11/06/11 Dream 4 Day

Hi, Fellow Cruisers

My husband and I will be joining you in November.

Although I have lurked for years and years, I finally broke down and registered. We're park veterans, but cruise newbies so I hope we enjoy this as much as I THINK we will!

:cheer2:WELCOME!:cheer2:

I'll add you to the page one rouster.

Where in Phoenix are you....I'm in the North/Central Valley and work downtown.

the outskirts of Hurrican Irene are heading our way tonight - you those who are being affected by this storm, our thoughts are with you.

I also fininshed my door signs today and was working on my FE gifts. I also bought my airline tickets this morning.

We have decided to surprise DD with a day at Discovery Cove on Saturday before our cruise - she thinks we are going to Sea World, she is going to be thrilled when she finds out we are going to swim with the dolphins.

I must be getting into the mood for a vacation. Today I created our door signs and got a little erasable magnetic whiteboard at CVS for $1.99.

Now I'm exhausted. Time to sit on the front porch.

Oh, I'll have to see if they have any at my CVS, as I'll need some for the inside and outside of the neices staterooms. :thumbsup2

Did you make a birthday door sign for me.....:rolleyes1

TEN WEEKS FROM RIGHT NOW....

I'll be having dinner/be in the pool with the great neices and nephew and sisters and sister-in-law and neices and hopefully some pals staying 'next door' will be popping by too! :grouphug:

I can't wait to hear all about that! I soooo want to go there , but I'm afraid ds10 will be intimidated by the size of the dolphins, so I want to wait until he's old (and big) enough to enjoy it.

Hope it's an awesome day for you guys!

as I discovered today, I made you a birthday sign a year ago. I'm nit sure you fancied it. however, I adapted it I to a very nice sign for my door this afternoon.

(I did make a sign for you and your big sister. I'll also go to CVS tomorrow and pick up a whit board for you.

Here's hoping Hurricane Irene passes by your area and leaves no major damage.pixiedust: Stay safe and dry.

Aw we just miss you at Discovery Cove by a couple of days, we'll be there on the Wed before the cruise. My two nieces (11 & 6) loved the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter so much back in Nov 2009 and wanted to do the dolphin swim this time. Discovery Cove seemed to be a better value than doing it through Blue Lagoon especially when I was lucky enough to get the Discover America discounted price.

Ian - love the new Cruise Curmudgeons pic!

I need to start thinking about our FE gifts for both cruises. I have a feeling this trip will sneak up on me.

Our Columbus Day weekend trip to Las Vegas has turned into a trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim. It seemed like a good way to use up a SWA credit rather than letting it go to waste and DH had a 4 day weekend between his regular day off and the holiday.

Well we survived the hurricane - lost power for about 15 minutes, so we were lucky, some folks not far from us are still without power.

Looks like great minds think alike - we are so excited to do Discovery Cove, bummer that we will miss you!!! I will be anxious to hear about your visit!

Well we survived the hurricane we were without power for 20 hours and had to be evacuated to higher ground. We had the small creek become a raging river:scared1: At 4am the fire dept came and got us and the 3 dogs in height of Irene in a frond end loader. We road in the bucket and were brought to the RED CROSS. Home was fine and so our we looking forward to a much needed trip to see the mouse!! :hippie::hippie:

It's always fun to find a good deal on airfare!:thumbsup2

Sorry have not been active...summer went so quick. Here it is the first day of September and both daughters back at college. Time to focus on the cruise....66 days to go!!! :cool1:

Labor Day weekend. I am now starting to feel like this cruise is getting closer.

Now that I have door signs, I need to print them. Unfortunately I ran out of color ink on more than a few of the 42,500 ink tanks on my ink jet printer.

We rarely print in color. I bought a very nice little B&W Brother laser printer that prints about 3000 pages per cartridge for 99.9999999999% of our printing needs.

Did that because of the cost of the ink jet tanks. Just like razors, give away the handle so you can gouge 'em on the blades.

I did make an interesting discovery though ... it's actually cheaper for me to buy a new ink jet printer (complete with cartridges) rather than buy the replacement tanks for my old one.

Of course they no longer believes that they should make a product that does just one and does it that one thing well. So, this new printer that's cheaper than buying ink is also a scanner, fax machine, coffee maker, sewing machine, serger, hair epilator, alarm clock, smoothie maker and whoopie cushion.

It also advertises the lowest cost consumables on the market.

We shall see.....

At least I hope to have door signs at the end of this and perhaps a mighty tasty smoothie too!

Who did you get to do your door signs? I have been looking unsuccessfully for someone to help me on the disigns boards, but so far I have been unlucky in my search. Please tell, or send me a message!!

Thanks! Leslie
