Brantley :bday: ... great cake! Did you have to pillage for your gifts? arrrrrrrrr pirate:

LOL, no pillaging. But with a Mickey Mouse card, Mickey Mouse wrapping paper and a Pirates cake, I guess it's easy to tell who just might be the DISNUT in this family!!!

Good morning my new found Disney friends... or should I say Disaholics~
See, I said I would post often...
Since I don't have the time to read all of the posts, could someone catch me up if there are plans already made? I know our plans about St. Thomas are coming together- the private catamaran sail room for two more!- and St. Marten is a quick trip to Orient Beach for lunch at Kon Tiki... other than that I dream of Palo and the spa and my breakfasts on the verandah....
:surfweb: Off to school- it is our second to last day with kids- I LOVE SUMMER!

Good morning,
Glad to see you posting again so soon.
I would say we have semi plans for a meet on board if that is what you are referring to.
I think we are going to do about the same as last time. First day at 2:45 in the Promenade Lounge we will all meet until it gets close to time for the safety drill. Last time we all found each other in the terminal because we all had matching shirts on, accept Bill!! We had to have him change into his shirt in the terminal. He wont get away with that this time!!

We also did a small gift exchange, $10 limit. we tied for an ornament that was related to the state we were from. It was easy, if you brought a gift you received a gift. This was voluntary only.

There was also an adult meet at Signals bar by the adult pool area. That was a hectic time for people with kids to leave kids so not a lot came.

It was great running into people all over the ship during the week. Many did connect dinner ressies so they ate together. I dont know how they did this, but if someone offers again, and youw ant to do it, just let them know.

Shell, are we going to do the same again this time?? any ideas?? It is probably time we start making definate plans.
Would love to hear from everyone on this subject soon.

For the newbies ... Kathy keeps talking about our green shirts last November. Well for your visual reference, here's how we looked on Day 1 at about 3:00:

And this was the first time we'd met!!!

Kathy, let's see if any other ideas come up. I think we'd agree from experience that that first day meet before the drill was the easiest to get everyone together, because once we all got settled in, it was nearly impossible to get us all in the same place again.

what a great lookin bunch o' people... bet this years will be great too!

Now that I see the picture, don't we have to work on Lauri (YippySkippy) to get her to join us too ? And when is Tonya finally going to break down and book this cruise. And Wendy. Come on folks!!!!!!!!

 I CANNOT BELIEVE PARIS HILTON IS OUT OF JAIL! Ok, just had to express my disgust ...

Jeff: I just e-mailed Kelly, so hopefully she'll drop by and post on one of the boards.

Judy and Nancy party: :welcome: party:

Judy: I have teens too: DS 17 and DD15-always looking to meet new friends.

Nancy: I'm from PA too-about 45 mins southeast from Philly-how about you??

Jeff: Agree about the philly airport-scary sometimes  .

I'm scaring myself-haven't booked airfare or hotel yet--the last 2 years I had all this done by January--why am I procrastinating this year :confused3

Have a great day-off to pick up my niece from the hospital-just a small procedure.....

Why? She served three hard days! :rotfl2:

I second that...this is such a joke. She is on house arrest for the next 40 days...yeah to some people her house would be a luxury vacation:rolleyes:

I dont believe they let her out either!!!
That is so stupid, if that had been one of us they would of thrown away the key!!!
I say the mutt needs to give her a sharp tooth in the butt and I'll whip her butt, probably for the first time in her life!!!
A great example for todays kids:sad2:

Shell,
I agree, wait and see if any other ideas pop up and I do think we should make it before the safety drill because we do all go our own directions after that. Hope to be able to get everyone there like last time.

Jeff,
after the last crusie Yippie Skippy said you would never get her back on a cruise ship again. I dont remember the reason. perhaps they were one of the families who got ill?? Maybe she will of changed her mind by now:confused3

I left the dogs all by themselves for 45 minutes today. Minnie is just fine but it was the first time for pixie. Someone has been with her 24/7 since we got her accept when Minnie had a vet appt.
I didnt put her in her carrier like ai did for minnies appt. we have our kitchen area and family room where the dogs can go and baby gates blocking the restof the house from the dogs until she is trained completely.

Nothing was chewed up or knocked over and no messes. YEAH!! Both dogs acted like I had been gone for weeks when they saw me.

Tomarrow I will find some thing to do for a couple of hours and see how Pixie does. I hope ok, so we can start getting to leave for a few hours at a time again.
Having a puppy again really limits you for a few weeks. I know it will be worth it in the end, but it is hard for now.

I forgot all about our group shot, that was fun to see again. It would be fun to have a professional photographer take one this time, maybe the first sea day in the atrium between 9 and 10 a.m. we could all throw on our shirts for that and most events dont start until 10 or later, most folks could be up by then.
Maybe the first day we could ask at guest services or at shutters when they open to set up time and then leave messages on everyones phones when to be there?? I have seen other large groups do photos, so there has to be a way to do this.

anybody got any ideas or thought on this??

I wouldn't pop a tooth in Paris Hiltons butt--those things carry diseases. I doubt I could find the thing to begin with. I will say that her getting out just proves that the "haves" are treated entirely different than the "have nots". God bless America and our wonderful justice system.

Ok....is anyone going to St. Johns...I need recommendations. We want to snorkel and swim some. Give me some of your experiences, please.

Jeff, I think your beating a dead horse with these people but I admire your hout-spa.....dont worry, we're going to have a great group, newbies and oldies.

Bill - I know. I just want everyone to come along. Let's make our group double sized! :dance3:

We went to St. John's on a vacation when we were just a family of three and Elizabeth was around 2 or so. We stayed at the Westin for a week but explored other beaches too. Trunk Bay was a place we went and it was gorgeous. Plus it has a snorkeling trail - truly an underwater marked trail that you just walk in off the beach and follow. It's great fun. There are other less crowded beaches on the island as well (Cinnamon Bay comes to mind) but we didn't spend too long of a time there, so I can't assist on that one. I believe the DCL excursion actually goes to Trunk but I'm sure you could do it on your own as well. I believe we will be going there - likely booking a DCL excursion if possible.

I hear ya, Jeff. Most of the excursions talk of a 1 hour ferry ride over. I don't think we'd want to mess with outside parties where getting to the ship on time is an issue.

Let us know what you guys are doing this time around. I guess Shell found a Sunny Liston-like tour you might be interested in....take your time....Monday....tuesday....ah, you know the drill....hehe:banana:

No....I think we've had enough of Sonny. I'm pretty sure we are going to go to St. John's on whatever DCL excursion there is. If for some reason it's not a beach excursion then we'll probably just do a STT beach break with DCL.

Still planning a day sail on our own boat with Captain Pat... kinda expensive but I am all about memories created! I never wanted to take the time to travel over to St. Johns, we always grabbed a taxi and went straight to Meagan's BAy with a prearranged pick up time. Good fun!

We are considering the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Maarten and the Screamin' Eagle Jet Boat (or just the Trunk Bay tour) for our excursions. Since we aren't Castaway Club members, we can book 75 days out. Do you think we will have a problem getting in these?

Today was the last day of school! Alyssa is now going into 4th grade, and Bella is now one step closer to starting Kindergarten in the fall! What are we doing to celebrate Alyssa's big finish? Why, getting two teeth pulled early on Friday am, that's what! :headache: What a way to start summer vacation!

Have a good day everyone!:flower3:
