Unfortunately, summer is over and that means closing our pool! DH got in it a little while ago and told me he thought it should stay open another week.

Today my first grandson was born. Tristen Aiden 9/24/08 6.13lbs 19.5in. My daughter ended up having a csec after being in labor for 16 hours of labor his heart rate kept dropping and so they had no choice. They found he was sunny side up and the cord was being pinched laying across his shoulder.

Don't we all sound like a good time!?! Tires, laundry, studying, cleaning. If there ever was a group that needed to get away , it would have to be us! I'm actually looking forward to going grocery shopping tomorrow - just for something to do!

DS and I will finally be getting our passport pictures taken tomorrow (B1G1 Free @ Walgreens). DH will be mowing lawns so we'll all go to the passport office on Tuesday (DS doesn't have school). I will feel so much better once I get our passports in my hands.

We had a tiny cold front come through last night. It was 69° when I got up this morning, but it quickly warmed up to the normal high this afternoon, 88°.

Bonnie--Are you sure that DCL will take care of your luggage with that early of a flight? We had a noon flight once and had to take our own luggage. The luggage goes in a seperate truck, not on the bus and they told us it wouldn't make it time. We had to wait in the check-in line and then go through security. I saw your post on the main board but I can't remember what the responses were.

The rep didn't mention that to me at all. I was banking on that so I could bypass the line. Sounds like I need to talk to someone else.

I'm off to take Lexington to the groomers. He smells so bad right now! He rolled on a dead mole the other day and it was pure pleasure for him. He smiled all afternoon!

Our day sounds like everyone elses. Laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping. I'm hoping to find some time later to do some scrapbooking, but first I need to go to Walmart and find stuff to do a project with Kenzie. She has a picture of a scarecrow that she needs to decorate. I'm thinking rafia for the straw, a denim patch for his pants, a plaid patch for his shirt and pumkin scrapbook buttons/brads for his face. We'll see what happens. Her last one was a squirrel, and we used different scrapbook papers. Don't you just love the lower grades.

today on our agenda, looking for magnetic paper to make our door signs, buying a few more things to finish up our Fish Extender gifts and of course doing laundry, laundry and more laundry. Have a good weekend everybody!!

I am going to working on making more FE gifts, and holding my grandson. MY DD and baby come home yesterday. Both are doing great and I love hearing all the noise a baby can make. He smells just delicious too. Can you tell I am in love?

Good news here! Our airfare dropped, so we now have a credit with Southwest. Maybe DH and I will go away for a weekend WITHOUT the kids for once. I'd like to surprise him with a weekend trip for Christmas to somewhere fun, but since we'll be gone for Thanksgiving, DH's dad might just have a fit if I try to pass it through him. They dairy farm together, and I'm pretty sure my FIL won't be too happy about us being gone on a trip two months in a row. Of course, my FIL and MIL just got back from a 16 day trip to Washington, so surely a measley weekend trip wouldn't be too much to ask, would it?

DH is working on some of our FE gifts right now and is waiting for my help. He thinks I'm over here doing homework on the computer. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

I'm still waiting to hear about my upgrade to my 1 bedroom suite. I would like to host a series of small cocktail parties for everyone but I'll be unable to do so until they upgrade me!

I had a horrible dream last night. I thought we had already come home from the trip and I couldn't remember a thing about it. I kept thinking about the activities that I had planned and nothing - I drew a blank. When I woke up I was almost in a sweat!

Plans for today are to finish laundry and go to Michael's for more FE stuff. I also want to buy a Pittsburgh Pirates t-shirt. This season they have the worst record of any professional baseball team EVER! I must commemorate it with a shirt.

Well, things may change for us.

We have had horrible rain here the past 2 days and when we woke up this morning, we had water in our dining room. It came in thru the lights. My dad is here now because Bob is working. Dad says that we need a new roof on our deck and that is what caused the water to run into the dining room ceiling. We had an estimate in the spring for the roof over the deck, and it was $3000. We were hoping to wait until after the cruise. Now that it is leaking in the house, we may have to cancel.

We had roof issues on our previous house. DH did the work and replaced it himself (his brother helped) but what a job that was. You might try to see what the estimate is now, I've noticed that contractors are not as busy in this bad economy and you might get a better price.

I will say some extra prayers for you and your family. I hope everything works out. It's no fun spending money on things like that. Keep us posted on how things are going. We had floods two years in a row, and I'm talking major floods. We own a dairy farm, and our crops were ruined, our shop was filled with about three feet of water, and all of our farm equipment was standing in anywhere from 3 to 5 feet of water. It was very, very depressing. I don't care to ever see that much rain again. It's funny how when we need rain, we don't get it. When we don't need it, it just keeps on coming!

OMG! It dropped again this morning! We now have a $404 credit with Southwest. I just keep checking several times a day, and when it drops, it's really easy to make the adjustment with Southwest. It looks as if DH and I will for sure be taking a mom and dad only trip some time in the next several months.

As for the price of the cruise, I'll let you know if it drops. I also check it EVERY day and I also log in to see if my room number has changed. So if you are all wondering about room assignments, prices, etc., don't worry! I've got you covered and will let you know if I ever see that something has changed. I need a new habit, don't I?

I read somewhere on the DIS that DCL usually assigns cabins to GTY cruisers 35 days out. So on October 18th we'll hopefully know where we're going to be sleeping.
