10, 9, 8, 7…Partying with the mouse NYE 2009! Home and working on a TR.

Hello, YES! I do!
Looks like we might not try Tonys anyway.

I don't have any news on Tony's but, the CP was great. We loved it...we went for lunch.
Don't you love seeing your countdown get smaller??? I just signed onto the boards and noticed a news story for NYE. I'm starting to notice Christmas merchandise in the mall. I was in the drugstore today and noticed the Christmas wrap...we're getting closer to the Christmas season!!! I feel a little strange being there already...playing Christmas music when I'm home by myself...can't wait for the rest of the world to catch up.

I cant wait. I have dreamed about this for years.

Pam!! I made it! Sounds great so far..I wish I could see the Christmas decorations, but Ill just miss them by a few weeks.

You really need and deserve this trip. :)
Thanks, they sure are!
Pam, your dogs are adorable . I love Jewel's sweet face and of course Thor with that huge, Rottie grin. Rescue pets are the BEST pets :goodvibes .

I've never eaten at Tony's but I'd suggest that you keep the reservations & find out for yourself. One of the things that I noticed while on our trip was that tastes & reviews are all subjective and what some people may rave over (or complain about) won't be the same for everyone. You won't know for yourself unless you try it for yourself. And Tony's is a place that you had wanted to try, so by all means you should!

For instance- I heard nothing but raves over how divine the filled crepes in France were so of course I was dying to try them. They were bleah, rubbery and uninspired. Maybe I just got them on an off day? But that was my experience...it doesn't mean that the crepes are icky but mine sure was.

I'm still around, just not as active as I use to be. With no trips planned, Disney hasn't been big on my mind (or I'm trying to tell myself that). Chuck is in the process of getting orders for his next duty station and we're looking at possibly going to Washington State. Once we know for sure I'll begin planning a trip to Disneyland. :goodvibes

I love driving, but I understand wanting to fly to give yourself a bit more time at the parks.

We've never eaten at Tony's, but just wanted to say that I'd love to do HDD again. You know how much we enjoyed it too.

Hope you're feeling better!
Thanks!:goodvibes
Great Report so far. I'm also going around your time at NYE. I've eaten at Tony's. 3 years ago, I said I'd never go there again, a year later it was good. I haven't been since the referb last January. We were supposed to eat there on 12/30, but switched out for Crystal Palace breakfast. It's a very standard Italian restaurant. Looking at your adrs we have a lot of the same ones just on different days. Hope you have a great trip.

:welcome: Hi, thanks for joining. How great. What are your dates, where are you staying?

Hi! I was a lurker on your last TR and I am definitely on board for this one.

BTW, if you're looking for MK dining ideas, we are planning on eating at CRT for lunch on our next trip. It will be our first time and I can't wait! Also, you might want to consider the Plaza.

Have fun planning your trip...and I understand your loss.

I look forward to your TR. :3dglasses

Hi :welcome:
Too funny that you were at lurker on my last TR. I lurk a lot myself.
Glad you are here for this one too!

So looks like we might be canceling the ddp!
DH was sent a email stating they may or may not get bonus from work. This has been a issue before, and we got a lesser amount. So I figure it is better to cancel the ddp then air fare.
We will still keep a few TS, not sure what ones yet besides coral reef, maybe chef Mickey’s, and Kona. Capt. Jacks has removed the lobster from the menu, so I have to found a different place for dinner on NYE.
We will just be the starving family you see in WDW. BUT hopefully wearing phillies World Series champion shirts, if they can get out of this game tonight. Not playing to good tonight, I am tired so I thought I would hop on the dis.

So I just check airtran we site. I just wanted to see our flights times, so I could copy and paste without having to log in to wdw etc. If DS and DD see I am on wdw site, so much it might become clear to them. Well, it looks like our flight time is the same but the price has want down a $130 dollars cheaper. Will WDW credit me for the amount? Do I need to call them?
Help anyone!

I was up so late last night, but The Phillies pull it off! Was not pretty but we will take it. LETS GO PHILLIES!

So we are still waiting for the Phillies to be champions. I hated that the game was postponed last night. Todays weather is going to be no better.
Here are some pics of us at the game this year. We sit right behind the phillies dugout. I have a great view of Pat Burrell when he bats.:lovestruc

We are just so excited right now! My house is not going to sleep.
We are looking to take a train to philly on Friday for the parade.
I want to thank Pat Burrell for making me a phillies fan.

Sorry about your loss. :(

I thought of you when I saw this on the news this morning :goodvibes

I wont tell. They stink anyway!:lmao:
Sorry about your loss. :(
Hi Hedy, Thank you. Welcome! I remember you from before. How have you been? Today has been a bit hard for me. Every year my Mom would come over on Halloween and give out candy. She always enjoyed it so much. I had a moment at the parade today when I thought; I wonder if she knows the Phillies won the World Series? I miss her so much. Today is also my Grandma’s birthday. She would have been 99. Happy Halloween Birthday momom!

HAPPY HALLLOWEEN!

:thumbsup2 Well I made it through a day in the city of brotherly love.:thumbsup2 Going there is never a favorite thing of mine. you know when you are younger and you are like "yeah I am moving to the city". Well that was me, but I hate it. You can stick me in Lancaster any day.
We caught a train and were standing waiting for the parade on 17th and Market by 9am. We were very lucky and had a great spot. People were really behaving. I was worried once the parade started we were going to get pushed. But it was great. Everyone around us was very nice. Many of the players were video taping, and doing :worship:. It was so neat to see my DS in all of everything. He is such a true fan. :yay:
Getting home was awful. Septa was not prepared for the crowds. We waited a total of four hours and 15 minutes to get on a train. No kidding. I could not believe it. We got in line at 1:10 pm. They moved the line in a different direction. So you had to get back in line. Then we only moved twice.
People were going up near the front of the line and forming on the outside. It was crazy. People were yelling back of the line, but no one was listen. Young kids no older then maybe 12 years old were telling adults to shut the beeping up. The transit police were no help. They did nothing at all. They finally after three and half hours block off the area were people were jumping in.
We finally got on a train at 5:30pm. The worst part was they only let so many on the train. We left the station with empty seat and tons of people waiting in line. No wonder it was taking so long. I could not believe it.
On the train up to philly,we had to stand. They put as many on as they could. We took lots of photos, but I have to get DD to show me how to upload them, because we used her camera.
So thumps up to the Phillies for a great parade.
Thumps down to SEPTA for not going the extra mile.
I will post pics tommorow. Have to serve punkin pie and cider to all the kids who are hanging here tonight. I am so glad we made it home in time for Halloween!

Here are some of the pics from The Phillies parade on Friday.
