Jeff,
they look so precious and very proud of themselves.
Holly.
I think our gas will porbably hit $3.50 by the weekend.:scared1:

Even though it was cool i'm sure the kids had a blast at the party. Did you take any pictures?? would love to see them if you did.

kathy
Our gas will be up there too by this weekend, if not more, because today it's $3.45.

Yup, the kids did have fun at the party! :goodvibes Unfortunately, it was so hectic, I didn't have time to take many pics. I only ended up with 7 or 8 pictures. :sad2: Will post them later. :thumbsup2

Hi everybody...I'm still around...mostly reading...not posting....

Jeff: What cutie pies your girls are :cutie:

Wendy: Did you get my PM re: Hershey???

Kathy: I love your new addition :yay:

We are getting ready to go for our annual camping trip this weekend....my kids love it!!

My favorite gas station today had the Reg. at $2.99-guess we will tip the $3.00 mark tomorrow

Have a great week everybody........

OK Kathy....here you go! ;) I only managed to take a handful of pictures of the whole party and completely missed the chance to get any pinata whacking pics. :sad2: I wish my dad or stepmom would have grabbed my camera and taken pics, but I didn't even have time to think of asking them. I was so busy....but it was lots of fun too! :thumbsup2

Here's Tyler in front of his party sign, waiting for guests to arrive:

Next is Tyler sporting the Crocs (crocklings) I gave him. That was a present he got to open before the party as a reward for being so helpful that morning cleaning and decorating:

Pic of his cake taken before anybody arrived---Don't laugh, Mutt...pretty boring compared to your cakes:
100_0404.jpg

Kids playing after eating pizza, just before cake. Playing in the back yard seemed to be everybody's favorite part of the party:

Blowing out the candles:

After cake we did the pinata. After 3 rounds of everybody having a chance to give it a good whack, it finally started to break. We could see an opening, and the kids could see the candy just hovering on the edge. Their excitement at that point went to a whole new level and I felt like a body guard at a concert trying to hold them all back ! :rotfl2: Needless to say, not able to stop and snap pics at that point. ;) After the pinata we did goody bags for all the other kids while Tyler opened his presents. I felt like I was in a little mob with them all crowding around us, wanting to see what he got! So no chance for me to take pics then either because I was trying to prevent a brawl when the kids wanted to see his new stuff and of course he didn't want to let anybody touch the new stuff. :sad2:

One last pic. This is after everybody left, he was sitting on the couch hugging his Build-A-Bear he received as a gift. It was dressed as a pirate, but he took all its clothes off (the clothes are scattered on the couch) so it would be ready for bed:

Looks like the kids had a blast. I hate the pinata exactly for the reasons you described and you did a great job of describing it that I was laughing out loud here. :rotfl2: :lmao: . I actually prevented it in my house for the first five years of Elizabeth's life. She really was indifferent. But I think peer pressure got the best of her and we had to have one on birthday number six. And it was just as awful as I had suspected. Little kids got trampled. There was crying, Oy.

The good news is that after that, we have been having "sleepover" birthday parties and other girlie girl things that dont' need the pinata. Now on to Emily. We haven't had one yet for her...but I know it's only a matter of time. :scared1: Bring out my security tape!

morning all,
Holly,
Those are great pictures and I thought the cake was cool. He is really into camoflauge isnt he.
hope you can post a picture of the bear with his pirate outfit on, it's sounds really cute. I would love to see it sometime.
It appeared everyone had a great time. I was never brave enough to have a Pinata for my kids, I know they would of taken the stick and clobbered someone instead of the pinata:lmao:

I was so late getting on line today I was sure others would of beat me to it.
I had early 7 a.m. appointment an a few errands to run after that, so I got a late start.

It seems this week is filled with appointments for me and the dogs.
we are hot and muggy today. I hate that.

well off to drag out scrapbooking stuff. I actually gopt 3 pages done yesterday even with doggie sitting,

kathy

Is the smoke smell still there or no? We are very excited for this weekend and hope that the parks aren't too crowded. :rotfl: Yeah right. It's not a problem as we don't do the parks commando style since we get down there a couple times a year. Just looking forward to some together time as a family and meeting up with Stacey and her family. Kathy if you are headed to the parks at all this weekend, we will be at AK on Saturday to meet up.

