10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Happy 4th of July to all.

We spent most of the night in the ER last night with DS12. He dislocated his elbow in baseball practice last night getting ready for the world series that starts today:sad2: He is up now but pretty sore. He still thinkis he is going to play ball today:confused3

Lori the boys did like the movie was pretty good.

Off to family party this morning then to the ball park for opening day stuff. Will talk to you all later we have a pretty busy next 4 days. Wish our boys luck.

Kim

Bumping us up for the end of the weekend.

Baseball world series did not go so well this year. :sad2:
But baseball should be over for the year :cloud9:
Football practice restartes tomorrow, so the next adventure continues.

DS9 went to church camp today, he was very excited. Hope he has a great time for the next 5 days. DS12 will go next week. to bad for mom they dont both go the same week.. That would just leave DS5 at home;)

Hope you all had a great weekend. Talk to you all soon, have to go and make plans for our WDW trip coming up.:woohoo:

Kim

Kim, I'm sure the end of baseball season sounds good to you. Our two oldest are trying out for select soccer teams. I don't know if we know what we might be getting into, lol.

This next week is my last free week of the summer. After that, I'm going to St. Louis with my youngest son, then on to Dollywood with my family. The week after that is the beach (Navarre Beach in Florida). We get back on the 28th and I report for work on the 2nd of August. Kids don't go back until the 13th though. My DH is talking about taking the four boys to his grandmother's farm in AL the weekend before their school starts, so I might get 3 days to MYSELF!!!! Oh..I'm sorry...did I sound just a little too excited? :rolleyes1

Good morning everyone!

It's been a busy weekend for us. My brother's wedding was on Saturday (yes, one of those infamous 7/7/07 weddings) AND we FINALLY booked this cruise, which we've been planning for some time!

It'll be me and my DH James. We're on deck 6 forward, standard inside.

This will be our second Disney Cruise. Our first was a pre-wedding "honeymoon" 4-night. I'm really excited to finally go on a longer cruise. We will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary (a little early) on this cruise. Since we got married on Dec 19th, it's always a little difficult to take vacations right around our anniversary date.

We're so excited! I can't wait to book everything else and get going.

Danielle,

I'm glad you're joining us! This is our second cruise as well, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Lori P. :)

Welcome Danielle :cheer2: .

I can't wait either. It seems when you are really looking forward to something, time seems to go very slooowly.

Have a good week everyone :goodvibes
Tania

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Welcome Danielle!!!

I just got back from a 4 day mini vacation. Went to see 2 of my 6 grandchildren in Morgantown, WV. My DH, Dave, just got back from a week of fishing in Ontario.

We're going to Port Hurson, Michigan this coming weekend for a getaway.

Have a great week.

Jan

Ok, so I know I just booked this cruise. But, it works a lot better for us to go on the Oct 18th cruise because of work obligations, so I changed my booking to that cruise. Hope you all have a great time on this on!!

Well, I guess we say goodbye to one Danielle and hello to another Danielle, lol.

Seriously, Danielle, welcome to you and your mom!

Jan, glad you were able to visit with your grandchildren. We MUST go visit my family this October. We have been putting it off since last October. It's easy to do since my mom keeps coming here, but Iwould like to visit my brother, so I think we're going during Fall Break. 12 hours in a van with four boys is just not my idea of fun. :)

Well, I'm heading off to bed. I went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter last night (along with EVERYONE else in Chattanooga), and I'm sleepy. Of course, as soon as my head hits the pillow, I will be wide awake. Goodnight everyone!

Lori P. :)

Welcome to the new Danielle.

The midnight session - did your boys go too? I wouldn't be able to stay awake for that. My DD had a birthday party to go to so we had to wait to see it on the 2nd day and an early evening session at that. All the sessions were sold out well before the start times here.

Now only 8 days to go before the final book. Something to take my mind off the cruise for a while :rotfl: .

Hey there! First time Disney Crusier here! Looks like we will be joining many other DISers. Just discovered this web page 5 days ago and booked just 2 days ago. REALLY looking forward to it! I think I have read everyones trip report for the last year (spending way too many hours doing it). I am a HUGE planner and so glad to see others as obsessed as I. I already have my excel spreadsheet and my passporter (from the library). I ordered the Deluxe version that is on clearance right now and am dying to get it in the mail! I have subscribed to this thread and looking forward to hearing about all the excitment.

I was a little concered that this ship will be 10 years old when we crusie, but actually very excited to hear it will be coming out of drydock just before. If anyone hears of what will be added...please share!

Future cast: DH (38), me (37), DS (10), DD (8)
:yay:

No, I put everyone to bed and then went by myself. It was WONDERFUL!! I was able to sit in my favorite section of seats. I didn't have to share my drink or popcorn with anyone, and I didn't have to take anyone to the potty, lol. We'll take the boys to see it when we go to the beach in a few weeks.

