Very cool pics!! But, I'm not showing DH :rolleyes1 It may get ugly

SO Happy to see your pics! I went in 1980, the legs couldn't handle it this year :rotfl: It was SO GREAT! I've been loving the Phils since the '60's when I was a little kid. It's wonderful your DS and DD can go to the games with you and they love it as much as you.

I think I cried for 3 days, and yes, mostly for my grandfather who's not here any more, knowing he would have loved this championship! We even re-watched the parade on 57 yesterday all afternoon. I'm sure your Mom knows all about it - they were all celebrating together with Charlie's Mom, Whitey, Tug and Vuk.

I'm going to send you a pm with a youtube link to a radio guy talking about the win and what it meant to him and his Dad. Very eloquent and made me blubber :sad2:

Have a great day!

Looks like you're having a blast passing the time til Disney gets here.:cheer2:

Congrats on the Phillies win! I was rooting for them. :goodvibes How cool that you got to attend the parade. :cool2:

Did you find out about your airfare and if you'll get the credit?

Hi, Thanks I will have to go watch it.

Looks like you're having a blast passing the time til Disney gets here.:cheer2:
I am getting so excited! Thanksgiving is just aroudn the corner.
Today DD saw the wdw commercial for "what will you celarbraate,. She said see Mom we should go celbrate Kyle's birthday. I said yeah can Mickey send me the money.
Congrats on the Phillies win! I was rooting for them. :goodvibes How cool that you got to attend the parade. :cool2:

I bet you were. Are you still in Maryland? No I wont get a credit. I spoke to them today. :headache:

Hi Everyone,
For some darn reason today I am so overwhelming excited about going to WDW. I don’t know if it is because I took down all the Halloween decorations, and now I can put up thanksgiving ones. I don’t know. But I am bouncing off the walls today. :yay: Maybe it is because I had off today and got extra sleep. Did everyone vote? I hope so. DH and I want after he got home from work tonight. He is painting the computer room. Has anyone ever used Ralph Lauren paint? If you haven’t don’t, it sucks. We bought two gallons of a gray river rock. It looks a bit texture. I did not want to paint the room a dark color, and of course this caught my eye and WHAT A FREAKING MISTAKE. He is on his third coat, and I know tomorrow it will still look streaky. What a mistake. Why didn’t I just get a gray color.:headache:  :scared:
He did a google search and there is so many complaints about this paint. Why home depot sells it still is unreal. My computer room will never be done. Poor DH has been working on this room for a year now. Everything has set it back from getting done. We wanted to just get this done, and be done. This room has been put on the back burner ever time something else comes along. My niece is having my great niece’s 2nd birthday party here on Saturday. Lord help me. Everything from the room is ever in the family room or the spare room that DH built in a quickie last year, when my niece came to live with us. Her apartment is just too small for the family. I am going to need caution tape so no one opens any doors if this doesn’t get done.
So back to DISNEY. I called Disney Travel Company today. No luck getting the air fare credit back. They gave me some hoop li. But I did cancel the dinning plan. It took forever. They put me on holed and when the CM came back the price she gave me seemed a bit high. Being on hold was not bad, they were playing music from spectro magic. I called back and here the trip ins. was on there twice. Luckily I called back. I am going to call tomorrow when I get home and see if I can get Kona for New Year’s dinner, instead of Capt. Jacks.
Keep Coral Reef for DS birthday and then we will also still eat at Chef Mickey’s.
Everything else I will cancel and we will eat counter service for the majority of the meals. I figure I will pack one suit case with cereal, crackers, juice bags etc. I think we will be fine. It might be for the best since the parks could be really busy. That time we would have spent sitting down eating could be time spent waiting in line for I don’t know SOARIN!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

53 days! I received magical mail today, and had to lie.
DD was at the door when the mailman came, and of course right on top was mail from WDW Travel Company. “Mom you got Mickey mail". I was like OMG NO! So I just grab it all and put it in a draw. My Niece had my great niece’s party here today, so we were in the mist of preparing for that. When I did opened it a little will ago, I told her friend Emily to tell her mom that I just got mail from WDW travel and there is a great deal out if her mom is still thinking about going. DD said "oh is that what the Mickey mail was".
"I said yeah that was all.":rotfl2: I am so bad.

