Raindrpz WELCOME!!!!

so glad you stopped lurking and decided to post with us. we are a small group but we are growing. I am happy your in laws are coming, now I'm not the oldest person in our group :rotfl2:
sorry about that, I couldnt resist that one!!!! I have been the oldest here.
I have one question for you, if you dont mind,
what is your first name???

Laura,
so glad you made it back safely and had a great time.
I agree with DS that Tom Sawyer Island is aneat place for kids. A welcome break from standing in lines. I think the caves are realy neat for the kids to explore. I think alot of people miss that place too.

Christine,
Sounds like you are surviving too. Have fun on the strip!!!

Kathy

Howdy y'all,
well we may get a little rain late today, but i wont believe ti til I see it. They said that yesterday, 70% chance and we got zip!!!
Not much happening here, DH is on the floor playing ball with Minnie before going to work, DS isnt feeling well and is in bed. he is suppose to wrok this afternoon and go to visit a friend in NY tomarrow, so I sure hope he is feeling better when he get up this morning.

Mostly I just wanted to keep us bumped up.

I will check back later to see if anybody else posts today.

Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for the warm welcome!

lvstitch - I'm really looking forwarding to getting to know everyone so that by the time the cruise comes, it will make it that much more fun!

Kathy - Sorry, it looks like I didn't do my signature correctly. My name is Kay. I won't tell my inlaws they are the oldest, if you don't :)

Laura - I love the picture of your son with Minnie! Thanks for sharing..

It's a rainy day here, so being at work isn't so bad :rotfl:

My DSIL and I are thinking about matching t-shirts for the day we board. Have any of you done this?

Kay, it is good to know your name, :cool1: thanks!!!

we have matching shirts on my cruise next November, but it's not just the family it is the entire cruise meets thread. There will be over 100 lime green shirts the first day at the terminal. :rotfl:
It will look very bright that day!!!
There is a picture of a turkey carrying a suitcase with Mickey head on it, dont remember the wording on it. A lady on that cruise got in touch with a printer and got a great price because of the large order. ;)
I may put my name on the back of it in black letters too, so they will know who I am. :goodvibes

I have seen lots of families with matching clothes. some all shirts, other the men have matching shirts and the girls have sundresses that are made to match the shirts. Those made for some great boarding pictures. They look great!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

It was suppose to rain again today. it's still clear blue skies here, :sunny: although the wind has started to blow, so maybe it will blow some rain our way, but I'm not going to believe it until it happens!!! :rolleyes1

well have a good evening everyone,
Kathy

Good morning to all!!! :sunny:

Well still no rain here, they keep saying it is coming but it never seems to get here. we need to keep watering the new palms trees and grass all the time or they will die, so we wind up with a huge water bill, almost $300 a month. :sad2: OUCH!!!
We never have had to water in the summer before, only in the winter. Some areas are 11 inches below rain averages.

well enough complaining, hope everyone is doing well today. :thumbsup2
my grandkids just started back to school today so they are very unhappy!! HA! HA! :rotfl2:

talk with you guys soon,

kathy

Kathy - Wow 100 lime green shirts - what a sight :) Someone needs to take a picture :thumbsup2

A $300 water bill - I can't even imagine.

How's Minnie doing? We have three dogs (two golden retrievers, a cocker spaniel) and four cats. DH said "no more" - not sure why :rolleyes1

My kids started back last Monday but had an unexpected four day weekend. They closed schools Friday because of the potential flooding caused by Ernesto.
So far, they seem to being enjoying school (thank goodness!).

Well, I guess it's time to fold some laundry.

Have a great evening!

Sorry I have missed a couple of days but I have been just so busy at work. I start to type but never seem to be able to finish. I didn't take a lunch today so I have some time now.

My husband and I always wear matching shirts in DL and WDW but not on the cruise. I dressed a little less "disney" when I went last year. However, I do plan on doing matching Disney bathing suits :thumbsup2 on the next cruise.

Still hot here, it was 107 last night and right now it's 101. They keep saying it's going to be in the 90's but I think they just say that to make us happy. My DMIL just left today to go back to NY and was looking forward to so cooler temps.

It's been a crazy month so far. Pompom my 13 yr old Pomeranian has been having lots of Seizures and it's been pretty scary, she's on medication now and seems to be OK. I was able to take her to work today to watch her and so far so good. It's tough watch your dog get old.

Good morning all,

I hope you little doggie is doing better still. If Minnie had a seizure i would be so worried. I did have 2 dogs I grew up with, one a pomeranian and a mix dog that both lived to be very old. 16 and 15 I believe. It was hard to see them go down hill so badly, even though I wasnt still at home. finally they were suffering so badly they had to be put down. My mom was so upset a neighbor had to drive her and the dog to the vet, one week apart they both had to be put down. :sad2:

I will take a picture of all the green shirts to show you guys. I would feel funny about wearing it, but since 100 plus people will be wearing them I am going to do it. People will probably think we are a big family reunion or something. :dance3:

we finally got some much needed rain last night. I was very happy, even with thunder and lightning all night. We sure needed it. :goodvibes

well time to do some :laundy: and ironing, and such. I will check in with you guys later, dont work too hard everyone,

Kathy

Kathy, I'm so glad to hear you finally got some rain. And I'd love to see the pictures of those shirts. That's going to be amazing to see so many of you in the lime green shirts, lol.

