Just bumping from page 2. It's SNOWING again. We have been lucky as the UP and then southern MI has been hit lately but guess it was our turn today. I have officially had enough and spring may arrive any day.

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. We did. Had so much fun with my two Morgantown grandkids. Hated to leave, but I'll be going back in April and May for their birthdays.

We are now 5+ months and counting to the 9/14 Wonder cruise with my 2 DDs and grandkids! My DD who has not yet cruised is so excited. She called the other day to find out if she can wear capris in the dining rooms.

Hey Everybody,

It has been a crazy week. We have SAT testing next week and everyone is feeling the stress, getting the kids ready. I'm glad the weekend is almost here.

DH is planning for us to work in our yard Sat. He has big plans for our backyard. It will be a project that will take several weekends to complete, but will be nice in the end. Our first baseball game is not until Monday evening.

We'll me joining you on the Magic!! It wil me my DH,DS and me in one cabin, then my SIL, Niece, and her friend in other cabin. We've been on the Wonder in 2004, first time on Magic. Just got back from the Norwegian Jewel 9 day cruise, but can't wait for the Disney cruise.

I am REALLY looking forward to this weekend. Wynn and Tucker (DH and DS) are going to Charleston, SC tomorrow for a camping trip with cub scouts. They will be spending the weekend on the USS Yorktown, an aircraft carrier. Avery (DD) is going to have a sleepover with her cousin... leaving me in the house all alone!! Of course, I plan to clean like crazy while everyone is out of the house... but at least I will be doing it in peace!

Don't you just LOVE alone time?? I love my family but also really enjoy peace and quiet sometimes. Very relaxing. Sort of nice to see them go and great to have them home again!

DH is a scoutmaster and I would bet will stay in scouts even after our youngest (an Eagle I might add but then so is our oldest as is DH) leaves for college. And even thinking about that, Drew turned 18 last June so I guess it has already begun.

I hope Tucker stays with it and gets his Eagle. He is a Webelos I right now. Avery is a Daisy Girl Scout, and I am her leader. Between the 2, we stay VERY busy on the weekends!

We only have boys so by Girl Scout experiences are only when I was involved in it. Boy Scouts is a good thing (for the most part anyway) and has done well with all the men in my house. Keeps them active and outdoors. Drew even works at scout camp in the summer - has for several summers.

My in-laws are here for a visit. I love them to death but it always increases the stress in my life. They leave tomorrow and then it is into the office to try to get caught up at work. It is a never ending battle.

Still don't know if we're going(on the cruise) but had to chime in on the Scouting stuff. We just had my son's Court of Honor ceremony on March 15 5 other boys in his troop also were made Eagles that day. We have a very strong troop(over 60 boys)...lots of parents are committee members and troop leaders. He is our only boy so, sadly, we are pretty much done with scouting. He is looking into a Venturing troop, if he can swing it with work, EMT training and his volunteering at the local fire station.
We found scouting to very helpful to my shy, introverted son. Many times, especially when he hit 16 or so, he wanted to give up but with some gentle and not so gentle prodding , he stuck with it and he is now so happy that he did. Good luck to all of you and your future Eagles!!

He is our only boy so, sadly, we are pretty much done with scouting.

Time to get your little DD into Girl Scouts! Avery has had so much fun with Daisies (kindergarten) and will be moving up to Brownies in June. She can hardly wait for me to plan a camping trip!

Congrats on your DS Eagle. Tucker has a large pack, too. They have 53 boys. The troop meets upstairs from them - not sure how many boys, but I think there are 4 patrols now.
