11/05/05 Western - Who's with Us?

The bathrooms have limited counter space, so the shoe holder can accommodate all those toiletrie items: toothpaste, hairbrushes, hair ribbons, make-up, deodorant, powder, lotions, floss, first aid items, tylenol, shaving cream, hair gels, etc. Get the idea?

I haven't sailed DCL yet, but on RCI and Carnival I never had an issue with the bathroom space-there was plenty of room for this stuff and it was organized, too. There was lots of shelf/cabinet space. Are you saying that DCL doesn't have much space for this stuff in the bathroom? The next question would be are all bathrooms in all cats the same (we're in cat4)?
Thanks! :)

Jencav if you show me your room I'll show you mine. :rotfl: No that's not some strange pick up line. I really liked the cat 4 layout. We booked that one first. I saw pictures of the pull down bed & my son would have LOVED sleeping up there. But we ended up upgrading to a cat3 and as great as it will be to have the extra space I think we're going to miss that 'bed in the sky'. I'd love to see what it looks like in person.

:rotfl: Jencav,
There are 2 small shelves as I recall, but that is not enough room for all our stuff. Besides that the extra space would also be good for lanyards, wallets, cameras, highlighters, kttw cards, sunscreen etc. The more space the merrier.

DCL Customer Service told me that on Formal day you can either wear tux or suit. Please tell me what will you wear or your DH/DS.

Thanks.

We are staying in Radisson for 2 nights. Scheduled to take the shuttle at 10 am, do you think it's too early.

Maybe we could book our shuttle together. I booked ours at 10 am, is this too early? Too excited to see Magic LOL.

My fiance just bought a tux (he will wear it for our Disneyland wedding next June as well) but from what I hear, the majority wear suits.

Ok, this board is not helping! I want to start packing but I have resisted so far.

:cool1: Hello, we are staying at the raddison also, we contacted them and they gave us a list of drivers from a service, what shuttle are you all talking about? :confused3 Everyone keeps talking about packing, I just bought the suitcases on line yesterday, and I don't think the honey has enough clothes to wear....the kids are good... :cheer2:

:rotfl: That would be great! I'd love to "room hop" to see the differnt rooms! We have 5 people, though, so are limited to what we can actually book. That cat3 looks spacious! I'm not sure how much more it would have been for 5, though-probably a lot!

2 small shelves doesn't sound like much-not like what I had on other cruises. All that misc stuff does usually end up in a pile somewhere! I think I will try the shoe holder! Where do you usually get it? We're planning on going to a Walmart on the way to our hotel, to get some items - would I be able to just pick one up there? Thanks!

My DH will wear a suit. I'm not sure yet for formal wear for the kids because they usually don't come to dinner after the first night-they love the kids club! I'll probably just get them some slacks/polo (DS's) and dress (DD) so we can get a decent picture.

Nala11, why resist packing...resistance is futile ;) . This is our first cruise, so my DH is only taking a suit. Truth be told, I'd rather wear t-shirts and shorts everywhere.

I've noticed that a lot of DISers are staying at the Radisson or Ron Jon's. We are staying at the Resort on Cocoa Beach. We'll be getting in mid-day on Friday, so it'll give our DGD3 a lot of things to do. Only bad thing is that they don't have a shuttle to DCL, but we'll make it even if we have to walk!! :cool1:

We're also on the 7th deck and will be looking for other DISers. Can't wait for the "Magic" to start :Pinkbounc

I purchased the shoe holder @ the $ store.

As of right now, DH will be wearing a tux since he has one, and DS will be wearing a suit unless I can find him a tux.

For those who are staying on deck 8 or have in the past, what's the scoop with the noise level under the pool deck :confused3 ?

My DS15 will be wearing a tux, and I have a long black dress.
Hey.....how often do we get the opportunity to dress like this?
I wish more often. Even though I love casual too, but I do
that every day at work. Boring.

Got my see thru shoe holder too!

I've updated our list to include the added information about where people are staying.

Jencav5 maybe we can arrange a room hop at the 3pm meeting for some of the different cats.

Did we decide on a place for the meet yet?

Only one month to go today! :cool1: I'm so excited. I think it's starting to rub off on my family.

:cloud9: I also have an over the door hanger, and I am sure myself, 2 daughters, hubby and son will stuff it to capacity! I would love to see someone's suite - I booked 2 inside cabins because it was more affordable for a family of 5, and I will be happy to show anyone interested the set-up for future reference. Everyone in my family is getting really excited now. I even had a dream last night about being on the boat trying to get to the "Sail Away" party! Yes, I am just a tad obsessed. :earboy2: Claire

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Okay,we are in the home stretch! The suitcases will be coming out this weekend.

One question- which sounds better in Cozumel- Mr. Sancho's or Paradise Beach? DH just informed me he wants to cancel boat trip and stay on land in Cozumel. :confused3 Is anyone going to strike out on their own by taxi to a beach or do a beach excursion thru DCL? Thanks for your input! :goodvibes
