Speaking of cruise stuff:

Who's ordering a basket from Shirley or from DCL?

We're definitely getting something for Jessalyn. I'll be sure to order Coke for the pop choices so Bill can use them with his Bacardi!
Last year we did the beach pails and snacks. Shirley did a great job!

Does anyone know off-hand how to go about adding other items to Shirley's baskets? For instance, including a princess doll could be a good idea. Is that something I would buy and ship down there, or do they go out and buy it and add it to the cost of the basket?

Anyone ever do a basket with alcoholic drinks (or any specific drinks)?

Just wondering what you guys have done before I call Shirley and ask her a million questions!!

Over the Door shoe holder for me. I alway leave something laying at home, last year it was a pair of capri's and a strapless bra. I'm an avid overpacker, but have tried in recent years to whittle the list down to gotta haves. Oh, I also forgot my toothbrush and curling iron last year. Thats what I get for packing at 3 am.

I always make a check off list whenever we go anywhere since I have to pack for 4, we would be in big trouble without it. I usually spend the weeks beforehand adding to it and then print it out a couple of days before we leave!

I love my over-the-door shoe holder. Haven't used it on a cruise yet, but used it in the camper this summer and decided it was priceless!!

The only good thing about packing a week's worth of diapers is that is space I will have for whatever we buy when we go home!

It's gonna kill me... but I've decided to split up our stuff this time in case luggage gets lost. Normally I really like packing everybody's stuff in it's own suitcase because it makes it so much easier to find everything throughout the week.

I plan on bringing the same dirty laundry bag (or 2) that we use camping. It can easily just be stuffed in a suitcase when it's full.

I will not be traveling with a purse, but a backpack that will contain everything from diapers, to snacks, a couple small toys and all of our documents. I always travel with one of those plastic folders with the velcro shut and in there I keep all of our travel documents. I'll probably need 2 for this trip.

I have my master list I use whenever we go somewhere. I also print an extra copy when repacking so I make sure we don't leave something behind.

I agree, it's hard to split everyone's clothes, especially when you have kids. But at least this way I know we'll all be clothed if one bag gets lost.

I hear it every time we go somewhere, and I still don't get any help!! At least I didn't have to go shopping for more clothes in St. Maarten because I forgot enough shorts & t-shirts. . .

I can't get away with anything............. The truth is; I actually gained weight after I started the ticker so even though I had lost weight at the last weigh-in, I couldn't change the ticker. Pathetic............but today I go again, and hopefully you'll see a change tonight.

Hey Cheri, Shirley (I think) will let you mail her what you want in your box. I think she did it last year for the Fairy Godmothers. Anyone else remember? I've got 2 birthdays to celebrate, they don't get anything but to go on a cruise. This year will make 4 vacations that he has spent on Disney property. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I should surprise Trey.

I got a cruise packing list somewhere on these boards and I'm going to pack off of that..........I'll carefully choose, Formal and Semi-Formal outfits, brunch of course kicked my ***, but the rest is swimsuits, tanks and flops...........

I'll probably have to pack one suitcase for WDW the couple of days before. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that. I pack a foldable duffle bag for souvenirs. I'm probably also going to ship out a box of "stuff" ahead of time.

I'm going to have some things for the room, but I think I'll do it myself.

I truly think that Trey appreciates all my lists. He has his set. I didn't make one for a trip to Jeff City one time and he had forgot his razor and we scrambled around so that he didn't look like a dirtbag on the floor of the house of representatives. I make sure to show it to him a couple times before the cruise and then I hand it to him the night before. I want to know how men do it, pack and not forget anything.

I know -- maybe it's because they ONLY pack for themselves.

Bill has done quite well over the years -- but his luck ran out on last year's cruise. (I wasn't overly sympathetic!)

Yep, I bring an over the door shoe holder...it's great to keep everything organized. I also used a portable shower caddie to keep all my shampoo, conditioner, soap and body wash in. I left it in the room the last time and haven't been able to find it again.

Oh I have one more packing tip: I always get Dove Facial Cleansing Pillows. They work great. They have soap built into them you just wet them and they foam up. They come 7 to a box, you just throw them out when your done.
