10/31/10 Halloween Wonder

We did the birthday celebration on board. It's nice. They bring you a cake after dinner, sing and the photographer takes pictures. It was cute. DD did not want it loud. She was turning 9 and getting into the "Jeez Mom!!" stage.

We have one more family that wishes to join the FE group. Does anyone mind if we add them? 3 children, 2 adults. I'm thinking that its still early enough but I know people are traveling far away and may already have started finalizing all their gifts. Let me know if your thoughts.

It's officially cut off which is why I asked prior to adding someone else.
I will re-send the list tonight. The only stateroom numbers that are now missing is Megan's.

If we hand out any candy it will be in the FE bags. Last cruise we had gotten a really good deal on glow necklaces so we decided to bring them along and hand them out randomly on pirate night.
First, who knew that there are people out there that don't know what glow necklaces are??
Second, we were scrutinized and questioned and treated like pedophiles. I let DD take the lead and hand them out (she was 9 at the time).
One parent was like "What are they? Why do you have them? How much do you want for them? Oh, they're free? I'll take 6" Umm, you only have one kid. "Well yeah but he has friends coming." I now save my kindness for the FE groups.
You may see some candy in your bag from us though!

Wondering if I should bring a pillowcase, Vinylmation to guest services for Anthony and Natalia? Has anyone done this is it something special or just eh? I would bring my own markers and have some candy thank-yous.

Uncle Tony here is kinda obsessed in making this a fun filled trip for his family!!!

Everything is done except a few more FE's to buy and I may prepay tips. Disney World trip all paid for, free dinning, all ressies, Limo car everything done!!!

Oh wait I need to start packing!!! I started putting stuff together two weeks ago but nothing major.

You sound like an AWESOME Uncle..I also have to go get more FE stuff now can't wait for it to get here..this is going to be a surprise for our 9 year old son..do you know how hard it is not to talk about it and also plan??!!! LOL It will all be worth in on the 31st

We did a photo mat one time. It came out really nice. Only you need to note which way you want the orientation of the photo. I wanted it for our boarding photo which is horizontal. Photo mat with bunches of signatures came back vertical. Took one look and told DH that I needed to book another cruise to get it right. We did include a bunch of markers with it. I think they were Bic markers. I meant to bring a bag of kisses but forgot.

Heck, last cruise I forgot EVERYTHING!! I had this perfect backpack packed nice and tight with cruise docs, annual passes, paperwork needed for our dolphin cruise (required), cameras, toiletries, pillowcases, etc. Left the backpack by the front door when we walked out!! It was the night before Thanksgiving, 10 p.m. when we realized it. We were driving and were already in NC. We realized it when I went to grab something from it at a gas station.
DSD mailed all the documents on Continental. They wouldn't take the bag due to new regulations. Couldn't do any of the overnight couriers because they weren't open on Thursday so the earliest shipping was Friday for delivery Saturday morning (when we were boarding the ship). So we bought a new camera and basic toiletries. I took good care of the camera, cleaned it up when I got home and gave it to the other DSD for Christmas. The one that saved us with driving to the airport on Thanksgiving morning (and the one on this cruise) got a much nicer laptop for her efforts. She was in the car at 4 a.m. to get to Continental to get it on the first plane out. Ugh!!! But on a positive note, I believe the laptop is permanently attached to her fingertips.


And I agree, doesn't everyone know what glow necklaces are? People were acting like we were attempting to poison their kids. Go figure.

We did the pillow case on our last trip. I just dropped it by guest services on the first night with just a black sharpie and it was there on our last night all signed. We then had my mother embroider her name on it so it would make it extra special for her.

We got our FE in the mail (from gradysmommy on ebay). I am not crafty. It's perfect. We can't wait to use it, especially the kids.

Hey all! Sorry things have been busy at work...I cannot wait until this Cruise!!

We called Cruise Line today and they still have not assigned us a cabin. However 2 of our friends had to bail out so you can knock off Val and Pablo as well as one cabin. I'll let you all know when I know - trust me the suspense is killing me the most!!

Hi everyone!!

Just wanted to introduce myself, we (DH, DS and I) just booked this past Sunday and now that we have everything straightened away I can come on here and get excited.

This trip started as a last minute WDW trip and morphed into 2 days Disney, 4 day cruise!! I have to return to work a week after we get back so the cruise and trip is my DH way of keeping from freaking out

This will be our third Disney cruise, we've done the 7 night western and the 3 night wonder. We are sooooo excited!!!!

My little one will be almost 14 months when we sail so if there are any other babies out there, DS loves having buddies

Question for everyone since I'm so far behind on planning and research, what kind of clothes are you bringing, what should the weather/temperature be like???? Thanks
