LOL--definitely mean "like" a normal person...I have a 1.5 year old so I too only fantasize about sleeping in, and being "normal" in general!

Thanks for the advice ladies--I think I will just take my chances and just go to bed and wake up when the toddler lets me...hehe.

Welcome to all the newbies.

I paid in full (haha. I just typed pain in full. Freudian slip?) today and reserved Palo for Tues night. That's about it for us. No excursions.

As for the hotel the night before... I MIGHT be giving up a 2BR suite at the Residence Inn. If I can get 2 rooms at the MCO Hyatt for a good rate on Hotwire, that would probably be better for us. We arrive a bit on the later side & w/a 2 YO, getting to bed sooner would be better. I'll let you all know if you want.

Now to finish the FE gifts, make the FE & door magnents, and purchase a few minor items.

Hi everyone! Can't wait for the cruise. Nearlt time for us newbies to make ressies. We have a plan, we're just waiting fyr the go signal.

On a personal note, we had a health scare this past week, that I feared would make us a no-show for the cruise. DW had a test done and we feared the worst, but furtunately...all is well. The outcome could not have been better. So now, in addition to celebrating my b-day and DD's b-day we have something else to celebrate. Can't wait.

I do have question, though, what is this bumping thing I see folks do in the threads?

By the way, let me add my voice to the chorus. Congratulations on the new job!!!!!

SO glad that the health issue turned out well. And what a MAGICal way to celebrate that wellness.

Bumping - when someone posts, it moves our thread to the top of the list. When things get quiet, we fall down page one and sometimes, even end up on page two which none of us likes as it is more difficult to find. So - bumping is just putting us back up ant the top of the cruise meets list.

Well everyone - Drew is packed and leaving today for college. He doesn't need to be there until tomorrow but is spending the night at a friends. David and I get to take the truck down tomorrow with the couches and heaven only knows what else is in there. He goes for soccer camp - his classes don't start until after Labor Day.

Nah, you're not the only one. I have ideas, but haven't started making them yet. And of course, having the idea and actually getting the darn things produced may be two very different things... especially now that packing is also thrown into the mix.

Thanks!!!! I'm a firm believer in the idea that God gives us what we need when we need it. Not always when we want it, mind you... but when we need it. That's where the credit for this job has to be put, that's for sure. Not trying to start some religious discussion and I surely don't mean to offend anyone, but I just had to say that because I personally feel that it's only right to give credit where due.

And I'm very glad to hear about the fact that DW's test turned out well. Even more reason to celebrate!!!!!!

I made FE holders. DO NOT buy the hot iron transfer paper at JoAnn's. Tailor is the brand. It's Dreadful! I had to finally outline my little transfers with puffy paint to make them stay on.

Hey, I haven't forgotten about the Saturday update. I'll have to do it when I get back. Gotta go get some free moving boxes!

One thing I did want to mention though. There are still five folks that have a "1" (true) in the column about "is anyone in the stateroom participating in the FE" but then have blanks in the next columns (# adults participating, # kids participating and # of teens participating). Y'all please run out there and let us know how many of each age group are participating. I know some folks are looking for those numbers. And if you have trouble getting to the spreadsheet just PM me with the info and I'll put it in. I'll send PMs to folks that still have blanks in a day or so.

Happy weekend! I had the worst day teaching Kindergarten yesterday...nightmare! However, since I'm a substitute I bask in the realization that I don't have them for the whole year!!! So, it's back to cruise planning for me, my favorite!

Emailed the ebay seller that does the FE's. She went on vacation back in July and I haven't heard back. Hoping that she will get back to stitching! However, if she doesn't, I will be forced to attack one of my own.

Assembling the boys FE gifts today...how many extras is everyone planning?
Finished the babies and Toddlers, girls 1/2 done with the teens. Adults, well that's DH's job!

I bought mine on ebay a couple of days ago. The seller (bunnysew?) was very responsive and said she'd have it done in a week. Kind of pricey with the customization though - $45 when it's all said and done!
