10/31/10 Halloween Wonder

I got my cruise docs! Ohhhh it seems so real now... We are going on a DISNEY CRUISE Yippie! Back to figuring out what excursions we are going to be doing. My goal was to have everything planned 1 month before our trip (we are leaving on Oct 28th) Well just 24 hours left. I better get busy!

I am very new to the board and my family just booked for the 31st last week. We have a 4yr old and a 2nd old and this will be there 1st cruise. This will be the 2nd Disney cruise for my wife and I and we are very looking forward to having a great time!

Great to have you aboard. The kids will have a great time as I'm sure you know if you and your wife have already experienced the wonder of DCL.

Does anyone here know of a good place to buy good tanzanite rings in nasssau. I know my brother wants to buy one for his wife? (read my sister in law wants one and he better buy it! LOL)

on a side note I still haven't figured out if I'm bringing a halloween costume plus my Pirate costume. Is any one bringing both?

We're bringing costumes and then pirate t-shirts!! I'm packing light for this trip (or so I say now )

I just called DCL and booked this cruise and asked them what they have planned..they will have trick or treating, costume party, costume contest sounds like fun

2) Are you wearing Halloween costumes when you board? And if so, do you have a theme? Not when we board but that night I think we will. we are thinking of doing Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach

3) Do you want to participate in a FE gift exchange? Yes, we do

This will be our 8th Disney Cruise our second one this year lol..but the Florida resident rates have been too good to pass up..I am just as excited though as the first time cruising.

One of the things we are curious about is what to do with our 2yr old since he is not potty trained yet and is too young for the kid programs. I hope we can find some areas where he can play

Hi your son can go in flounders nursery it holds a fee which you have to pay for a minimum of two hours they dont give them lunch or dinner unless you provide it (you have to mark it up with their name) im not sure how much it is per hour though.

Im busy potty training my soon to be 3 year old so he can go in the oceaneers club and play with his big brother were getting there but we havent got long left now

Traveling with our family is myself (Allison), DH Mark, DD 10 - Mackenzie. Also bringing (in their own stateroom) DSD - Shannon and her DD Jaslyn 7.

Not when we board but that night I think we will. we are thinking of doing Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach We've decided against wearing them when we board but DD and DGD do have costumes for that night. Myself and DSD have redacted versions of costumes. We're doing an Alice theme.

4) Where are you from? Orlando Florida Ahh, easy to get to the boat for you!! We're from New Jersey. And I really haven't seen anyone else from Jersey on the boat which is odd. I can guarantee you that there will be quite a few on there just not participating on the thread. My DD had 2 girls with her at GS camp this summer that are on the Magic this same week. She was so annoyed we weren't on the Magic. Poor deprived child

This will be our 8th Disney Cruise our second one this year lol..but the Florida resident rates have been too good to pass up..I am just as excited though as the first time cruising. This is our 3rd DC. We have 2 additional ones booked on the Dream. Can't wait for that. We are DVC members and love to cruise and camp at Fort Wilderness!

Nice to meet you Allison..tomorrow is October we are surprising our son for this cruisewe did that once before so not sure if I can pull it off again lol..we will be celebrating two birthdays on this cruise DH is Nov 1st and DS is 7th. This will be the second time they have had the chance to celebrate their birthdays on board..lucky ducks..it is soooooo hard not talking about the cruise and I have to still decorate for Halloween at the house or he would get suspicious

Her Name is Madison Rose, so Rose is her middle name. We call her the Mad Rose and if I ever buy a boat I think I will call it the Mad Rose also. It works on so many levels.

We are still planning on bringing both. UNFORTUNATELY, EPCOT has decided to expand their hours for future world (this is such a great thing, just not in this one instance) So we wont have the benefit of real WDW costumes as it stands now. My cast member hook up has to work late so it will be a bit more laid back as far as the pirate thing goes. We're going to carry the halloween costumes, but will not put them on until "showtime" for show and dinner.
