10, 9, 8, 7…Partying with the mouse NYE 2009! Home and working on a TR.

Thanks, I have wanted to eat there the last two trips. Trying to eat places this trip that we have never eaten at in WDW. There are many other places I like to try but DH and the kids are so picky.

Coral Reef is my favorite restaurant  You will love it

Coral reef is wonderful, even if you don't get the diver. We all really enjoyed dinner and my husband just LOVED eating with the fishes ;) . You could probably still get personalized menus, if you want to do that (another surprise :) ).
:lmao: and other things. We call him our man dog. He is a mna stuck in a dogs body.
And snoring rottie pictures are perfectly acceptable, you know. Sometimes it's what they do best :rotfl: .

This is Jewels Ariel. She is a mixed yellow lab/chow. We adopted her seven years ago from our local SPCA. We had adopted her and her brother a black lab. as puppies. Her brother was hit by a car.:sad1:

This is Thor Utley.(named after phillies Chase Utley ) He was adopted three years. He had a couple of issues when we first brought him home. He is just a big baby.

 PHILLIES WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

I'm here! Your ADRs look great and your furbabies are adorable! (Your human babies are cuties too!)
How fun to be going to Disney at Christmastime. That's something I've always wanted to do.

Hi Heather,:goodvibes

I just found your pretrip report and I am loving it.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mother. I do agree with your DH, this trip will help you get through the holidays.

We have stayed at POFQ twice and loved it. I really think you will love it there too.

Good luck with keeping this trip a surprise.

:goodvibes

Hey! Thanks for the PM.

I'm so excited for you guys! :cool1: What a great time to go to the World!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. :( I hope that being at the happiest place on earth during the holidays will make things easier for you.

You have a lovely family - including your gorgeous puppies! :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Hi :welcome:
I really do hope I can keep it a surprise! I am looking forward to staying at POFQ. When did you stay there? How where the buses? I have read some iffy reviews. But we are not picky.

Hi So glad you are still dising!
Thank you it has been a rough summer. Really the last year has been tough, just worrying about my Mom. My Mom was my best friend along with DH. The worst part has been just not beening able to call her or go over and spend time with her.
We are flying and not driving this time. I thought about you driving last year in Jan. DH just does not have enough days left to drive down. Driving would have help keep the surprise a bit longer. But we got lucky with some reasonable air fare. So glad you are here!:flower3:

Ok. I have a dilemma. I spent last night sitting here on the computer reading bad reviews of Tony's Towne Square and watching the race with DH.
My dilemma is should I cancel Tonys or not? If I do where should we eat?
Crystal place or do a counter service? I thought about cancel our ADR's at Tony's and Ohana's and try to get Hoop dee doo musical review one night.
We had such a great time there last year, even with the huge mistake I made.
HELP!!!!!!!! Has anyone eaten at Tony's?

Thinking of that here is my TP from Aug. 2007. In case anyone is looking for more disney reading! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1502702

Your next vacation is 79 days away!
Can't wait to see you real soon!

I don't have any news on Tony's but, the CP was great. We loved it...we went for lunch.
Don't you love seeing your countdown get smaller??? I just signed onto the boards and noticed a news story for NYE. I'm starting to notice Christmas merchandise in the mall. I was in the drugstore today and noticed the Christmas wrap...we're getting closer to the Christmas season!!! I feel a little strange being there already...playing Christmas music when I'm home by myself...can't wait for the rest of the world to catch up.

Pam, your dogs are adorable . I love Jewel's sweet face and of course Thor with that huge, Rottie grin. Rescue pets are the BEST pets :goodvibes .

I've never eaten at Tony's but I'd suggest that you keep the reservations & find out for yourself. One of the things that I noticed while on our trip was that tastes & reviews are all subjective and what some people may rave over (or complain about) won't be the same for everyone. You won't know for yourself unless you try it for yourself. And Tony's is a place that you had wanted to try, so by all means you should!

For instance- I heard nothing but raves over how divine the filled crepes in France were so of course I was dying to try them. They were bleah, rubbery and uninspired. Maybe I just got them on an off day? But that was my experience...it doesn't mean that the crepes are icky but mine sure was.

Pam!! I made it! Sounds great so far..I wish I could see the Christmas decorations, but Ill just miss them by a few weeks.

You really need and deserve this trip. :)

Hi Pam!! I just found your PTR and I'm subbing in! I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom, I hope the trip will help you get through the holidays.

Your family is beautiful! Your DH sounds a lot like mine! He gets motion sick very easily! My DH has to wear a patch of something (that cost me $100 a trip) to fly because the take off and landing are too much! He swears on our anniversary trip in March he's taking me on Splash Mountain because he knows I really want to go on it and our kids have alway either been to small or chickened out! We'll see!

As for Tony's, I happen to like it. But, I not exactly a foodie either. It's not the best Italian I've ever had but they have some good dishes! I love eggplant and they have a very good eggplant dish, DH likes their chicken parm pretty well also. CP is good too! We've eaten their several times and always enjoyed it! The characters are great and I just love the atrium feel to it!

I'm still around, just not as active as I use to be. With no trips planned, Disney hasn't been big on my mind (or I'm trying to tell myself that). Chuck is in the process of getting orders for his next duty station and we're looking at possibly going to Washington State. Once we know for sure I'll begin planning a trip to Disneyland. :goodvibes

I love driving, but I understand wanting to fly to give yourself a bit more time at the parks.

We've never eaten at Tony's, but just wanted to say that I'd love to do HDD again. You know how much we enjoyed it too.

Hi Everyone sorry I have been MIA. I came down with a darn bug and barley made it through work Thursday. I just started feeling better last night. Of course DH tried to download a new program, and we have a virus on our computer. He is dumping the computer as I type. So I snuck in DS room to use his. I be back tommorow.

Great Report so far. I'm also going around your time at NYE. I've eaten at Tony's. 3 years ago, I said I'd never go there again, a year later it was good. I haven't been since the referb last January. We were supposed to eat there on 12/30, but switched out for Crystal Palace breakfast. It's a very standard Italian restaurant. Looking at your adrs we have a lot of the same ones just on different days. Hope you have a great trip.
