10-Oct-2009 - Eastern Magic St. Croix

grlzmom we wish you and the family all the best on your DDs speedy recovery and hope that she will be able to cruise with you all the next time

on another note

as it is 1am after i just got off of work...and i live near orlando on the east coast i can officially say 14 days...TWO WEEKS untill our cruise.....HOOORRRRAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

this deffinately deserves these.....:banana::banana::banana:

Thanks for the kudos on my FE! :hug:I've had a great time getting all this stuff done! Door decore is done as well as SM's...now im left to twiddle my thumbs.....ooooh 12 days to go for us!! :woohoo: The DD was so excited to take ring #13 off our chain calendar this morning!!! (My giddiness was ooozing as well!)
If anyone is still needing magnets for door decore, may I suggest heading to your local scrapbook store:thumbsup2 & getting the Basic Grey Magnetic Discs. They come 20 to a package & although they are just a bit smaller than a dime & not as thick as a penny...these things really hold tight!! Also, you could easily reuse them.
DH is out of the hard cast and is now on antibiotics for what may be an infection in his wrist after having the 6 pins pulled out Monday. :headache:Boy, has he been miserable! Should be all healed up by the time we fly out...im sure that the salt water & pixie dust will have him fixed up in no time!:cheer2:
Grlzmom, my prayers go out to you & your family!

Im certain theres many of you that feel as I do.....Im soo ready for someone else to make me dinner, do the dishes, watch my kids & turn down my bed!!!

Yay! I was telling my family at dinner tonight, that in 2 weeks from that exact time we'd be touching down in Florida (we arrive friday night)!

Thanks for the magnet tip, I will go to a craft store tomorrow and see what they have as I have no door magnets at all (yet). I need to get new sunglasses too, as DD2 broke my fav. pair yesterday.

Just wondering, how many swimsuits are you (you as in the general group) packing?

Thanks for the magnet tip, so sorry about DH and the wrist. Pixie dust to you that he will be healed and ready to enjoy the cruise.

My kids take about 3 or 4 suits each as they are in and out of the suits multiple times per day and don't like wearing wet ones.

For adults we are fine with 2.

We pack light with all seven of us in about 3 suitcases and a garment bag. I am guessing if I need pack Halloween costumes for the kids maybe another bag, ugh :(

My personal tip is CHEAP sunglasses as we have met the demise of several nice pairs on the ship from either losing, stepping on them or who knows where they went. I take the girls to the mall and buy the fake designer ones for five bucks a pair and leave the good ones at home.

For those who haven't cruised, couple of my dds are sensitive to the water in the pools on board and need goggles. DCL only allows those speedo type goggles in the pools, you cannot wear the mask version (unless this has changed). We buy the speedo type ahead of time and take them as they are much cheaper than paying the 9-15 dollars on board once you realized you forgot again :) Targets here have them on clearance this time of year very nice ones for about 5 bucks.

My dh doesn't fly home til the night before so I am on my own to get ready for the trip and recup the kiddo :) The time will fly.

Happy two weeks to the cruise to everyone. Off to take care of Dd.

2 weeks or 14 days to go to the Magic :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

13 days to go until we leave for MCO Hyatt :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

9 working days to go to the Magic :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

I'll officially answer regarding the food and wine. We'd love to join in, but we don't get to FL until 10 pm Friday night.

It'll only be 7 pm for us, so we're going to try and get something to eat, but since we want to be up early, we're going to get something quick and put the girls to bed.

You guys are close to the Magic :)

I'm not sure what we are doing pre cruise. Will be doing something that day since I need make the airport run anyhow but thinking my teens want to do Hollywood Horror Nights, ugh. I would rather Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween with the little ones :)

We have a dental appt that morning but probably gonna get there like 10:30. Anyone else thinking to be there around then?

We will be at the terminal early. DH says the sooner we get on the ship, the better.

Im certain theres many of you that feel as I do.....Im soo ready for someone else to make me dinner, do the dishes, watch my kids & turn down my bed!!!

Totally ready. Love the idea of not having to plan "what's for dinner?" for a week!!! :woohoo:

My family is doing MNSSHP the night before the cruise. We have never, ever been to Disney World. Well, at least DD and I haven't been. DH went when he was a little boy and DS went with my parents one year when he was about 3.

We are leaving our house at 8:30am to get to the port around 9:30-10am. So we'll be there early. Just look for the "I'm on a Boat" shirt, LOL.

If anyone is gonna be around the week before, we're at Disney's back door and would love to say hi. We just hit a huge Disney sale the other day and we are officially done with Secret Mickey and FE gifts. Now I just have to figure out how to pack everything. Wish me luck!

This will be us in two weeks as the Magic leaves PC today.

Hi everyone ... I just realized that I would have been sailing with all of you in two weeks. Just wanted to wish you all a great cruise! Have a fantastic time. I will be thinking of you!

I can finally start some real planning. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law left today after being here for 10 days. It was a great visit but I felt I could not do anything just for me like getting ready for the trip. It is going to be a crazy and busy 12 days until we leave. My husband is gone for work until the 7th and we are leaving EARLY on the 9th.

I am going to get out all our clothes tomorrow (today) to find out exactly what we still need. We will probably bring at least 4 bathing suits each. They do not take up too much room. Thanks for the tips about the goggles. I would have probably forgotten ours. My daughter is sensitive too.

Meredith

I'm going to try and lay out the clothes tomorrow too. DD1 is still wearing her summer clothes, but DD2 refuses to wear shorts anymore. So I can start to pack DD2 and DD3's things.

Meredith71, did you ever get an answer about tour times at Cruzan Rum?

At the port- Im aiming for 7am with my face pressed against the glass saying "OPEN...OPEN...OPEN"...but in all honesty, we'll see you all there by 10am.
Bathing suits- DD & Me are bringin 3, DH & DS 2 pairs of trunks.
Food & Wine- We're hanging with the Mouse at MK the night before the cruise. We'll be at Epcott the day after we get back...hope they save me some wine!
Costumes- Me, DS & DH are Pirates all the way! We may spooky it up a bit. DD will be Cinderella for MNSSHP, a mini Paigerpoo Pirate on the ship and im bringing her Minnie Costume just because I can fit it in!
I decided to make us some shirts today. Havnt picked the color yet, but this site has some GREAT GRAPHICS!:3dglasses
Meredith, like you, my DH leaves for work on the 2nd & is meeting us at the airport to catch our flight to Orlando on the 8th. I get to get him all packed..teeheehee! Could be interesting!
Decided to ship a box down on Monday...my brother lives in Kissamee. Ought to lighten the load.
NOW WE"RE MOVIN!!!!!!:wizard:
