Welcome Kim and family. There is myself Dawn and my two grandsons that will be cruising this November. They will both be 11 at the time of the cruise, Skylar and Christian. We also LOVE WDW and been there lots of times. We'll leave in a month and be at POP for 17 days!

OK Kathy, you made a sugarfree cake and they brought home lots of candy! I guess it's a good thing that it was sugarfree!

My son Jacob will turing 10 on Nov. 23rd while we are at Disney. He will be so excited to know someone. I am going to have him start posting on his own. Do the kids ever post?

We're finally back from our trip to Tennessee & North Carolina!

We had a pretty good time, especially since we got to spend lots of time with Bill's brother & wife. (I just realized I forgot to get details about St. John from my BIL!!! I mentioned that I needed info during the first afternoon we were there, but then !!!! Oops!)

to the new families. We (DH, DD 6, and I) live in northern IL and we're gearing up for DCL trip #3! Looking forward to meeting you!

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi! (I have to go back a few pages to get up to speed!!)

Thanks for the big WELCOME everyone. I showed my mom and she was like "Wow, that's really neat!" Of course my mom is still impressed with the telephone... Anywhooo, I can't wait to catch up on everyone's lives; only about 200 more pages to read through

My DH has just now been able to get my attention as I have had my head buried in the group forums for VBS I came home today and told him I finally posted and I have to tell ya', he wasn't nearly as excited as I was

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I threw dinner together, shoved it in, threw the dishes in the dishwasher and told everyone I'd see them in a little while because I had "work to do"

Some people just don't get it...........

My husband thinks I'm a bit nuts about our cruise too - since we're really heading off to Oslo,Norway first (leaving on Thursday) and I'm not QUITE as excited about visiting Norway as I am to go on a ship with Disney characters... I mean, don't you understand why??????

grrr.... you're right about some people NOT getting it : ) .. although I probably should pack for Oslo before packing for the cruise (just downloaded my 'packing list' for the cruise.) ha- ha - ha

Can't wait to meet EVERYONE here on the cruise too!!!

Kathy -- great trip report! I totally agree with your points about rules not being enforced (I'm all about rules !), the stale smoke from the casino (though I have no problem with Vegas!!), and the bizarre disembarkation procedure (perhaps they need to check with DCL to see how it's done!) on Carnival.

Bill hope your burrito was yummy on Friday since you couldn't be bothered to say "hi"!! We also ended up having burritos (but no margaritias -- just lots of wine.).

Gonna call it a night. I still have some "car-lag" since we drove the entire 13 hours yesterday.

I'll post about our exciting "whitewater" rafting trip one of these days!

ABSOLUTELY! Hmm.....maybe I could just plop myself down in a bar, hang out there all day, and you nanas can stop in and have a drink with me as you come or go from various excursions. I could seriously do that!

Then usually the parents watch for new people with kids about the same age and try to get them to PM each other or exchange IM addresses or e-mail addresses.
My grandkids do this every cruise. They love it and still keep in touch with many of the kids they meet on the cruise thread.

I sit here at my desk painting my toenails waiting for the clock to tick 11 am so that I can leave and not come back. I wish each and everyone of you were going with us. Kim, I see your signature says you were married at Disney in 1996. What type of wedding did you have there? We were married there in 1994. We had about 25 family members, Cinderella's Coach, Mickey and Minnie and Brunch at 1900 Park Fare. It was the most amazing thing we could have done for our wedding. I'm so glad we did it. I still love looking at the pictures.

Well everyone we got our "A" from the Health Department and it looks like we will finally be opening tomorrow

The sit down restaurants arnt too bad really. Because they are open for a couple of hours usually and you can come anytime during the posted times and sit where you want to. Most do the buffet so they can be doen quickly and off to do things around the ship, also with small kids it is easier to do the buffet.

You wont have a problem getting a seat.
