I am still deciding about costumes. I really do not want to pack them. Actually, we have not given much thought about what the kids are going to be for Halloween this year and I am not sure if I can pull something together in time. I am going to try for the kids but not the adults. For pirate night, we have pirate Mickey ears we will probably bring.

Anj, I did not get an answer about tour times for the rum distillery. I am having problems on their website as well. I cannot scroll down for some reason to get to more information. When I google it and get reviews from other travel places, it seems the tour lasts about 10-15 minutes with sampling at the end. They also recommend reservations. Does anyone know how long it takes to get to the distillery from the ship? Also, taxi fare to and from the ship?

It's not perfect, but here is our FE. It took me a bit to finish do to my hectic work schedule, but at least it's done and the FE prizes are ready!

Thank you PaigerPoo!! :thanks:

I had a lot of fun coming up with a "pixie dust" feel for our FE, plus I wanted it to feel a bit magical. I had fun finding just the right Fonts (used Minne Mouse and Walt Disney font) heat bond and hot glue were my best friends for this project. I had some extra buttons leftover from a project, and decided to use them for "not-so-hidden" Mickey Heads.

I am so excited that I am going to have trouble concentrating next week at work. At least my toes are painted a nice "tropical" beach color to get me in the mood, hope the color lasts till I can wiggle my toes in pristine sand!

What island and what time are people planning on trying to get a group tour to the Rum Distillery? My DH and I have shore excurions planned for each island as it is our first trip to these islands, but we would like a chance to see the Rum Distillery as well (can't remember which island) but didn't want to book an excursion just for that, so we booked a different excursion.

Look at our countdown timer!! Only 6 days till WDW!!
:yay:

The rum distillery is on St. Croix. I think many of us are leaving our kids on the ship.

Maybe we should put together a list of people wanting to do the rum distillery so we can get each other's cabin numbers and keep each other informed?? I can ogranize the list.

So, if you want to do the "DISers Take the Rum by Storm" adventure, post the names of those in your group wanting to go and your room number(s).
For me:
Jac (me) and Keith (DH), Room 2606

ummmm...YEA we will be there.... i actually waited on a table this morning at work and they recently returned from a 7 day eastern and said they have done the rum tour and that its totally worth it. they said the drink "samples" are VERY good and the rum is a very very reasonable price if you buy it from the distillery!

So far, I have the list started for the rum adventure!!:drinking1

And Paige--after the weekend I've had, I am ready to tear it up on the boat.

I have to figure out a way to buy some rum and get it all the way back to AZ with me. I am so excited for the rum. I think it's great rum day is Tuesday and then St. Thomas is on Wednesday. If DH and I wake up on Weds. with a rum hangover, there will be no worries since we're going to Maagen's Bay. We can definitely nurse a hangover in Maagen's Bay...by sipping more rum!! wha ha ha haha hah ahah:yay:pirate:pirate:

Hello All,

We have been booked for awile but I have only had time to lurk. We have two DD's one 9 and one almost 10. Anyone else have girls around that age. We would like to meet if we are not crashing the party.

Jeanne,
I recognize your signature from many posts I read. You got the great upgrade. Are you going for it again this time??

Andrea

Hi! I have a daughter who will be 9 in November. We've been on 2 Disney Wonder cruises before but have never used the kids' club. She's very suspicious that we're going to try to "dump" her (I know that sounds bad, and I'm not sure why she feels that way. She's an only child that normally gets included in everything we do, and I think that makes her think that it's not normal for her to do activities on her own. It's kind of funny that she's so suspicious!), so if she could meet some buddies, I think that would really help. We're going to visit the kids' club the first night. My daughter's name is Lauren. We have the late dinner seating (another first and I'm not happy) so we'll probably stop by pretty late. If you'd like to meet up earlier, we'll definitely be at the Goofy pool first thing after boarding! Just let me know!

Any idea on what time the Rum Adventure will begin??? Any thoughts???

I'd like to be getting off the boat around 10 am. It's Pirate Night that evening so would like to be back on the ship around 3ish.

Does 10 am work for everyone? We can meet at the Promenade Lounge that AM and then make our way from there?

We'll be seeing you at Maagens Bay the next day! We're planning to check out the butterfly farm and then spend the day at Maagens Bay.

You want to beat the cruise excursions to Maagens Bay. 2 years ago, we got off the ship around 10ish and went directly to Maagens Bay. We were there a couple of hours and there weren't too many people there. But around lunch time, it started to get busier and I think we left around 1. When we left, it was getting super busy.
