10-Oct-2009 - Eastern Magic St. Croix

Thought I would drop ya'll a line to let you know we didn't get blown away by Fay yesterday.:cool1:  In fact we only got just a slight breeze and a little rain out od the whole ordeal.:worship:

Well, I better get back to work. The ol' boss is looking at me weird again. He can't expect me to work ALL day long................can he?!?!?!!

Talk to you all again real soon!!!:yay:

I listened to our weather report last night after I got home from work. The ol' weatherman said that the drought index they use to measure drought conditions across the nation showed that Florida is now out of the drought we were in. Uhhhhhhhhhhh..............ya think!!!!!!!! Because of Fay we probably have gotten all of the rain we need for the year in just 1 week!!!!! She really dumped the rain on us.

Haven't seen much activity on here lately. Hope everyone is OK. I still haven't been able to get over and read Mary's blog of her Panama crossing. Going to have to do that this week-end. All take care and keep thinking those Disney thoughts and having those Disney dreams. Talk to ya'll again soon.:yay:

Hi David,
Glad to hear you all are safe and sound...:)
I guess the rain is a positive...in its own crazy way.

Haven't been on the boards much either.... its school/football season that = no time for mommy...lol.

Hope everyone is enjoying the the last few weeks of summer...:flower3:

I've been in Hawaii for the last few weeks. The return to the real world was not nice....

Hi David! I'm glad to hear that you made it through Fay with little damage and just lots of water! We were keeping an eye on it as our relatives live on the west shore of Florida in a place called Brazelton (I think that is the name).

Tell that ole boss of yours to lighten up! You get a break at work!:rotfl: As far as your honey do's.......your on your own Mister! I appreciate you just for doing your honey do's! My DH leaves them be until I get so sick of it that I do them myself!

I've been in Hawaii for the last few weeks. The return to the real world was not nice....

So how was your trip, Val? Where did you go? We've never been to Hawaii and would love to go-someday!:cloud9:

MJ-I was glad to see that your mom made it home! I hope you are having a great trip!

Christa-bless your heart with all that football! This is our second try at football with pads. The first try didn't go so well. DS had a horrible injury when he was 12. He starts high school tomorrow and decided early in the summer that he wanted to play again for his high school. Who am I to be a mom and let my worry stop him! He is having a ball and I am getting sunburned watching him! I still don't know a thing about it! QB, receiver, center, and safety (because Aus plays safety and receiver!). You must be a pro at all of this! I've always been a baseball mom, but I guess times are changing!

Haven't been on the boards much with as busy as we have been. DH was out of town on business for 10 days and then took our older son antelope hunting for 10 days. That left me home with Aus and the critters. Made for lots of laundry and lots of car pooling for football rides!

I hope everyone else is enjoying the end of summer! It's been really hot here in Northern Nevada! 98 today:cool2: :cool2:

We're coming up on our 13 month mark! Woo Hoo! Time flies when you are impatiently waiting! popcorn::

We do love our football up this way..lol The boys also play baseball but its more of a "somethng" to do in the summer for them.

I think its great that your DS wants to play after having a bad injury that really says alot about him...:thumbsup2

Just a quick hello from the Panama Canal !!! Hope you are all well!

HI...MJ..:yay: Hope you are having a wonderful time..:flower3:

Hi Folks! Checking in. Really looking forward to this 3 day weekend. 3 day weekends in Phoenix make the city like a ghost town - a lot of people escape the heat and leave town. It's great for those of us who stay - no waits at restaurants and no traffic!! :yay: Have a safe weekend!

JDBliar - where in Chandler are you? We are at Lindsay and Riggs. We plan to stay here but I am already wondering why we didn't plan a Disneyland trip!!

Pretty close to you. We're at McQueen and Pecos! :thumbsup2 Disneyland will be packed this weekend. You were smart to stay here. We're going to Disneyland in October for Fall break! Can't wait to see the Land decorated for Halloween. DD cannot wait to ride the new Toy Story ride. She is the biggest Toy Story fan!

That is the BEST ride! In our two-day visit, we rode that three times, and it was such a lot of fun!

