Well, things may change for us.:scared: :sad1: :sad2: :scared: :sad1: :sad2:

We have had horrible rain here the past 2 days and when we woke up this morning, we had water in our dining room. It came in thru the lights. My dad is here now because Bob is working. Dad says that we need a new roof on our deck and that is what caused the water to run into the dining room ceiling. We had an estimate in the spring for the roof over the deck, and it was $3000. We were hoping to wait until after the cruise. Now that it is leaking in the house, we may have to cancel.

OMG! It dropped again this morning!:cool1: We now have a $404 credit with Southwest. I just keep checking several times a day, and when it drops, it's really easy to make the adjustment with Southwest. It looks as if DH and I will for sure be taking a mom and dad only trip some time in the next several months.

Susan--I was naughty yesterday and made reservations for DH and I for our anniversary, our 17th will be on Oct 26. We're going to a bed & breakfast in Stillwater, MN, that we stayed at for our 10th. They also have a really neat dinner train. We're going on the weekend of the 31st. I feel guilty that it's so close to the cruise. We never get any time to ourselves, so I figure it's ok, since after March it will be all the harder to get away.

How about the Chiefs beating the Broncos? It's about time they win and to do it at home against Denver is even better.

Sandy - Here's my ignorance showing through again..... What's a GTY cruiser?

Lora - Keep your chin up. Gets lots of estimates and maybe it can even be repaired/patched instead of totally replaced. Cindy's right. Fall/winter is a slower time for craftsmen like roofers. You may get a discounted price now that you would not get in the spring.

I'm going to check on Airtran and watch their prices. Maybe they will lower theirs as well.

Just checked Airtran. Our flights are almost $800.00 more now than when I booked in the spring!!!! I would check SW prices but if it's a lot less I'll get upset.

Couldn't find any Pirates shirts today! Zip, zilch, nada. I went to 3 stores! I think the city is so embarrassed they pulled them off the shelves.

Teresa --- Steelers/Ravens tomorrow night - Monday night football!

When I booked the cruise the category I wanted was full so they couldn't assign me a cabin number. They guaranteed (GTY) I would get a cabin in that category or better. At least that's the way I understood it.

Stacie - That sounds like a great time. Good for you, you need to treat yourselves! :thumbsup2

Stacie,
That sounds like fun!:goodvibes I think it's good to get away without the kids sometimes (although we've only done it once:rotfl: ). I do plan to use our credit to surprise Brian. I'm just trying to figure out what to do. It is about time the Chiefs won!:thumbsup2

I've got to get to bed. My homework keeps me up late at night and then I can't get up in the morning. Hope all of you are already in bed fast asleep!

Susan

Good Morning.
The DIS countdown has us at 53 days!!!

Teresa - Tailgating started at 4:00am today for the game! :cheer2: Downtown is going to be crazy. Pgh is also gearing up to celebrate its 250th birthday and there's lots going on. There will be Zambelli fireworks on Sat shot from barges on the rivers, from tops of buildings downtown and waterfalls of fireworks from the sides of bridges. It's to be the largest fireworks display ever in the world! I hope we don't catch on fire.

Sandy - Thanks for the clarification! I keep reading about GTY reservations and have been totally in the dark!

We'll probably take the trolley to Station Square, on the river across from downtown. We'll watch them from there. If it's going to be too crowded we'll watch them on TV! You should drive over!
I'm trying all of my resources to get Stiller tickets. So far I'm comng up blank. Price is a deciding factor as well. They are expensive. We are a town with a major football problem!
My boss called off today. When I asked him if I could leave early due to the traffic his response was "I'm sick. I don't care what you do Hick." I guess that means yes!!

Good luck getting tickets, Monday night football is awesome!

I am telling you, after today, it seems like this cruise is YEARS away. I'll be glad when it gets here. I was reading a thread on the margarita, wine, beer, and martini tastings . . . . Count me it!

We did the margarita tasting on our last 7 night cruise, and my DH was practically wasted from it.:lmao: Of course, he drank his, mine, and several others that were at the table. Steph (imsomaha) can tell you--it's true! I didn't like drinking tequila at all, but my DH wanted to get his money's worth.:rotfl:

:lmao: I'll be at the margarita testing alone probably. My friend may come, but DH hates tequila. He plans to be at the beer one again. He did great last time with the trivia and got quite a few extra beers.

I'll never get tickets! I'm trying to get tickets for other home games and coming up blank as well. I just went for a walk on my lunch break - just to get out of this building and I saw several cars with Ravens flags on them. That's risky behavior in this town!:scared1:
Ken - right beside ya for the tastings! Maybe not the beer but DH will be there! Why don't they have whiskey, bourbon and scotch tastings? You'd have to drag me away! Our friends from N. Ireland bring back real Irish whiskey when they go home. It's actually moonshine made in the back of barber and butcher shops in Belfast. It's unbelievably smooth and wonderful. It kicks too! They bring it back in old bottles and it's never the same color - it runs from clear to dark brown. And you have to know the password to buy it! If I could get it through to the ship I would! Maybe in a shampoo bottle? Is that called "smuggling"?

I have a question. Disney's new movie "BOLT" will premiere on land on Friday, Nov. 21st. Do you think it will be showing on the ship when we sail?

My DDs are counting on it! We saw the trailer recently and it looked like a good movie for the kids. Two years ago they were showing Santa Clause 3 - got the whole family in the mood for the holidays. Not sure if there are any holiday films coming out this year. popcorn:: My DD(almost 10- 27 days and counting down) is begging to go see the Chihauhua movie this weekend.

While I am on, my DW wants to know if any of you have the pattern for the ears, bow, pirate hat, etc that goes around the door numbers. I found them posted on another thread but I can't seem to print it out the correct size. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help me out of this? Maybe someone can post the link or pm me the file.:confused3 As my DW says, this would make her door decorations complete!

I believe they premiere on the ship the same time they do on land. The only difference is the ticket on land is $8, we are paying $3000 (but the popcorn is free).

Most likely. We were on the Wonder the day before POTC 3 was released. Someone on the ship told me the next group would get to see it, I think starting at Midnight. But the ship is supposed to show all first run Disney movies. DD will be very excited. Maybe DH and I will allow her a bit of freedom to see the movie with a friend so that we don't have to. :lmao:

Actually, I thought we had to pay for the popcorn. Or is it just the drinks and candy? I guess no stopping at Target and filling up my purse before that movie. :rolleyes1 But maybe deck 9 and a no spill cup will do.

On our last cruise, National Treasure 2, prem"ear"ed on our cruise. They showed it at midnight the day it came out and several other times. I really wish they had real popcorn onboard instead of the bagged stuff, but there's nothing better than watching a movie in your jammies. popcorn::

HerQSmee--I have the ears pattern somewhere on my computer, I'll try to find it. I don't have the other stuff though.

DH and I have been working on naming the baby. You can vote here: http://www.babynames.com/namelist/9657262
