101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Okay- I'm too impatient to wait for more votes. 2x a week it is! I did take notes every night. I'm mostly worried I won't remember those little things that made it special, but I think I'm doing okay so far.

I'm posting my first post now...

It’s finally time to go to Disney World!!! :woohoo: My alarm was set for 6:15 on New Year’s Day. Obviously, there were no fun New Year’s Eve plans in this house!
I couldn’t sleep, so I was up at 5:55a.m. posting in the dark on my PTR. :surfweb: Hubby didn’t turn on the heat the night before, so I was freezing and waiting for it to kick in so I could shower. By the time hubby was out of the shower, all the kids were awake and watching a cartoon in my bed. They looked so cute snuggled up.

We all got dressed and packed the last bag into the car. I asked K (hubby) to grab the strollers, and he said he didn’t think we’d need them. I was not happy with that decision, but I went with it, with the understanding that we would rent a stroller if they kids started complaining. I also stated that I would not be carrying anyone back to the room at the end of a long day. Just as long as that was on record… :snooty:

We were on our way to McDonald’s for some quick breakfast. Whataburger was open, but nowhere else seemed to be open on New Year’s Day morning. We pulled up to the next Whataburger we saw and went in to order. I’ve never been a big fan of Whataburger, so I wasn’t sure what they had. I ordered a honey butter biscuit. It looked good until I went to put it in my mouth and saw a big, black hair. :scared: K took it back to the counter and asked if I could have a biscuit ‘without a hair in it’. He’s not normally so forward. Mama likey… :lovestruc
Once I had a hair-free biscuit, I was impressed with it. It was pretty tasty, really. We finished up and called the MIL to let her know we were on our way to her house. :car:
The kids and I had dropped of the puppy the day before so her dogs and Riley could play. When we pulled up, MIL came out to the suburban and hopped in back.

The trip to the airport was quick and uneventful. I had printed off our boarding passes the day before and we were in boarding group A. We just had to go up to the computers and check-in. The Southwest lady tagged our bags and sent us to take them to a bag thing. I don’t know what it’s called, sorry. I also don’t know when that started. We haven’t flown since K’s grampa died in Nov. 2003, and I don’t remember doing that then. :confused3

K had to smoke before we went through security, so we waited for him (this becomes a theme this trip! ) in Starbucks. I only ordered a small latte since I knew I couldn’t take it through security. Right after I paid, I saw the sign that said there was another one inside the security gates. I would have gotten another, but traveling always makes me a bit queasy, so it was best not to get another.

Security was fast and easy. I’m sure they could tell we never go anywhere as we stood around confused by people taking their shoes off. :upsidedow The kids weren’t happy about it, but would do about anything to get the trip started. We had over an hour to wait in the terminal. Thank goodness for the kids’ area with Happy Feet playing! Even that got old eventually for the kids, though.

Hallelujah for finally getting to board! :cloud9: A had to visit the potty one last time right before we were told to line-up so K took him. I was getting antsy that they weren’t back yet when I looked and saw hubby and A fighting :sad2: (I tend to do batter with A’s fits and K tends to deal with B’s attitude better than I do. We all have our strengths, right?). K was dragging A by the arm, then picked him up while he was kicking. :rotfl2: They hadn’t even gotten to the bathroom yet! So, now, it’s our turn to board and I was not happy that K had the boarding passes. I ended up having to let all the A group board and half of the B group board before K returned. Mama’s getting cranky… :furious:

Whataburger was open,

I never heard of Whataburger is that a Texan thing?

It looked good until I went to put it in my mouth and saw a big, black hair. :scared:

I was confused by this as well in July. The last time I had flown you checked your bags at the desk and they took them then and there.

I think Whataburger is a Texas thing. They even serve jalepenos on your cheeseburger if you want. I don't want.

