10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Thanks Lauren for the update. I wasn't aware of this and it is really good to know! Someone I know shipped wine ahead of time and it is in limbo somewhere.......

Man, that is really going to be a problem for the longer cruises. I do understand the safey aspect, though.

Hello Everyone!

Dave and I are heading to Morgantown, WV tomorrow night for the long weekend. Can't wait to see my two WV grandchildren. On Friday, we'll be at Paul's kindergarden class so I can read a book or two to the class.

I bought a "FE" on Ebay last week. Nothing special, but it'll do.

Have a safe trip to Morgantown, West Virginia!
I have been to West Virginia once. My "daughter" Katie (French Bulldog) was born in Elkview, West Virginia. We drove from Philadelphia to Morgantown to get her on New Years Eve a few years back. The drive was beautiful and the mountains are huge!

Jacquelyn, Your FE is adorable!

Jan, I wish you good weather! Here in the DC area they are talking high 50s and the early flowers are just starting to peek out. Have a great trip!

As for the rest of us? I am just really glad to be over the hump! :rotfl:

I want to do this too! I want our first cruise to be extra special for my kids...they will just love this! We will be in room 6056....one boy (10), one girl (8).

Since all the days have the same amount of people, I'll take the Key West day if that is alright.

Thanks for organizing this mommaluvsdis! :yay:

Glad to do it and I've got you down for Key West day. I looked around the stores today and found some really neat stuff. Guess, I'll have to make my mind up.

Jacquelyn, the FE is really cute!

Jan, y'all travel safely and enjoy those grandbabies. There's just nothing like a grandchild!

Jan, enjoy those grandbabies. Sounds like a good weekend. The only time I've ever been in WV was on the back of a motorcycle. Endless turns and mountains and I was so sleepy, but couldn't go to sleep...not a very fun trip. Give me a car trip anytime.

Hello everyone! All ready for Easter??? I hope that I can find a good ham - got one of those Paula Deen Smithfield hams for Christmas and it was awesome so hopefully the same grocery store will have them. Fingers crossed anyway.

Anyone been following the ship boxes, don't ship boxes, ship boxes thread on the main board? I had pretty much decided that I would just ship my box to Old Key West if I had to but I now see that it can just go to the port. And if I don't get it until late that will be OK too. Makes getting whatever the FE gifts will be easier to get to the port.

Not much else going on in northern MI. Jan - you and Dave have fun in WV and we are looking forward to lunch next Sunday. Take care all and travel safe for those going on adventures.

Hi everyone! I love the new logo! I need to figure out how to add it! I saw directions a little wasys back. Thank you!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!

Good Morning Everyone!

We are applying for our passports today. This makes the cruise seem so much closer. :yay:

This week has gone by so fast. I wish we still had 2 weeks for break (we had this when my oldest was in K and 1st). I still haven't gotten everything done I wanted.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Gena

Hello everyone! Our spring break doesn't start until March 31st but schools are closed today. Drew has not had a full week of school (like going 5 days) since before Thanksgiving! Between the late starts, snow days, scheduled days off - it has not happened since November! Good thing seniors in our state don't have to meet some sort of requirement - they would have to move graduation! Maybe the starts will all line up for next week! We shall see.

We are not doing anything special for the holiday - no company expected nor will we be company anywhere, just a quiet day at home.

Happy Easter Weekend

We are just staying at home as well. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Lois

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL day here in Chattanooga! Sunny and high of 72. Sounds like a great day to go downtown and just explore.

Our only plans for the weekend are to go to my SIL's house tomorrow for lunch. Nice to get all 8 grandkids together and we "old" people sit around and talk or maybe go for a walk. Sunday, it's just us here at the house.

My bathroom is almost finished, and I am so thrilled about that. Just have to find something to put on the wall and I'm done. I'll post a pic. after I put the finishing touches on it. Of course, it'll never be as pretty as the Pepto-bismal (sp?) pink tile we had in there before, but oh, well.... ;)

I got my new Passporter in the mail yesterday, so my goal in the next few weeks is to sit down and seriously look at excursions.

Hard to believe it's almost time to go back to school. This week has gone so fast, but at least my student teacher will be teaching for the next two weeks, so I can hopefully get some things done at my desk like I need to.

Have a good one guys!

Lori P. :)

Does anyone have a DD around 13-15 going on the cruise :confused3 or am I the only "cruel" parent forcing my teenage daughter to go on a fabulous cruise with her family?:rolleyes1

Are you in search of the elusive smile? I just love that commercial!

Gail, is this your first graduating senior, last, only? Just wondering if you've done this before. I was so happy when my first one graduated because we'd already had the "You're going to graduate if I have to drag you kickin' and screamin' all the way down the isle" argument. Don't know why he disliked school so much. He graduated honor student.

But when my younger son graduated, I almost needed to be sedated! I cried for 2 weeks before and 2 years after!

We're, no let me change that to I'm staying home doing nothing for Easter, too. Steve will be at work and Austin, our 20 YO DS did decide to come in this weekend but he thinks he's too old to hunt eggs!

Lori, I think Chattanooga is just georgeous! We've driven thru before and I watched the HGTV show where the couple built that hugh house!
