For kicks I checked the cruise port schedule and it was showing 6:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. That would mean 7:30 to 4:30 for us. I called DCL and the rep confirmed it. :thumbsup2

Yeah....and what time is happy hour?

Happy Hour is whenever we want it to be!
Linda suggests we take DCL towels with the logo on them to wrap ourselves up in. That way when we're staggering toward the port they'll know who we belong to!:lmao:

Here is what I have confirmed for dinner/character breakfast for those that want to overplan.

8pm Rotation – LAAPLAP – Character Breakfast – Sunday 9:30am
8:15pm Rotation – APPLAPL – Character Breakfast – Thursday 9:45am
All Subject to Change

Of course the 8:30 one is PLLA..by process of elimination :)

Susan you will love the WL it is beautiful. Glad you have figured it all out.

Would the rotation be the same for the Main dining times, as in the character breakfast? I will assume since I have a young one that we'll be the earliest.

Fine minds think alike!!! Are we still on for cheeseburgers in Paradise?
If it's an early ashore, we have more time at Margaritaville. PARTY!!:drinking1 :dancer: party: :dance3: :dancer:

Sandy - I made my t-shirts today. I used the dark t-shirt paper as per your recommendation, on white shirts. They turned out great. Except for mine. I forgot to remove the backing paper! I ran out of transfer paper and printer ink, so mine is on hold until I can get to Staples and WalMart.
Cool! Can you post a picture? I would love to see them.

I need to get to work on my door signs. Other than the two I posted here, I don't have a clue what I'm going to put on our door. DS wants to do the scene from Finding Nemo where Crush says something about not hurling on his shell because he just waxed it.

Thanks all, prayer, hugs, and pixie dust make all the difference.Surgery came out great, pain is minimal, actually about the same as before I went in. Will know more after dr. follow up next week. But I'm getting by without any meds, and sleeping well. Thanks again for all your kind thoughts..The other Ken ( D/H of love 2 travel) for those of you who don't know.:cool1: :cool1:

Glad to hear you're doing so well!!!:flower3:
Just take it easy on Sunday. Cincinnati is not a big threat and our boys will do fine. No need for you to jump up and down and scream and throw your hands in the air. Watch the game quietly. :happytv: GO STILLERS!:cheer2:

That's weird. I just called DCL and they said 9:30 all ashore. How do we know for sure?

The difference could be port arrival time versus tendering times? I doubt that they would start tendering so early in the morning.
By the way, when we were on the Thanksgiving cruise in 2006, they served Virginia ham, turkey, roasted cod, venison medallions, and lobster tails. I still have my menu!

That must be Cozumel and not Grand Cayman. ;)

I hope you're right, but when I called back again to DCL because they were still in my ressie so I couldn't open it:confused: , they put me on hold to go check with shore excursions and some other area and came back and said that there hasn't been any changes to any of our times. However, the initial sheet I got from Disney had us getting to GC at 11:00, so now they're saying 9:30. They didn't let me know of that change that I recall.:confused3

Oh well, my excursion is at 9:45, so it probably wouldn't be changed to anything much earlier than that. I'll look at it as a day to sleep in.:thumbsup2

My brain is stuck on PM. No, the rep definitely told me ashore at 7:30 a.m. Am I the one with bad info? I know the cruise port info isn't always correct either.

You know how it goes with the DCL reps. Most of us know more than they do sometimes.:rotfl: Either way, we are just doing the island tour, and I'm doubtful they would start it much before our time anyway. I was just hoping to get the island tour done early so we could try to get some beach time before going back to the ship. However, I'm so exhausted right now that sleeping in doesn't sound half bad either.:goodvibes

Yeah. About posting a picture....... I have to have DS do that for me. I'm not sure how to do it!:surfweb: I'll ask him after he gets his homework done.

I just thought of something, I need to go on and do our online paperwork, haven't done it yet. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed......I need to sort through my summer clothes, sort through DD's summer clothes, start packing, finish FE gifts, etc. I did start my packing list, one thing accomplished.

I haven't done the online check-in yet either. DS wants to do his own, so we'll probably work on it this weekend.

I really need to do some clothes shopping. My family keeps asking me what I want for my bday and I've told them all clothes or better yet, gift certificates for clothing stores. ;) So I guess I'll wait until after our multi-birthday party.

We wish you a speedy recovery!! :wizard:

Regarding GC, as previously posted we will be tendering from the Magic. The first tenders are reserved for DCL sponsored tours. After the early tours board the tender, then they allow all passengers to Tender. It can be rainy in GC in November. We missed GC in 2005. The Captain went all the way there and we were not able to drop anchor. Keep in mind, 2005 was a horrible hurricane season. It was the season of Katrina, Wilma and during our cruise-Gamma since they ran out of letters in the alphabet.

In 2006, we were very fortunate. The weather was not good, but the Magic was allowed to drop anchor on the back side of GC and then they shuttled everyone on buses to the main part of town. All water excursions were cancelled.

In 2004 and 2007 everything was great!! No rain and no problems!! In 2007 we did the Island Tour and snorkel w/ stingrays through DCL. It was a great tour!! We went to the turtle farm, rum cake factory and then out to meet and greet the stingrays. We then were dropped off in town w/ enough time for lunch and shopping before we needed to tender back to the Magic!! :thumbsup2

Correct, by process of elimantion it is Monday. CB are Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

That would be different than the last two years then. If starting in Parrot Cay, the character breakfast has been on Thursdays, with Animator's on Sunday, and Lumiere's on Monday.

I just read through three pages so I am sorry and I will try to remember everything correctly.

First, I must say that 2006 GC was such an adventure. those buses were interesting. the water was crashing up the rocks and splashing across the street to the shopping area.

I bring one pair of lightweight cotton pants jeans are too bulky.

I have a faxed confirmation from a few weeks ago and the all ashore in GC is listed as 9:30. My DH and DD have an excursion at 9:45 through DCL so I am guessing in theory we will be there by that time.

As for the dining rotation. Yes the 8pm matches the 5:30 and so on and so forth. The thing that differs is the time of th CB. I belive I posted the times for those. It is like 1 or 1.5hours earlier for those on early seating.

And Lexandme don't forget you can call and request a dining time. They make no guarantee, but I am not sure I have ever met anyone who it was not granted.

Lisa/Chuck we will see you in the parking lot....race you to Rockin' Bar D :)