You'll have to wait and see... :surfweb: :rotfl:
I'm still writing now, so I'll have more to post soon. I'm not one for waiting. I may have my whole TR done by Monday! :lmao:

So, how fast do you want me to finish this TR? give the ol' girl an idea. I know some people drag it out for close to a year *cough* Buzz *cough*, and some people don't. What, like one post a week or two?
I want to hear from you all, all 10 of my readers. :rotfl2: The ol' memory's not what it used to be, so maybe I should start typing this thing out in Word. Geez. :headache: :sad2:

I am impatient so at least 2 a week.....:goodvibes

At least 2x a week, I'm impatient:p
Buzz what day are you on your trippie and you have been home how long?:lmao:

Not even finished day 2 yet:sad2:

I'm half way done with day 2 thank you very much. :snooty: I've been home three months. However, I do post a trippy once or twice per week.

Only 10 1/2 days to go!!!

:sad2:

I'm here ... now changing the name of your TR may be a good start! :goodvibes
I am trying to think of a good name... I have a few ideas. Themes of the trip, if you will.
I am impatient so at least 2 a week.....:goodvibes

Gonna stick up for the smoker here. I completely understand K:goodvibes
It's just SO BORING waiting for him... :guilty:

Welcome back Dawn!!!!
I know how you feel about being at home, but wanting to be in Disney too.

I can't believe you've started the TR already! Wow you're fast! It usually takes me a few days to unwind after getting back from a trip.

Anyhoo, never heard of Whataburger either :confused3 .
Eeeew :scared: on the hair. I think I would've lost my appetite.

Yeah security is weird, don't worry everyone else is always confused too.

Ohhh the smoking. Yes I've toured Disney with smokers before it was what it is now with the smoking. It can get very annoying. :sad2:

Can't wait to read more. popcorn::

Welcome Home! :)

Ew! They probably just turned around and took out the hair, then quickly wiped it clean with saliva. :rolleyes1

. It's amazing how good spit can be.

Oh no! Not another smoker that I have to give a hard time to!

Did you get good seats? Is this is a major cliffhanger? popcorn::

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! I am now announcing my new TR title...

101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW

It's the winner... it was fairly obvious that a picture montage of all the weird things he does to pass the time was called for. So, between posting updates, I thought I'd post pictures of his adventures. I hope you enjoy them. He's certainly a crack-up. :goodvibes

I like it :thumbsup2 Nice and catchy

Woohoo! Where's the pictures? :confused3
I did get losts of pictures, but with being married to a man who's oblivious of where the kids are at times, I had to keep the family from going all different ways, so my food pics are non-existent. I have a lot of my cuties though...

Whatatheheck is Whataburger?

:scared: Don't say that! I just ate dinner. Now I feel funny in my tummy.

Oh no! Not another smoker that I have to give a hard time to!
::yes::

Did you get good seats? Is this is a major cliffhanger? popcorn::

All these questions and more will be answered inthe next episode of.... HSM's TR!

::yes::

I know. I'm exausted, but all these demanding people are so selfish! :rotfl2: Nah, K's home today, so I'm taking some time to myself. With you all. :grouphug:

Anyhoo, never heard of Whataburger either :confused3 .
Eeeew :scared: on the hair. I think I would've lost my appetite.
I did, but I also knew I wouldn't be at the resort until after 3p.m., so I ate.

Yeah security is weird, don't worry everyone else is always confused too.
Oh good. It's not just me. ;)

Ohhh the smoking. Yes I've toured Disney with smokers before it was what it is now with the smoking. It can get very annoying. :sad2:
Especially when all the kids stay with me. :sad2:

Can't wait to read more. popcorn::
Good. I'm glad it's not too boring.

I'm going to catch up on some t.v. on the ol' DVR now. I already have my second installment ready (other than the pics off K's laptop) so, I say I deserve it! :happytv:

You need to learn how to multi-quote better.

Wha? I'm too lazy to do it right. I keep my font, color and size on paste so I can just bust it out. If I highlighted the quote stuff, I'd have to redo it each time. No thanks... :surfweb:

Jo complained too. Big babies. :rotfl2:
