10 Days Of Glorious Disney Dining! Lots Of Pics!~Complete!

Love, love, love your reviews!!! Thank you for the detail and the excellent pictures. I am super-excited for our trip...November cannot get here fast enough!! Thanks for transporting me to the Happiest Place on Earth!!

Oh wow. This thread is making me so hungry. Subbing!

Glad you're joining in :goodvibes

I really hope I can do this when we go in March I only book 'Ohana for that bread pudding YUM!

It's worth a shot! I'm so glad I finally asked! I will probably ask everytime from now on.

I'm enjoying your review. We love Kona much more than Ohana. I think Terriyaki steak is great and also love Tuna Oscar. But I didn't know you could get Ohana's bread pudding at Kona. We learn something new everyday, don't we? If I could pluck up the courage, I would ask for it also!

Gotta love the DISboards! I would have never even thought to ask, but I saw someone else pose the question on here wondering if it could be done. And now I know :thumbsup2

Your last post may or may not have made me drool just the tiniest little bit. :upsidedow

 Looking back at these pictures is giving me that same problem. I miss Disney food!

Your reviews are making me miss Disney a lot! I am a huge pineapple float fan. Your Kona review is making me seriously consider reworking our ADR's for our next trip. We've only done Kona for lunch but the tuna and the chance to get the Ohana bread pudding make dinner very appealing.

Thank you for all of the reviews! :)

I'm not sure I could ever do Kona lunch again now that I know the possibility of bread pudding exists at dinner :rotfl: Thank you so much for the positive comments :goodvibes

Special ordered bread pudding? Excellent example of the Disney magic we all know and love. :)

Exactly :thumbsup2 And that is why we come here every year for vacation and all other destinations run a distant second

I really can't wait to try FlameTree this time. I have been loving BBQ lately. It is a phase I am going through, BBQ and jalapenos. LOL

I love BBQ too! I wish we had a great BBQ place near us, but not such luck

Aww thanks so much :goodvibes Hope you have a very magical vacation filled with lots of yummy food!

Love your reviews and the pictures have my stomach rumbling!! (and I just ate lunch)!! You reviewed some places we have ADRs and also CS I want to try so I am super interested!

I really wanted a treat from the bakery in Norway, but I was too full. This happened to me every time I wanted a bakery treat while we were at Epcot. I never get to the bakeries in Norway or France because I've already eaten too much by the time I get there! Oh well. Next year.

This happened to us on our last trip so we ended up hitting the bakery in France and taking a to go box of goodies. We ate them for breakfast the next morning. (I may be guilty of sneaking a bite or two of my napolean before bed! :rotfl:)

joining in here....I am salivating and can not wait til our next trip to the world!

Great reviews!! Seems like EOS is such a good thing to bring back & eat @ the hotel. Just sounds nice to be in a WDW resort w/ a sandwich. LOL!!!!:goodvibes

I see that your trip is only 4 days away! Exciting!

Yum! The Napolean is what I really wanted too! I have a weakness for those darn things!

Thanks for joining in! I see from your ticker that you're going on the cruise! I have been trying to talk DH into giving it a try, but he's hesitant for some reason. I'll wear him down soon enough :rotfl:

EOS worked out very nicely that way. And you're right, that does sound good right now! Beats being stuck at work all day!

After our lunch at Yak & Yeti we walked around the park for a few more hours and as we were walking through the Maharajah Jungle Trek we got exciting news! We got a picture message and a phone call from DH's brother. He is expecting a baby with his girlfriend this winter and they found out the sex of the baby today. It's a girl! I'm gonna have a niece! Sooooo excited! I have already started buying up every Disney princess thing I can find! Sorry, off topic, but I'm excited and felt the need to share:goodvibes

Anyway, back to the food. So, back in the beginning of August I read a Disney Parks Blog that showed a special cupcake they were going to be carrying starting this month. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, so we made a special stop at Kusafiri Bakery on our way out of the park.

How cute is this?! It is a Cotton-Top Tamarin Cupcake! The face is made out of white and dark chocolate and was on a stick, kind of like a lollypop, which you could take out of the cupcake and eat separatly. The cupcake was dark chocolate cake with butter cream frosting. It was so rich and decadent and absolutly delicious. Worth every single calorie

DH surprised me and went for a bakery treat too. He usually doesn't partake when I stop to indulge in sugar. He got the Brownie Paw.

This was pretty similar to mine, so I didn't try any of it, but DH really enjoyed it. Like I said before, he's not a big sweets eater, so it must have been good because he mentioned liking it a few times during the trip. I think the buttercream frosting on the top really sealed the deal for him. :thumbsup2

Now let me leave you with one more pic from the afternoon. After we got back to the hotel we hit the pool and DH got the Grand Margarita which was Jose Cuervo tradicional tequila, grand marnier, lime juice, and sweet and sour.

Sitting by the pool with a margarita. Wish I was there right now!

Up next... Our first trip to Wolfgang Puck Express! We didn't know what we have been missing!

