Hello everyone, another busy day at work but I wanted to check in just in case I don't have a chance the rest of the week.

Not much going on here. I hope Karen is having a good time. I am so jealous. However, I am going to DL so it's not to bad . I can't wait to go. We used to have annual passes so we would go at least 5 times a year but they raised them so much it's just not worth it us to shell out all that money at one time. We haven't been there since May so I am in desparate need of a Disney fix. Now that we aren't spending so much money on this cruise I am already planning at least two visits to DL next year. I am hoping to take my in-laws next June but we'll see what happens. I am going to get our Mickey Ear Pirate Hats. For those of you who haven't been to DL let me know if there is anything you would like me to take a picture of. It's the last week of the 50th anniversay so I am excited I at least get to see everything on last time. They did such a good job decorating the park.

Good Morning...it's Friday!

Sorry I wasn't able to check in yesterday. I just had too many things going on around here.

Plans for the weekend center on birthdays. Today is my DH birthday, my daughter has another birthday party tomorrow and on Sunday we'll be celebrating my DH's birthday with my side of the family.

This weekend is looks like the weather is going to be just gorgeous with high's in the mid 80's, so hopefully I'll be able to spend some time outside enjoying the last bits of summer.

Well, I'm off to work. Hopefully I'll be able to check in later today.

I dont have much to say lately, but like to keep us bumped up to page one, especially over the weekend in hopes more people will join us.

Tonight my son, Randy is coming over and bringing his dog, Poncho for me to doggie sit for a week. I am excited to have him come over, it will give Minnie someone to play with.

Did they decorate the castle there??? It has a lot of gold on it at WDW, it is beautiful!! If they decorated the castle there, maybe get a picture of it, I would love to see it. Thanks,

Taking a short break from work, so I thought I'd give this thread a "bump".

I'm so happy. I just won a $25.00 gift certificate to Chili's. Hopefully we can use it tonight on my DH's birthday dinner

that's great, enjoy the certificate. Chili's is a good place to eat.

We are HOT today, I had to add water to the pool because so much has evaporated out the past few days, even with a little rain we got.

Going to take Minnie to Petco and use their self service bath area to give her a bath as soon as DH gets home. we need to go and get right back so we are here when Randy and Ponchi arrive.

I'll check back later and see how everyone is doing.

well Poncho has arrived. what a busy week this will be!!

DH took randy to the airport at 4 a.m. At 4:01 Poncho started crying, barking and howling!!! Minnie decide she should be polite and do the same with her house guest??? So I was serenaded until 6 a.m. when DH returned.

Then I had to move all my Disney figurines in a bedroom and close the door for their safety.

These dogs are so playful and checking each other out. Poncho weighs around 100 and Minnie is 50. that is 150 pounds of playful trouble dashing around the house!!!

It will be an intersting week here!!!

I hope everyone's had a good week and everyone who's off having Disney fun, I wish I was with you. My DS just told me yesterday that for our next trip to WDW, that he wants to go for 2 weeks instead of 1. I asked him what we would do for that long, how many times we'd go to the parks. He told me we'd go the parks the same number of times and we'd stay at the hotel the rest of the time and watch Disney cartoons, lol.

It's been a long week and I've rarely had a break, but I'm hoping this coming week will be a little calmer.

Thought I say quick hi before the day gets going.

Kathy - How Ponocho adjusting to you son being gone? My parents had a mastiff that we watched while they went on vacation. As soon as they left, she went to an upstairs bedroom, watched them leave and she just laid down and cried. The entire time they were gone, she only left the room to go outside. She barely ate. I thought she was going to die from a broken heart. It was so sad...

Laura - I know just what you mean about those off having Disney fun. As I was running errands and cleaning the house, I was just thinking man, I need a break. It's been nonstop since we got back from Disney at the beginning of August and I don't see it letting up until mid-October.

My dd had a rerun of Full House on last night. It just happened to the one where they all go down to DW and "Uncle Jessie" was singing "A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep...." How wrong is that

Well, I need to get ready to take my dh to breakfast and pick up some stuff for his birthday celebration this afternoon.

Poncho has been too busy playing to miss Randy much yet. He is a very good dog, it is our dog who has caused the few problems we have had.

Just wanted to give this thread a "bump".

My DH's birthday celebration is over and the house is back in shape. So, now it's time to relax

I think I'm going to go do some cross stitching and watch a movie. Then later tonight the Redskins will be playing, so we'll be glued to the tv rooting for our team.

How was everyone's weekend?

My weekend has been adventurous to say the least.
I have learned a lot about my dog and my sons dog!!!

1. Never have food down where they can fight over it!
2. Keep fence locked around pool if you dont want a 100 pound lab swimming all day in it.
3. Always have extra dish towls around to wipe up all the slobbers off yourself, rug and furntiure.
4. you'd better learn to speak Lab because he will talk your ear off and you'd better be able to talk back or he gets very upset.
5, ALWAYS have a few milk bones in your pockets for emergencies!! The LARGEST they make.
6. Most of all, just because your pets have been spayed and neutered doesnt mean they wont try to get "friendly", so keep a squirt gun handy at all times.

That is the bulk of my weekend, thank goodness DH was here to help. now tomarrow he will go to work and I will be left to fend for myself with the critters!!
Actually they are both very good dogs, but ours has never socialized with other animals before, we've only had her 10 weeks. Poncho is as passive a dog as you would ever want, just a big baby really.

well thats my entire weekend and will probably describe my entire week too.

It's going to be another beautiful day here - low 80's. Is this about the weather we can expect for the cruise?

yep,
the weather on the islands is usually around 80 in the winter months. Florida is usually a little cooler, so if you come a day or two early you may need a light jacket for morning and evening.
When we go this November I will report back about the weather after we return.
