11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 2

Haven't got much going on tonight. The boys are off to spend the night with their Grandpa. They went to see The Simpson's too. That's not my cup of tea so if they wanted to see it they had to talk Grandpa into it. If the weather is OK tomorrow they'll go fishing on Lake Michigan. I won't see them until tomorrow night. It takes a couple of hours to get used to the quiet.

Kathy, I bet your house is quiet after a month of company! Were you ready or are you going to miss them?

I've been working on cleaning everything and getting stuff ready for a garage sale. I think we will shoot for next Saturday. My stuff is basically done now I need to go and occupy the baby so Stephanie, daughter, can get her stuff around.

Happy Friday, everyone!!

Yesterday was Jason's 6th birthday and we are having his party tonight. whoo hoo!! Wouldn't you know it's been bone dry around here most of the summer until the past few days. That's because we have rented the city's public swimming pool for an after hours swim party! It's been raining on and off since Tuesday with a mild threat of another storm during the next few hours. Figures. Hopefully the skies will remain clear until 10:00 p.m. so the kids can swim and we can eat the Costco cake without it getting soggy.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM...Costco cake is the best

Not much planned for this weekend. I finally got a new camera so I will be able to take pictures of our new place to show you guys.

I do miss them but it is also nice to have my house back in order and back tomy usual routine. We keep busy enough while they are here that the month flies by especially since we had a week on a cruise ship with them. Then going to WDW, the beach or what ever. I only see them once a year, sometimes longer, so a month is nice.

Oh, so many memories. I remember taking the bus to the port. SO COOL!!! I cant wait!

OK....just want to clarify...my goofy son is refering to the "bus" we took from Avis rent a car.....not the cooool DCL bus

I'm back after 4 days in Kathy's state......WAY TOO HOT AND HUMID RIGHT NOW Had a great time dispite the sweating that was going on
Saw the Blue Man group--what a great show!!! If you get a chance to see it...do it

Spent 7 hours in the Orlando Airport due to delay after delay--got home at 1:30 this morning

Just booked us at the Radison for Friday night before the cruise....is anyone going to be landing in MCO at about 6pm???? Want to share a cab???? Hope we wont be too late for the pool partay!!

Big time storms rolling through right now...need to shut down the computer....bye.......

We will be looking for you that evening. I am hoping it will warm that evening so we can all sit out around the pool for a bit, if not they do have a big lobby. They may not appreciate a bunch of nana heads invading their lobby but we could try if it is too cold outside. Something to think about anyway.

Sorry you had such a long delay at the airport, that can really be the pits!!

I agree with you about the weather, Sharon...its been weird. Dry dry dry and now every day we have rain. Good for the garden, though. I hope your party works out.... pool and cake....pool and cake...hard to miss with that combo.

Okie...ask Woo about delays...we're cryin with ya, dear. (glad your coming to the party...we'll keep the pool party going until you get there.)

I'm ready for the pics, Christine....and our complimentary pizza... UPS delivers, dont they? (this is no lie....Woo will verify it. We had a dog that could actually distinguish different pizzas from different shops....I miss my bubba).

Big day in our house today. We are going to see the Wiggles! !!!! Emily is beside herself. Elizabeth is horrified. Funny how fast things change as I remember going with Elizabeth just a few years ago and how excited she was. She begged us to leave her with my M-I-L but we already bought the ticket. So now we are torturing her with Wiggles songs and making her crazy. That's why you have kids, right?

I remember when Jess was in the Wiggles phase! She learned her colors based on what each one wore. Jeff was her favorite so we bought her a Jeff doll. She obsolutley HATED it!!! In fact, she'd cry whenever she saw it. If it hasn't been given away already, it's buried in a box where she'll never see it again.

She also liked the Wiggles movie with that guy named Wally. For a whole summer, she carried around the case to the movie like it was her doll!!! She even took it into Lake Michigan (the tape wasn't in there).

Now she's moved on to Disney Princesses and hot tub parties with her naked Barbies!!! She then hangs them by their hair on the clothes line!!!!!

I'm so glad you feel that way. I was SOOOO excited for my son to be able to ride the bus, but my enthusiasm began to wane when I read so much about the bus being late and not worth the money.

I really want him to be excited when the bus pulls up to the hotel

I think the first bus picks up at the WDW resorts around noon or a bit before (at least that's what I remember seeing last year). I think there will still be plenty of excitement! They play a video about the cruise and have it timed to end just as the ship comes into view. It's all good! Besides, by that time, there won't be much of a line to check in.

Good morning everyone...
Rachel (DD13) is coming home from 2 weeks at camp today and I am trying to be the cool mom and not grab her up with hugs and kisses when she walks through the door! Both of my girls have been gone for over two weeks- Kayla comes home on Monday night!- and I am so excited to see them. So today is my last morning alone and I am not sad to see it over but probably will be longing for the quiet in a week or two.
Robin played with her Disney rewards card last night- trying to figure out what to spend those points on... have any of you used them on the ship? We are such Disney buddies that we love to plan, shop, and think about Disney almost on a daily basis.. she won't use the boards because she is afraid she will become addicted to it like I am
It is hot and humid here today so I guess I'll get the house chores-yuk- out of the way so I can play later on... have a great weekend everyone!

just finished making pancakes and sausages for breakfast. My crazy dogs ate 3 pancakes each, no leftovers in this house
As sson as Petco opens up we ar eoff to use the self serve dog wash so our smelly dogs can become my sweet babies again.

Later today or tomarrow we are going to go and see the new die hard movie.

I got my new computer yesterday. The monitor is so big, I could sit across the room and still see it!

Bill & Cal are packing up to go to Cincinnati to see the Cubs & Reds play tonight & tomorrow. It's Cal's 16th b-day present!

Actually Jess & I will basicallyhang here all weekend. We're going over to my sister's this afternoon -- a little family get together with my other brother and his family as well. Tomorrow she wants to do "crafting." I told her if her idea of crafting is cleaning the house, then we're on!!!!! I'm such a bad mom!

Breakfast sounds great! Us adults are just getting moving around here and Jason is still asleep. The rains stayed away from our section of town and we were able to have Jason's party! My girlfriend was driving in from the town next to ours and she said it poured the entire way and thought there was no way we could have the party. She was surprised when she drove off the highway and the skies were clear by us. It was close to midnight by the time we managed to get our sugared-up six-year-old to bed so I hope he sleeps until noon!

I, too, have the classic mickey disney visa so happy points to you! Where's the cheeseburger in paradise restaurant you go to? My brother in law didn't realize there was one nearby.
