10 Days of Disney Dining – TS, CS, & Snacks – LOTS of Photos! COMPLETE THROUGH DAY 10

On the morning of day 10, we had 6 counter service and 6 snack credits remaining.
This happened to us too. (4 CS & 3 snacks on a 5 day trip) On a couple of late nights we used snack credits or paid OOP for "stuff"....in retrospect (& in planning for our trip in March), I think I'm gonna use a CS or two on late nights & "treat" the family to some of the neat CS options.

While we were in the lobby at Pop, a cast member came up to DD7 and told her she had been chosen to be “Pop Star of the Day”. party:

She had her hand traced in chalk and her name written down as Pop Star of the Day.
:cool2: That is very cool !!

We headed to Magic Kingdom and stopped at Main Street Bakery again – we got an almond bear claw, a rocky road brownie, & 2 french toast loaves (as well as 2 bottled drinks) to go. We snacked on these throughout the day and even had some for breakfast at home the next day! Great way to burn 2 CS credits (2 items plus a drink for each credit)!!

Cost – 2 CS credits = $16.76
Great Info. :thumbsup2

We were standing in line getting ready to order when a cast member came up and told us we had been selected as “Cosmic Ray’s Family of the Day”. We placed our order and were escorted to our special table directly in front of Sonny Eclipse:
No way???!!! pixiedust: You guys rock !! :cool1:

On our way out of Magic Kingdom, we had to stop and use our last 2 snack credits on our favorite treats – 2 Dole Whip Floats. FABULOUS!!!
You got that right !!! Best way to start the trip & end the trip is with a Dole Whip Float. :thumbsup2

Thanks again K&L Mom for this most informative DDP trippie. :worship:

thanks so much for taking the time to do such detailed reviews! I really enjoyed reading and am so sad it's over. I definitely will be eating at Kona next trip :thumbsup2

Thank you for the best dining review I have ever read on this site! We are dining at many of the same places you ate during our trip in January and we are very excited now. A few places, WCC and Kona, are new for us and we picked them just based on the menus alone. After reading through all of this, I am so happy we did pick them!

Also, you gave some wonderful tips on how to use CS and Snack credits. I have taken notes and will report back after our trip on whethere we are as successful with the DDP as you were :cheer2:

Thanks again for your thorough reviews!

:wave2:

Really great reports, we are going with free dining for 14 nights in August so you've given me loads of ideas. I had decided on Coral Reef but may now change. I love the snack ideas especially the make your own at DTD. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for your review, I loved it. Of course, you are now making me reconsider one of my choices. I have never been completely sold on Ohanas. I know some people love it but we are not really "all you can eat" type people and we love seafood. In addition, we are staying at Old Key West which is a boat ride from Downtown Disney. So, having read your review of Captain Jacks, I am now thinking I should ditch Ohanas for Captain Jacks (my kids would not be real interested in the races or other activities at Ohanas). Any thoughts on this? Our other dinners are: Coral Reef (don't flame, my son picked it so we're going to stick with it), Le Cellier (everyone loves steak and then we can watch Illuminations), Chef Mickey (for the 4 year old) and Boma (we've never been to Animal Kingdom and I thought it would be an experience). Having been to both, which would you choose if you could only do one, Captain Jacks or Ohana? THanks.

I would say if you're not "all you can eat type people" and the kids aren't interested in the activities, then Captain Jack's would be your best choice - definitely if you are a seafood lover. The only seafood at 'OHana is peel and eat shrimp. I love both places so you really can't go wrong with either one, but if I had to pick I would probably choose Captain Jack's. It is also a better "value" for your dining plan credits if you're on the DDP.

I have been to Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's on prior trips and they are both good choices (although I would pick Liberty Tree Tavern over Chef Mickey's). I have never been to Boma - we plan on trying this in January for breakfast as we have never been to AKL either. The dinner selections just don't appeal to us - we're not that adventurous!

Have fun on your trip and I'm glad you enjoyed my report!!

That was an AMAZING reveiw! I loved all the pictures and all the details.. thanks for some great tips to keep in mind on my upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

That was fun!!! Thanks for taking the time to do it. You've given me a lot of good ideas for where we can dine with our 7 year old.

I really enjoyed your reviews! BTW, you have a lovely family!!

19 days and counting to our first ever family trip to WDW!!!

I'm new here and I just wanted to say thanks for the great dining report. I learned alot and am looking forward to using the info for my trip in February!

Thanks for the great report. I really enjoyed it! After making all of my ADR's almost 6 months ago, I am feeling I need to rearange a few. We currently have CRT for Lunch, but I am thinking of attemping to move it to Askerhaus for breakfast... We have been to CRT for B,L & D (great atmosphere, but food is jsut soso IMHO). We currently do not have any ADR's for BF and we were going to pay OOP for CRT (no need to waste 2 ts). Do you have any opinions on what I should do? I am sure stuck!