Jeff

I have been here more than working. Just ready for the trip this weekend. We bought the dining plan for the first time ever. I don't really usually like being tied down to a schedule but the last time we were at the parks, there were so many people on the dining plan with reservations that I knew we had to make reservations or get shut out of our favorites for this trip. Thus, we thought we might as well buy the plan. We do have some reservations that will require cash but that's only a couple of the ressies we hold, so it should be all good. Anyway, here is our list of ressies. Tell me what you think.

Friday: Dinner at Kona Cafe
Saturday: Breakfast - Chef Mickey's
Dinner - BOMA
Sunday: Lunch - Cinderella's Royal Table
Dinner -- Liberty Tree Tavern
Monday: Princess Dinner at Epcot
Tuesday: Breakfast - Whispering Canyon

Ohmigosh ... in the next few weeks, I have the following:

1. 4 (count 'em, 4!) graduation parties (that is, as of today. Who knows what I'll find in the mailbox when I get home. I think my cousins all procreated like rabbits at some point and now I'm paying the price! :lmao: )
2. 3 birthdays, 2 of which are having a party, and 1 of those is a surprise party (which I'm going to miss because of #3)
3. 2 DIS meets (Linda & Bruce this Sunday for breakfast, then to N'Awlins with Mike & Wendy)
4. Father's Day
5. One hair appointment
6. One Dr. appointment

Can anyone lend me some money? PLEASE??? :sad2:

You are doing some of our favorites! We loved Boma last time (I HAD to make the Coconut Curry Chicken Stew when we got home), and we have been to Cinderella's for dinner twice. Dinner is two table service, does lunch only count as one? The princess dinner at Akershus is my girls' favorites. Although Alyssa thinks at times that she is too "cool" for characters, she turns giddy when she sees the princesses coming to our table. Bella is just over the moon because, of course, these ARE the REAL princesses! The food isn't the highlight there for us, although the cold buffet offers some good choices. Have a blast!

Hi Jeff,
your restaurant choices are EXCELLANT!!!:thumbsup2

smoke isnt bad right now. we did have 4 small new fires last night but they are out now, so it shouldnt be a problem.
I would love to sneak out to the parks but it wont happen this weekend. I do appreciate the invite, any other time I would be there!!

Both dogs will have had shots by Friday and it always throws Minnie off for a few days, dont know what it will do to the pup.
So we are staying close to home, Just in case. I dont want to come back to a BIG smelly surprize in the house!! :scared1: Minnie of course is 100% trained but puppy is just learning and cant be trusted at all.

I am hope to have her trained enough we can go on the 9th to see Wendy while she is here.

The weather should be great fo ryou, nice and warm but not too hot. So far the humidity isnt too bad, hopefully it will stay that way for while.

If the girls like Donald Duck they have redone the boat ride in Mexico at Epcot to feature him and his 2 mexican buddies from the cartoons, The Three Cabarellos(spelling?). it is cute, they may like that.

MK has the New Comedy Club from Monsters Inc which is cute . The jokes change each time beause the show is based a lot on audience participation.
Best place to sit is on the center isle seats for the best chance to be picked to participate. they use lots of kids for this.

Those are the newest additions I can think of that you may want to look for.

Epcot entrance has a huge topiary of a pirate ship with pirate characters, plus more as you enter the worlds. They really out did themselves this year for the festival there. Hope you will have time to check them out.

Yes we did BOMA last year too and that's why we're going back. We have done the princess dinner a couple of times and yes, Elizabeth is a bit "over it" but Emily is enthralled, which actually makes it fun again for Elizabeth!

No lunch at Cindy's castle is also 2 table service..so we are just paying cash for that one!

and we WILL have a blast. Can't wait. :yay:
