10, 9, 8, 7…Partying with the mouse NYE 2009! Home and working on a TR.

We are definitely using the 4/3 deal! Would rather go in Feb but just started an awesome new job and don't feel comfortable asking for time off that soon.

I'm anticipating free dining in Sep, so will upgrade to BC, both of which are a first for us. :woohoo:

Your ADR's look great!

We're trying Beaches and Cream for the first time in January. All I had to say to DH was really good dessert and he was in!! We're also trying Kona for lunch! I definitely think a Lapu Lapu is in order!!

:dance3: 50 Day mark is here:dance3:
:santa: My TOP TEN :santa:

#1 Smile and enjoy the atmosphere. I want to stop and smell the flowers! Ok, well the popcorn or chocolate croissants. I want to relax, and enjoy this trip. I want to take it all in, because I really feel lucky to be going to WDW.I always say I am going to go and not get stressed, and then I end up getting pissy about something stupid. Like Aug. 2007, the heat got the best of me, oh and rude people line jumping, HDMR ADR -I messed up the time. In 2005 running to make our ADR, at CRT. Running to get to the castle is not magical.Relax and enjoy my favorite place in the world, because who knows when I will be able to get there again.

That is great. I would love to stay at BC someday. I am thinking for my 40th birthday. I am already planning my next trip. :rotfl:

For the last two years we have wanted to take the kids to Beaches and Cream for the kitchen sink. There is just never enough time, no matter how many days you stay. So I thought you know what this would be the perfect night. I cant wait to have a Lapu Lapu. Maybe two!!!!!!! :rolleyes1

Congrats on the 50 days dance!  :cool1: :cool1: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2:

January was difficult to pack for. We did swim, but it was in a heated splash pool. Most of us wore pants the entire time with a short-sleeved shirt for during the day. In the mornings and at night it can get quite chilly so be sure to have some hats/gloves.

I love your top ten! :goodvibes

Thanks so much. Today is 49!!!!:jumping1: I so excitied.:upsidedow
Do you think I should even pack shorts? I don’t wear shorts, I usually just wear capris. But I put aside DS, DD and DH's shorts last night in the attic. It will be so weird not to have the humidity, and heat this trip. When we went in March 97, it was so warm. Then came home to yucky snow on the ground here.

:cool1: I love the countdown getting closer!! Great top 10!!

Love your top 10!! Well you know me I won't be bringing any shorts along LOL!!!!

I too am planning my next trip! I will be returning next December for my Christmas trip (I thought of October for a birthday trip, but Christmas won out LOL)!!! I'm going to stay at CBR during that time!

Thanks. It is the little things I want to do this trip, that we never got to do.
You will have the winter coat on right? When my mom lived in Fla. she would say it is cold here, and thought yeah right!

I have been playing around since we got home last Aug.with either Jan. for DS's birthday or March for DH's birthday. I am hoping to able to go on a crusie for DH's birthday in April, when the kids are on spring vacation.

CBR is nice, that is were we stayed last Aug. I would like to stay in one of the theme rooms now.

I don't wear shorts normally either. I'd bring one pair for the kids, just in case. But, it shouldn't be so hot that they'd NEED them, you know? It might be warm enough that they could wear them later in the day.

Our other trip was also in March - early March - and it was too hot for me!

We'll have the coats on when we leave home that's for sure. I'm hoping ew don't need them on the trip. But, I'm not betting on it! When we went in march 05 we needed them the middle of our stay, I remember saying to DH "It's really cold" he said it wasn't cold until you could see your breath. A little while later you could! This past March the first 2 days we were there it was really chilly and windy!! Our first night we went to the Luau at Poly and nearly froze to death! It was 42 according to the themometer on DS's stroller when we left there. It was so windy the wind chill had to be like 30! Later in the week it got HOT! Waiting in the sun for Block Party Bash the themometer on the stroller said 105!! It was definitely in the mid - upper 80s, in the direct sun it was too much for this girl!

Is it like are fall weather here on the east coast? You know where we have the jackets on in the morning and by midday you are peeling clothes off?
I am going to have to hold off on packing till that week I think. I will have to look at weather.com before packing a lot.

I think we are driving to the airport and parking our car there. So we will too, and just leave them in the car...depending on the weather. My friend want last Nov.She just called me tonight She said they froze at night in WDW. She said she could see her breath too. I was :scared1:

I bought gum today for our trip. :cool1: Four packages, two orbit and two of that new five gum. Gum is so high in price. I use to only chew trident, but the five gum last a long time. I hide it in the back pack up in the attic.
DS asked tonight at dinner were I wanted to go for my birthday dinner. My birthday is not till the 19th of December. Which I guess, it is close. He was hoping I would say red lobster I think. I said Chef Mickey’s, and he said really mom, come one. I love I keep sending out this hints to them. I think we might now not tell them anything and just wake them up in the morning and say get dressed we are going to Disney world. But it might not make for good video. They would not beleive me, becasue I have said that before when wakign them. :rolleyes1 Hmm.. that might be good.
I don’t think the VA trip is going to work. So I might tell them that they need to get to bed early so we can go to NY for NYE. Every year I say "oh wouldnt it be neat to be there when the big ball drops?" I also thought about telling them Christmas day. I don’t know.....:headache:

Wake them up and tell them! Maybe if you have the video camera in your hand they'll figure it out! I always think that we're going to do that to the kiddos at some point. I've never seen my kids get out of bed as fast as they do when we're leaving for WDW! And it's always like 4 in the morning!

I'd say it's similar to that. It's good to wait and see the forecast. In my opinion, January is the best month to visit Florida. :goodvibes

It's so fun hearing you plan the surprise and how you're going to tell them. Are you going to videotape their response when they finally know what's going on?

Day 1 Wednesday 12/31/08
Arrive at resort and check in. Eat lunch. Resort hop to see Christmas decorations. WL,AK,GF,YC, BC, BW, Dinner at Beaches and Cream (BEACH CLUB resort)
Resort pool, shower, possible watch fireworks outside of DHS.

Yes, I am going to video tape them, when I tell them.

Has anyone been there? We have never done disney quest, and I was thinking maybe one day going there if we have the time. It is very high in price, is it worth it?

If you're willing to devote a whole day to it, it's worth it. We got the free upgrade last Feb and spent approx 4 hours in there. Tons of fun (DS was 8 yrs old). DH and I love video games as well. But after 4 hours I was ready to leave. But knew we would come back again. We had the free upgrade so didn't have to pay. Will most likely pay to go again this trip since it means so much to DH and DS. :3dglasses

I am thinking about it for NYE. Since we are not doing a park that day, I though Disney Quest might be fun. Depending on how long it will take us to visit all the resorts. The $42.5o price seems a bit high. But I have a ticket from 2000 with a option still on it.
