If I were to buy 150 RIV and 25 VDH, does anyone know if I can use MB on the 25 VDH points (I know I can’t combine incentives otherwise).

Great question. I'd assume, like you, that the overall incentives, including MB, need to be identical between the two resorts. But I think that some (let's call them) "soft" incentives can change depending on how much DVD wants to sell points for a resort. I sorta think that you can make any semi-reasonable request for the cabins and VDH and have a chance of it being honored. Let us know. Interested in how it turns out.

Usually summer incentives are better. Not impossible, but companies are less likely to be aggressive with discounts at the beginning of their fiscal year.

We got a decent deal in Oct 2023 on VGF, but admittedly the summer deal was better.... hmm. Maybe I should go ahead and add on now.

As long as you close after 10/1, if the october incentives are better your guide can rewrite the deal.

I believe it's 150 to get MB on any purchase. VDH I'm pretty sure presently has MB. But the poster's hope is that DVC will allow this to be viewed as a combined purchase of 175 points so that MB applies to both resort. Maybe a DVC guide gets this to work, maybe not.

Does anyone know the difference between the incentives that expire today and the ones that appear to expire 9/29? I asked my guide a while ago to confirm the pricing and expiration for current incentives and she left a message today that today is some deadline for certain incentives, but not clear what those are. Is it just leeway on deposits and such or would I lose actually pricing/incentives by waiting a week?

It's probably the discounts associated with the welcome home weeks. Since those end today 9/16. I would lock something in if you are for sure wanting to buy soon. I think the welcome home weeks changes made the deals pretty decent. They may go back to being bad after today.

For now it says that, but then immediately after it says "offer end date subject to change"

So it really just depends what they want to do. The other offer they had before welcome home weeks started probably had a later end date originally, then they chose to end that offer to start the welcome home weeks offer.

And Ladapo hasn’t rescinded his vaccine mandate reversal chatter so I guess I’m not taking advantage after all. I really hoped it would be just bluster, they’d take back their words, and I could buy direct after all for this promo without worry, but they have been dead silent. And I can’t go for that.

I spoke to my guide on the 11th and asked if there was a risk that the extra incentives would be removed on or around when Welcome Home Weeks concluding. I explained I would rather write later in case Oct incentives are better and also due to a personal situation; however I wouldn’t want to lose out on the extra incentives by waiting. She made some calls and called me back to say the incentives aren’t getting pulled before September 29th. Just sharing what I was told.

Just got off the phone with my guide, she said they were told this morning that the welcome home week incentives ends today. Of course it may be extended, who knows. That said we are going through with 150 Riviera points and were told we have 30 days to sign, so if the incentives get better 10/1 we can have it rewritten.