Christine, I hope you get some relief from that heat soon and that your pom is doing better today.

Kay, did I say welcome? If not, I'm sorry, welcome!!!!!

It's been a busy few days. Today was my son's first day of pre-K. He had been stressing about it for days and had been quite a handful, but it turned out just fine. He loves his teacher and had a great day, whew!! Add to that, our post-vacation let-down and a really bad allergic reaction and hives I developed in WDW (I'm definitely allergic to whatever they wash the sheets or towels in, same thing happened last time we were there) and I'm on 2 antihistamines plus prednisone to calm that down.

I hope everyone has a good night!! :)

Happy friday everyone,
Laura, I certainly hope you are feeling better soon. ;)

Well another week is about gone, which means we are one week closer to our cruise, YIPPEE!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anybody got plans for the weekend?? :confused3

no plans here, DS has been ill and I have been trying to get it too, so just taking it easy I guess.

Have a great day, :thumbsup2

Kathy

Laura I am so sorry about your allergic reaction. I know it sounds crazy but you should bring your own sheets next time you go to WDW. Glad your son had a good 1st day at school.

Thanks for all your well wishes for Pompom she seems to be doing OK right now. I am just enjoying all the time I have with her. Yes, she is getting extra special treatment.

Kathy I hope you and your husband feel better. Sometimes a nice quiet weekend is all you need.

It has finally cooled down here. It was 80 when I came in to work this morning. It feels so good. It will still go up to the 90's but thats nothing.

I am going to Delirium - Cirque du Soleil with my sister this weekend. We are big Cirque fans so I am pretty excited. Other then that not much except watching some baseball. It's getting close to the playoffs so every game counts. Go Yankees :worship:

TGIF!

Christine - Do you mind if I ask the cause of your dogs seizures? My cocker spaniel has been having them on and off for a couple years and the vet said without doing further tests, he thinks it's epilepsy. She seems to get right after there's a lot of excitement (like having guests over, holidays, etc).

Laura - I wonder if Disney uses Tide to clean their sheets. I've heard of some people that can't use it because it cause them to itch terribly. Hope you're getting better by the minute!

Kathy - Sorry your DS & you aren't feeling well. There's a cold bug going around here, too. My DH had it a couple days ago, but is getting over it now. Be sure to get lots of rest.

We're having beautiful weather today - low 80's and wouldn't ya know it, I'm working

I didn't think I had any big plans for the weekend, but once I started making a list, I realized I have a million errands to run. My daughter has a birthday party tomorrow, so that will probably give me some time to cross some of those items off my list. :thumbsup2

Good morning ya'll,

Laura, hope you are better now. :cloud9:

Kay , hope your DD has fun with the birthday party. Those are big events when your young!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Christine,
How is you baby doing ( doggie)?? Better I hope! :thumbsup2

I hope some of you other people will check in with us soon, :goofy: we miss hearing from you guys!!

Kathy

Hi, well I am keeping us off page 2.

Minnie got her first walking on a leash lesson today and did really well. She only tugged for the first ten minutes then she walked really good for DH. She is 50 pounds now, so is very strong when she wants to be!!!

Tomarrow will be round 2 of the walk / tug o war :rotfl2:

Kathy

Hi! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

We had a very busy day between the errands and the deep cleaning I gave my house today. I'm tired, but boy does the house look great (Not that I expect it to stay that way long with my kids and animals :rotfl2:

Kathy - My daughter had a great time at the birthday party. The theme was "Candyland" and all the girls had a blast. You are so right, when you're young, birthday parties are a big deal. My DD was up first thing this morning trying to pick out her party dress and matching jewelry. princess:

Glad to hear Minnie is doing well. She sure was lucky to find you all.

Not sure what's going on tomorrow, but I'll try and stop by to say hello.

Good night!

Howdy everyone,
cloudy here today, but it will still hit 90.
Another 4 or 5 weeks and the humidity will be all gone and we will be 75 to 80 for the winter!!! Love the winters here, hate the summers!!!

Nothing going on here, just doing :laundy:

Minnie will get here 2nd walk in a couple of hours. DH wants to mow the lawn first. Right now DH and Ds are out to breakfast, so it wiil be awhile before they go.

I will check in later and see if you guys have posted any news. :surfweb:

Kay, glad to hear the birthday party went well,

Kathy

Hi everyone!

Hope you're enjoying this wonderful Sunday. We're having absolutely gorgeous weather here today - mid 70's and sunny. I'm going to enjoy every one of these days because winter is coming much too soon.

I just got in from cleaning my car and doing yardwork with my DS. He's great a pulling out all those weeds with the really long roots. My DD is playing with the neighborhood kids and my DH is still at work. Guess it will be time to make dinner soon, but for now, I'm going to do some cross stitching and dreaming about our cruise

Kathy - How did Minnie's walk go?

Kay,
her walk went very well. She didnt pull much at all and she loves going for a walk, which helps. She really seams to catch on quickly on most things. DH will continue to walk her each day so we know she will be 100% trained soon.
Probably 8 or 10 walks to have it really perfect. Hopefully!!!

well we bought a couple of movies, so going to watch one now,
will check in later,
kathy
