Glad my target has self checkout I hope target is still allowing purchasing a target gift card with a target gift card. If so I'll be buying several $270 target gift cards at Kroger.
Not sure if I'll bite on this this year or not. The last two years, I used the gift cards from this deal to buy T-Mobile prepaid airtime cards online once Target put those on sale - that way I could stack the Target gift card 10%, the T-Mobile airtime sale (usually 5%) and my red card 5%. That gave me a decent discount on my and DD's cell phone service for the year. But now you can't use the Target gift cards to buy the T-Mobile cards online, and in store they are charging a funky state tax on the airtime cards (but don't online) AND they don't give you the red card discount. Bah.
I wish they'd at least do this deal earlier in the season - I'm usually done with my Christmas shopping before December rolls around. And even though I go to Target every week, since they don't give you the red card discount in store when you pay with a gift card, it really only becomes a 5% discount. I'm not sure that's worth giving them my money ahead of time - plus having gift cards in my wallet makes me more prone to buy things I really wasn't planning on buying.

I have no clue either way but I don't count on anything these days I've done this deal the last two years using gift cards purchased at Kroger but everything certainly has changed this year