Well thanks for all of the well wishes from ya'll. Yep we did need the rain....... not all in the same day though!!!!!! Tinkerbellmom, is the name of the city your relatives live in Bradenton? We live on the west coast of sunny??:cool2: Florida too. We live about 25 miles west of Tampa. It's a small town called New Port Richey.:cool1: We like it.

That ol' boss of mine ain't as bad as I make him out to be.:scared1: Who am I kidding..................he;s every bit as bad as I make him out to be. That's the look on his face all day long:mad: Sometimes he looks like this::headache: or this:sad2: Rarely, and I mean very rarely he looks like thisprincess: or this:cutie: Those days are very, very, very rare in deed!!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Denverval, sorry to hear of your adjustment problem with the real world. I'm sure I would be feeling the same after coming back from Hawaii. Never been there, hope to make it some day though.
Hey Mary glad to hear from you. When you get bqck we all want to hear all about your repo cruise. Pics, movies whatever you can share.
Well it is the 2nd day of the Labor Day week-end. Got to go out and power wash the pool area and house today. I've been saving this fun chore for about 6 months now. I'm sooooooooooooo excited:yay: :cool1:
Everyone have a fun and safe holiday. Talk to you again soon.:wave2:

Hi David,

Yes, you are right- Bradenton is where they live!

I understand about your boss! I have 48 little bosses who range in temperment and emotion day to day as well! :lmao:

I looked at my countdown ticker and tomorrow will be 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and 1 day! Woo Hoo! The little things that make me happy!

Have a terrific day!

We were there on opening day - it was so crowded!! We go on the Disney cruise ever fall break but plan to do a weekend trip for the Halloween party in the Land as well! How old is your DD? Mine is 7.

That is the BEST ride! In our two-day visit, we rode that three times, and it was such a lot of fun!

When were you at Disneyland? How was the wait for the ride? We have to ride Buzz Lightyear multiple times when we visit so I have no doubt we'll be on the Toy Story ride multiple times. DS, DH and DD just love the Buzz ride, I keep telling them they're in for a treat with Toy Story!

We were there in mid-July. The wait was posted at about 40 minutes each time, but we were with friends and were visiting, and the line continually moved. It's also covered, so it didn't feel too hot. I love this ride sooooooooooooooo much more than Buzz Lightyear!! (I'm terrible at Buzz, I can't tell where I'm shooting) I don't want to spoil the fun - it's worth the wait! It's over by California Screamin'.

Thanks for the location!! I need to really figure out the plan of attack so we can get that one done ASAP!!! I'm excited after reading your review. I've watched YouTube videos of it with DD! It looks like a lot of fun!

Anyone else out there???

Hello!

We've just returned from the East Bound Panama Canal Repo and the sailing we rebooked for is this one! Over the next few months we look forward to getting to know everyone here!

And just to be up front... we did NOT rebook this date as a dummy date. We saw this sailing as having the right cost scructure (cheaper than other dates) and fitting our limited 2009 calandar of open dates to travel.

Just a quick hello from the Panama Canal !!! Hope you are all well!

So... who else here was on our PC sailing? Anyone besides MJGirl and Winotracy? We had 192 DIS cabins on that sailings' roster... however, there were a few more DIS folks who were not listed on the published roster.
:confused3

Can I just say how glad I am my DH doesn't like football? ;) I have to endure DS's constant college football rambling. :headache: More power to you, Christa!! Congrats on the tickets. I imagine he was thrilled to pieces to find out about it. Tell him to enjoy this birthday, next birthday he'll be sailing and Lord knows what we'll cook up for him that day!!

My dear spouse and best friend of 24 years has often cited how she counts herself lucky I'm NOT one of those spouses who are extreme Football (or sports fans. Of course, I do have my private passions and interests... it's just that I don't count most pro sports as among my primary interests.

On the other hand ... I do enjoy WATCHING a good football game every now and then!

My DD will be 5 in mid-October. She is such a huge Toy Story fan. In fact, tonight, we went to the Disney Store and bought her the Buzz Lightyear Halloween costume. She looks so cute in it!! She wanted to keep it on after we tried it on her and I told her she couldn't or she'd ruin it and then have to be a Princess for Halloween, instead. She said, "No!!!!" DS doesn't think I should encourage her to be a tomboy but I don't think she's a tomboy! :confused3 She likes what she likes and she love Buzz Lightyear.