I'm so excited about the book. It comes out the day I leave for the beach, so I guess I'll hit the midnight party at Books a Million, head home for a few zzz's and read all the way to Florida.

Lori P. :)

Welcome dvanhazel & family. I'm sure you're going to enjoy the cruise :goodvibes . I hope they add some cool stuff in drydock.

Lori - What good timing. A great book to read on holiday :goodvibes . Our book buying time is 11am so no getting up early for that :) . I have pre-ordered so won't rush in with the crowds. Will wait a couple of hours probably. My DH is frantically reading number 6 because he can't remeber what happened. I'm hoping it takes him a while so I get a chance to read the new one first :thumbsup2 . He usually gets his hands on it first & I can't stand the wait. Mind you he is a very quick reader.

My 2 kids couldn't wait a couple of weeks to see the movie. They were really looking forward to it. Luckily I warned them about drinking too much ;) .

Have a good weekend everyone. Its nearly midnight here on Saturday, so I'm off to bed.

Tania

Welcome Dvanhazel! If you're looking for obsessed, you've come to the right place, lol. Just think how much fun we get to have planning for a trip over a year away.:earboy2:

Tania, am I correct in estimating that you are about 17 hours ahead of me (eastern USA)? I noticed you said it was almost midnight on Saturday and my computer showed you posted at 7:28 AM or so. That is still such a neat concept to me...that it can be morning here and someone else in the world is finishing up the day that I just started (and vice versa).

Ok, I have to go to bed. It's 1:00 AM here and I have to drive 8 hours tomorrow. I have the last several weeks of DIS podcasts saved up to keep me alert, b/c I get really sleepy when I drive (so if you don't mind, keep my son and I in your prayers). I fell asleep once driving at 3:00 am and wrecked my car, so I'm really careful now.

Have a good weekend all!

Lori P. :)

Lori
Have a safe trip. You and your son will be fine.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend. DS12 is off to camp today, and he is driving us all nuts he is so excited.

Off to church and then to drop him off
Kim

Hey there everyone I haven't been keeping up with everyone. With work, school, planning my nephew's wedding..you all know what I mean. :lmao:
So welcome to all the new comers. The more the marrier and so far we are on track to have a great pack!
I reviewed the updated group list on the first page and realized I never posted my name and info. I am Coleane, DH Stephen and DS Cameon. In laws are Robin, Richard and Neice Hailey & Nephew Nicholas.

My little countdown on my computer screen reads 445 days to go. Here's to being patient!!:rolleyes1

Happy Sunday :thumbsup2

Coleane

Lori, hope you have a safe trip.

Yes, I think we are 16 hours ahead of eastern time. It is really quite cool to think of people just starting a day we've already finished. One good thing about the time difference is that 3am EST is 7pm here - no getting up in the middle of the night for booking Palo, excursions etc :) .

It's Monday morning here & the kids have started back at school again (after 2 weeks off). They weren't too keen to get up this morning but I'm sure once they're back into routine they'll be fine.

Have a good week everyone :goodvibes .

Tania

Moving us up from page 4  !!!

I have read Harry Potter - finished on Monday. Now DH is reading, we were sharing during the weekend so he is also nearly finished.

Think of us down here with very cold temperatures and rain, while your enjoying the heat.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Tania

Tania, I'm not going to give away anything in case some people are still reading Harry Potter, but did you like the book? I bought it at midnight, Friday night and read it all the way to beach on Saturday. Finished at 2:00 AM Sunday morning, just couldn't put it down. I was pleased with the book. :)

My son and I had a nice trip to St Louis, so weird to only have one child to deal with. Very easy, lol. (However, I remember when I only had one kid and thinking it was hard at times, I guess it's all relative.) On the way back, we stopped at the St. Louis archway and went up. I'm glad we did it on Wed. instead of Saturday due to the power failure they had there that day. Whew, I would have hated to have been trapped in those little pods for two hours. It was HOT in those things. I feel for the people who were.

We went to Dollywood last Friday, had a great time!!! Left for Florida on Sat and will leave for home this Sat. whew! I'll be ready to return to work, just get some rest from my vacation, lol.

Coleane, nice to hear from you again...thought you'd gone off a cruise without us, lol. Just kidding....

Kim, hope your son has fun at camp. My DH took my three oldest to children's camp last week. He was a counselor to about 6 young boys (grades 3-5) He came home and said, "I think I need a beer." lol

Well, I'm going to go to bed. It's 11:15 here in Navarre Beach, but my internal EST clock is screaming 12:15. (not to mention I was awakened by a MONSTROUS storm at 4:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep)

Talk to you guys later!

Lori P. :)