The party went well, even with the bad weather. I have to vacuum still. I cleaned all last night, why I don’t know. I should not have mopped the floors, but I did. Now I will have to just do them again. It was a bit rough; this was the first family party at my house that my Mom was not here with us. No need to make a pot of coffee. I miss my Mom so much. It is just the little things, like making a pot of coffee. :sad1:

I started to pack something’s. I had received some free tide samples so I packed those. I put some fabric sheets in a baggie, and cut up some Palmolive dish soap cloths to clean out the refillable mugs in the room. I am not one to wash clothes on Disney trips, but I did on our last trip because we drove. I did not want the car to smell. This year we are flying, and I worry we will be trying to even out the weight in the luggage. I can’t really pack many clothes till the trip gets closer. I don’t want to over pack, but the weather is so unpredictable they say in January.

Posting these here, because I have to get them off of my computer.

Pam, I know it's sort-of old news, but I just have to ask - is this for real? I have heard him referred to as Pat the "bait" because the girls all flock to him. This is truly awesome!

Oh yes dear. I dont know if he still looks like this after all those philly cheese steaks! But I have had the picture on my computer for a long time. He is married now.:confused3 Se has nothing on me.:lmao: Oh wait I am married, like my DS tells me. He is so hot though. I have never heard hime called that. Pat the bat have heard.
We have a lot of hotties on the phillies now. I think we have the best looking team.

Yiiipppppeeee!!:cheer2: You got your packet!! That makes it so real! We have 55 days from today and I'd love to see my packet!! Of course, I just changed our whole trip to take advantage of the new deal. It may be a little longer for me.

That was a great save about the packet! Do you think your kids have any idea?

I'm resisting the urge to pack! Every other trip I've started by now but then I unpack and repack like 100 times. We'll see how long will power takes me!

Hi, No it was not my packet just yet. It was just a welcoming packet.
That wont come till after I pay in full. Which is next week. I belive it should come around the 30 day mark. This just had with info on our resort, parks etc. But I hope my little white lie worked.
GEEZ I hope it comes on a week day, not a weekend. What would I tell DD then?
I wish I could change our trip. I thought about it. DS birthday is Jan. 3rd. So I thought if we pay for a room only night, and then the package. BUT I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS! I would be so bummed if they were down by then. Plus, I don’t want to take the kids out of school too many days. DS this year missed one day for a cross-country meet, which was excused by the school. The next day he did homework for three hours. It is really a big homework year for him. I just think they should give everyone a gift card for booking after the holidays. :confused3
I am really getting excited about the trip. I am hoping it will be warm down there in Jan. But I am thinking of packing gloves just to be safe. My hands are always cold. What airline are you using? We have not flown in three years, so all the luggage weight, what you can carry on is all new to us.
We are flying airtranways for the first time.
Any advice I can get from anyone on how to pack better would be great.
I use to have space bags someone gave us, but I could never get them to work. So I threw them away.I thought about buying them again.

Ok, I must have many lurkers here.
Welcome lurkers come say hi! :welcome:

I went in January a couple of times and had to pack for both warm and cold. It was chilly in the morning and warm in the middle of the day. We swam once the whole week. I would wear a tank or short sleeve top and capri pants and was fine. Some mornings I had a sweat jacket on. At night, my son had on a sweat suit. One night, during EMH, he had on a sweat suit and had a blanket over him in the stroller (he was 5 or 6 then). But that's because we were there until almost midnight. Didn't see anyone wearing gloves. It was really nice because the cooler temps had people in a better mood. No craziness from the heat. I love it! We enjoy the first week of Feb now; works better for our schedule. Unfortunately, this next trip will be in May. Not my first choice, but better than the dreaded summer heat. :headache:

Hi thanks for the info. on the weather.
I am going to pack sweat shirts for everyone. I have to get DH a new one, his is too old looking for WDW.:rotfl: He wears in to work in the yard, etc.
We all most always open the park and stay to close it. I have to found out were the lockers are in each park, just case we get hot and don’t want to carry them around in the park. I don’t think I could do the Aug. heat again myself. It was too much, and like you said people were just not in a magical mood. Are you able to take advantage of the 4 day 3 free deal? I wish I could change our dates, to save some money.
Thanks for stopping in!

I called WDW dinning last night, will the Eagles were playing. There were winning at the time. They lost of course. I have been hearing it from the giant fan I work with all day.:snooty: I tried to change my Kona ADR to NYE, but they had nothing!! Not even a late night dinner. I tried for Chef Mickey’s and nothing. So I still cancelled the Captain Jacks ADR. We need a ADR out of a park I explained to her, because we are not doing a park that day. She recommended maybe RFC. I did not think you could get and ADR for there. I told her I would call back later after I thought some more. SO I want on allears.net today, and figured we could eat at beaches and cream, since we have always wanted to get the kitchen sink. Hopefully it wont be to busy.
