11/05/05 Western - Who's with Us?

They told me to order no more then 2 weeks out. I can't believe how anxious I am.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend I will officially start packing! Then I'm hoping the time will go a little faster because I'm sure everyday I'll think of something else I need to take & I'll be running back & forth to the stores to make sure I have everything. Then ...... the week before I'll start taking things back out and scold myself for over-packing. :rotfl2:

I can't believe it is that close! I still need to save some more $$$$$!
Well, had the $ for everything but went a bit crazy shopping for clothes
and shoes this summer ........
But it was fun :rotfl:

Yippee :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I must still make my door sign too!

Hey, what is duct tape needed for?

The excitement is really setting in now..................... :cool1: :cool1:

(I believe half the fun is the anticipation and planning)

Shall we post another question of the day?................For all of you lurking out there please chime in.............
Who's planning on partaking in the 70's and 80's nights festivities? (This is usually around 10:pmish in Rockin Bar D on different designated nights and oh so fun!) ?????

Count us in! Rockin bar D here we come!!! think we can get the kids to go to the lab? ;)

only 5 weeks away!!!

Love 70s and 80s music!!! Poohsmum, my MIL lives in Southwick, MA and formerly lived in Longmeadow-we r in Northeastern, MA-what town are you in?

Turtlegirl,
My DM, DH, DS, DBIL and newphew (who are joining us on this cruise) are from southern NH. They are flying out of Logan on Friday. We are all so excited to meet up with each other. Just over a month now. We can't wait.

Turtlegirl ... believe it or not, I'm a neighbor of your MIL. But, I actually grew up in eastern, MA southwest of Boston in between 495 and 128. I have family in Lowell.

We're set and ready to go. Let's see ... we've got hotel reservation the night before and after the cruise, got the rental car squared away ... haven't started packing yet, but I'll get to that soon. We decided to stay in Orlando before and after the cruise. Our flight actually lands at 4:00 on Friday, so we're going to do Downtown Disney that night and drive out to the Port on Saturday morning.

I think I'm done with them. :cool1:

Look for us on Deck 2 to see them.

Can't wait to pack. I think I'll start this weekend with miscellanous stuff and swim suits since we won't be using those here.

 Just wondering if anyone else is staying on deck 7 or ever stayed there before? I have downloaded some door signs, but have not started any attempts to make ours. I also have downloaded several different packing lists. Haven't packed a thing, and I'm starting to get nervous about it! My daughter has 3 cross country meets in the next week, and we are going to our first swim meet of the season next Sunday. I am so busy, I hope I can get everything we need together! Oh, and my boss here at the library is on maternity leave, so I am swamped here, too. Guess I'll have to roll with it! :rotfl: Claire

If it makes you feel any better, you are not the only one! I am starting to major stress out myself! There is so much to do and so little time! I can't wait, but it is almost coming to fast now! I was just telling my DH last night that I have to start some major lists and live by them, so I can get organized and get ready! :)

I know I am beginning to feel stressed, too. I have so much going on in my "normal" life, that I feel like I will be throwing everything together at the last minute! I am also a worrier, so I am trying to keep my "What if anyone gets sick?" "What if there is a hurricane?" thoughts to a minimum. When you spend this much money for a vacation, it's hard not to want everything to go right! I am going to keep hoping and praying that all goes well for all of us! :goodvibes Claire

nice to know that there are others who are preping. Have we settled on a meet time and place?

I purchased an over the door plastic shoe holder.... its on EVERYONES list !!! I hope they're right! The less I need to pack the better!

I've been debating on the shoe holder myself. It's everywhere on these boards as a tip! I'm just not sure if I need it. Also, I try to pack as light as possible, since we have to fly. When we go to DL, we drive, so I can bring whatever, but going to WDW/DCL, I am limited to what can fit in a suitcase! :goodvibes

The over the door shoe holder is a MUST! Ours came in very handy on the previous cruise. I just upgraded from a 9 slot to a 12 slot. ( You know how we cruisers love talking about upgrades-just had to throw that in there) They really don't take up that much room in the suitcase especially if you put it in one of those outside pockets.

I also wanted to share another tip-........just found little wine boxes the size of a tissue box at the liquor store. They are perfect for traveling, and will fit perfectly in the little cooler boxes in the cabins. It's called a "wine block" and holds 1.5L, (2 bottles). They come in Chardonay, Merlot, and a Cabernet. I believe they are Kendall Vinyards....Too Cute!

The bathrooms have limited counter space, so the shoe holder can accommodate all those toiletrie items: toothpaste, hairbrushes, hair ribbons, make-up, deodorant, powder, lotions, floss, first aid items, tylenol, shaving cream, hair gels, etc. Get the idea?