Great reviews!! Seems like EOS is such a good thing to bring back & eat @ the hotel. Just sounds nice to be in a WDW resort w/ a sandwich. LOL!!!!:goodvibes

Our last day is always spent taking one last ride on our favorites and then heading to DTD. Lunch at WPE and then we grab EOS to go and we eat it at the airport while we are waiting for the plane. I got the Cannonball and it was still delicious 2 hours later:cloud9:

I am LOVING your review and the pictures!!! Thanks for sharing...I'm patiently waiting for more!!! :goodvibes

Subbing: Love your reviews! I'm second guessing my ressie for O'hana... maybe i should cancel and add Kona instead? Better yet, i should add an extra day to the trip and do both

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Your review is awesome!!!!!!! Lots of details and pics.!:goodvibes I want to try Earl Sandwich, they look yummy! We went there in 07 and did not like it but I think we will give it another try. Also will try Yak ans Yeti because of your pic! Flametree is on my list too!

Hi I subbed to your TR a few days ago and have been loving every minute of it. I about died looking at that bread pudding. OMG I'm salivating like pavlov's dog!!! I cant wait we have ressies at Ohana on day 6 of our trip. That beautiful picture you posted will be in my head the whole time. I think I want to skip dinner and go straight for the desert. Also that cupcake looked soooo yummy. :upsidedow:upsidedow

I love your review of Yak and Yeti CS. I was wondering about that place and food. I think we definitely need to stop by Kasufari Bakery. The cupcake looks so yummy!

That's a really good idea! I'll have to do that the next time we fly out of Orlando.

I am LOVING your review and the pictures!!! Thanks for sharing...I'm patiently waiting for more!!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much :goodvibes I was just looking at your ticker and it looks like I'll be leaving my Christmas trip as you are arriving. I am super excited for my first trip at Christmas time! Hope you have a great vacation!

:lmao: I love the way you think! Adding an extra day sounds logical to me :lmao:

Flame Tree was definitely one of my favorite counter service meals ever! I can't believe it took me so long to try it. I can't wait to try EOS again myself. Whenever I've been disappointed with a place in Disney it usually takes me a few years to give it a second chance, but I always tend to like it better the second time around.

Thanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying my reviews! :goodvibes I think the next time we go to 'Ohana I'll have to try asking for the dessert first myself. I'd rather be too full for the meat then too full for that delicious bread pudding :lmao:

Kusafiri was great! I really want to try some of the other things they have to offer. Also, they have different pasteries at breakfast then they do at lunch. I tried to get that cupcake in the morning and they didn't have it until after 11am I believe.

After a relaxing float around the pool we got ready and headed to DTD for dinner and a movie. For some reason I never gave Wolfgang Puck Express a moment's thought as being a great place to eat at WDW. After I started seeing all the reviews and pictures on this board over the last couple of years I knew we had to give it a try this trip.

We arrived at WPE at Marketplace around 6pm and fortunatly it wasn't too busy.

Here is the menu outside the entrance
P1030631.jpg

Now first off let me tell you that DH fought me hard on this restaurant. We had an awful experience at WPC last trip and he didn't like a lot of things on the menu there. For some reason he thought that WPE was gonna have a lot of sushi and seafood (which he hates) on the menu, even though I kept assuring him it was gonna be awesome. When we got there and he saw this menu he was thrilled! Now he was having a problem deciding between all the things he wanted! They had a lot more here than what was listed online. I already knew what I wanted before we got there. Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf!

Now if you haven't already been here let me tell you how it works. When you walk in you head over to the cashier and place your order and pay for your food or use your dining plan. This is a counter service credit on the dining plan in case you didn't already know. Then they give you a number to place on your table and you go find a seat. There is seating indoors and outdoors. The indoor seating in kinda limited, but we managed to find a table. You don't have a typical waiter like you would at another restaurant, but there is someone there to bring out your food when it's ready and bring you silverware and refill your drink for you. Well, that does sound like a typical waiter actually. :rotfl:

It didn't take too long for our food to come out. Now here it is. The Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf!
P1030627.jpg

:lovestruc Yum! They used to have this at the Cafe but on our last trip it was no longer on the menu and I was very disappointed because I have had this before and loved it. Well, I loved it even more this time because it was a counter service credit! So you're telling me I can have a so-so cheeseburger from Cosmic Ray's or I can have this? I know where I coming to use up my CS credits! Along with the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf the dish also contains mashed potatoes, port wine sauce and crispy onion rings.

We decided to make it a meatloaf evening all around cause DH got the Meatloaf Sandwich!

Here's a blurry pic of the inside of the sandwich
P1030630.jpg

DH loved this! I had a bite and it was pretty amazing! I may have snuck a few fries off his plate as well. :rolleyes1 They were pretty darn good too. The sandwich had provolone, bacon, tomato chutney, horseradish cream and crispy onions on it. Drool!

For dessert we both had the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake
P1030628.jpg

This was DELICIOUS!!! It was sooooo creamy and the top was just like the top of creme brulee. AMAZING!!! And we haven't eaten here before, why? The total of our meal was just over $47. It doesn't even cost us that much to eat at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and that's a TS credit! If you're on the dining plan (or even if you're not) this is the place to go!

Up next... Yummy Epcot Food!

WPE is our favorite CS. We usually go at least 2 times if not 3 during our week long stay. We really don't like what DHS offers for CS so we usually snack and go to WPE for late lunch. They have great food and it's a value for meal plan.

I gotta get myself to WPE and get me some Meatloaf!!:woohoo::woohoo:

I can't believe that is a counter service credit!

Great photos!:thumbsup2

I went to WPE during my trip as well and I LOVED it!! I thought that it was even better than a few of our TS meals! I would highly recommend to anyone that would like to try some great counter service. Glad you loved it too!
