I had to do a potty run with the pup, so I got slowed down.

I figured you'd be sleeping it off this morning for a bit longer:lmao:

It is a nice sunny day here today.

hope more people post today, we are way too quiet. Although I think about septrmber when vacations are all over and kids are back in school w ewill get more talkative and more will join the last 3 months.

well got to run, see y'all later,

kathy

Greetings all.
It's recital day!! Emily woke up this morning and said "I'm so excited..." It sounded so cute coming out of that little 3 year old. I took some pics at dress rehearsal on Friday and will get some backstage shots today (not allowed to shoot the show) so hopefully I'll get some time later tonight to download and post a couple.

Have a great day all. I'm on my way to errands and then 4-5 hours of little girls dancing. Luckily between Elizabeth and Emily, they are in more than 25 percent of the numbers so it keeps us interested.

Boy, let's hope so! Otherwise you and I are going to be carrying on all of the conversation on the ship! :scared1:

Talked to Wendy yesterday ... her sister is on the Magic's crossing eastward and today is the first day they've set foot on land in 6 days. Wow, don't know if I would like that or not ... :confused3

Oh, Kathy ... Wendy told me that next week when you meet them down at WDW that she would call me and put me on speaker phone so you can yell a HELLO to me :lmao:

Hey Jeff - good luck on Elizabeth and Emily's dance recitals! Alyssa will email her today. Your next Disney trip is next weekend? I am so jealous.

Kathy, gas prices in MN were at $3.36, the highest I have ever seen here. Crazy! I remember when I though $1.36 was insane! My call on the dog name is Pixie...

DH is out of town on a bike trip and the girls and I are on our own this weekend. We hung out at the Mall of America awhile yesterday to see the winner of the "Grease" reality show, Laura. She is from our town and they had a big sendoff to Broadway for her.

I also went to the Disney Store to look at cruise wear. Do you all dress up for Pirate Night? I found a really cool rhinestone skull shirt, but other than Pirate Night, I'm not really into the whole POTC hype. I think we'll be the family that is all cutesy and matchy-matchy and dressing up for the theme nights (much to the dismay of my husband).

Have a great day all!

Howdy all,
Jeff, looking forward to the pictures.

Shell,
as loud as my mouth is I could probably stand outside and yell hello to you and you would hear me.:lmao:

I have been working on scrapbooking papers today while watching the doggies. They play great, just have to take puppy out often to go!!

I spent a good deal of my morning cooking taco meat and sloppy joe meat and then put it in the freezer for later. I usually have most of the summers meals prepared as much as possible in the freezer so it wont heat the house up so much during our hot months.
Now I need to make spaghetti sauce,a few meatloafs, to put with what I alread have and will belooking good for summer and for company coming.

I may make a few pies to freeze and cookies too, cant forget the desserts .

It has been a busy catch up day today for all the things I couldnt get done last week .

Hope your all having a great Sunday.

kathy

Danielle,
I hope we dont catch up to your prices on gas. that is terrible.

I dress up for pirate night in a home made lady pirate outfit. Nothing fancy at all, Greg wears the POC T-shirt and bandana usually.

Have fun with your girls!! they will be grown before you know it!!
Kathy

Hi everyone, I thought I would drop you all hello. Life has been pretty busy here the last few weeks. Lots of end of year stuff going on at school.

Gas prices are very high here as well. I found it for 3.33 a gallon today and that is on the cheaper side here. I saw it as high as 2.45 today:scared1:

I talked to some of our friends the other day and they are cruising with you all this November:banana:  Lucky them. I sent them this link. I don't know if they will check it out or not. Sure makes me want to change our cruise tho this year instead of next.:confused3 John said he does not think he can get the time off to go this year. I guess I will have to wait 18 more months:mad:

Well nothing too much going on today. DD is at her friends house. Other DD has her cousins over. I am just cleaning the house.

Jeff-Madison also takes dance. Her recital is not for another month. I really wish we were having ours now. This time of year is always so busy!! Looking forward to seeing pictures.

Kathy-Your puppy is really cute!! Can't wait to hear the name you choose.

Well I better run. Off to do some house work.

Lorna:banana:

just checking in .
Lorna, good to hear from you. sounds like your very busy still.

well off to wind things up for the night and to get ready for bed.

will be back in the morning,

kathy

Gas here has been in the 3.20s for just over a week or so. Maybe longer, I just wasn't paying attention until people started talking about it last week. I think it's been around 3.40 for a couple days, so I'm wondering how high it will go for Memorial Day weekend.

Busy weekend here. Yesterday was doing all my running around preparing for Tyler's b-day party today (5th). His b-day isn't until 5/29, but with next weekend being the holiday weekend, not many people could come, and the weekend after that is my sister & her husband's birthday. It was a good day for the party because the rain held off, but it was supposed to get up to 61 and I doubt it even got out of the 50s. Some kids were wearing jackets and just about everybody had to wear jeans and sweatshirts. Pretty chilly!

Some quick pics from today's recital.

Jeff,
they look so precious and very proud of themselves.

Holly.
I think our gas will porbably hit $3.50 by the weekend.:scared1:

Even though it was cool i'm sure the kids had a blast at the party. Did you take any pictures?? would love to see them if you did.

kathy

Wow Jeff, the girls have gotten big since we saw them in November. I love the grin on Emily. Looks like they had a great time.

Less than 2 weeks til I see the Mouse:banana:

Jeff, what a couple of little princesses princess: princess: !!! Did Daddy get them their flowers?

I bought gas yesterday for I think either $3.07 or $3.12/gallon. I mean, after it gets so high, what's the use in noticing the price???

Wendy ... did you get the picture I sent to your cell last night?:lmao:

Good Morning,

I had a crazy busy weekend just finishing up all kinds of shopping before our cruise next week.

Gas prices are between $3.15 and $3.25 right now. They are already $3.50 in California so I can't even image what they will be like when we drive there next weekend. I told my husband to be prepared to pay about $3.75 for regular gas:eek: I'll tell ya owning a business you can really feel the effect of such high gas prices. People just aren't spending the way they used to. All extra money is going into the gas tank. Lots of business around us are really slow...except of course the casinos:rolleyes:

Of course the flowers came from Daddy. Emily had fallen asleep before the finale and despite getting woken up and dressed didn't go out on stage. The fun part was that Emily was such a ham on the stage. She was waving at people and looking for her grandpa in the audience (will grandpa be so proud of me?). One family came up to us during intermission and introduced themselves and thanked Emily for making the part of the recital that didn't contain their niece so entertaining. I can't wait to get the DVD and see the candids that the official photog was taking as I can't imagine he didnt' catch some of her "performance."

Christine,
hope you guys have a great cruise next week.
I will be anxious to hear about it when you return. I hope your hubby stays well for the entire cruise. You both deserve a break for once,

kathy

I don't have a lot of good pics since I was focusing on video (it is dance afterall) but here are two more. Elizabeth in her Hawaiian dance class performance and Emily at her other show - gymnastics last monday.
