Hey everyone need your help!
My daughter's buddy who was supposed to be traveling with us is not coming. So... anyone with 16-17 year old girls travelling with us, could you send me a PM with their myspace info or face book or something? Now Kayla is totally bummed as wants to cancel and I see my fabulous trip turning into a nightmare.
Kayla isn't a Diser like I am but has cruised several times and loves the trips, this has really taken me by surprise! Imagine changing your mind about letting your daughter go at this point!
Didn't sleep at all last night worrying about this... will check back tonight after work....
Thanks!
Judy

Would it be an option to leave her home...or at least threaten too:rolleyes1 I'm not a parent but I would think the thought of you going on a fabulous trip without her might change her mind.

At 16 she might take me up on it.... 10 days without her mother around might sound like a dream come true! :scared1:

Just don't let Joey see any of your posts!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: I think my DH lurks periodically to make sure I'm staying out of trouble!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think the husbands will all get along great because they have to stick together against our ways!

My DH has no idea how to even get on this board so I don't have to worry as long as all you men don't tell him what I've been saying:eek:

Kathy, have a wonderfull trip...we'll try to get to 6000 before you get back:banana:

I was thinking of some random questions to ask everyone to keep us busy this weekend to make Kathy proud of us so here goes.

Have you ever watched a TV show and thought Wow, this show is about us:happytv:?
I have...I would like to say my life most resembles Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex and the City" but there's no way I could afford all those amazing shoes
. However, if you have ever seen "King of Queens" well then you have seen me and Joey. Yep, I'm the one always screaming and yelling and boycotting places:rotfl2: and my DH is just layed back and takes it all. OK, everyone has to answer this question. So let's go. We need to get to 6000 before Tuesday.

What t.v. show is our lives most like?
Big Love:lmao:

:rotfl: Just kidding.

I'll have to think on that and get back to you. But I posted another post anyway. So see how that works!!

Ok. I've thought about it.

My work life is definitely "The Office"... but with a female Michael.

The closest I can come for Home is probably "According to Jim" or "Everybody Loves Raymond" both of which I've watched an laughed at stuff thinking, yep, I know EXACTLY what they're talking about...

I wasn't told that thinking would be a requirement on this board!:rotfl: :rotfl:
I'll put my thinking cap on and see what I can come with. . .:scratchin

Looks like we have a new whipmaster in town!:worship: :worship: I hope I'm worthy!

Judy...sent you a pm for my DD-almost 16-my space.

:happytv: It's funny you guys talking about what T.V. show your life resembles....the girls I work with swear my family resembles....are you ready for this!?..the Cleaver family from leave it to beaver....:confused3 what a boring life I lead if I'm compaired to them :rotfl:

Christine: Will try to help get us towards the 6000 mark by Tuesday!

Booked my airfare home from Orlando late last night-been waiting for that "good" fare-got Airtran for $59 pp-best I had seen in awhile :woohoo:

Catch ya later....

OK -- here's what I have so far:

Back in our teaching days, Boston Public could describe our lives. Always some outrageous situation where you think, "you've got to be kidding me." A bit-o-useless trivia -- DD got her name from an actress on that show!

Also Curb Your Enthusiasm except DH, unlike Larry, knows when to stop and be quiet, and how to keep his wife happy, generally speaking!

Do you wear a dress and pearls while you cook & clean??:rotfl2:

Do you mean the Hyatt?? That is where the ultra-cool will be staying!!

How are you getting to the port?

Yes the hyatt regency, it is pricey but I figured so convenient. Not sure how to get to the port yet. We used one of the limo services before and loved it, we rented a car last time and dh wasn't thrilled with the dropping off and him still having to take the car back. How are you getting there?

Our lives are like Everyone loves raymond - I loved that show and am so disppointed that there are no new episodes. Dh hated the show, wonder why:confused3

Your menu sounds great: two things though:

**What time should I be there?
**You forgot our official "Full Frontal Nanaty" Drink

You laugh but Robin and I call ourselves sister wives... for those who watch Big Love, she is Margene and I am Barb(older, anyway) except she gets the husband stuff- I guess she she is married to him that's okay with him!- but they truly are our other family. Since my husband passed away 5 years ago her DHKen has been a "daddy" to Rach in almost every way- like taking them sailing and surfing!!!!! letting me do the discipline!

So, TVshow must be Big Love the G rated version.

I'm not really sure what our lives are like - but our wedding was kind of My Big Fat Greek Wedding without the Greek part... but that was nine years ago yesterday.. :)

Would like to have a good relationship with my dd like the Gilmore Girls (but with a dad) and romance like.. I don't know, Cinderella..? Happily ever after..?
