10/26/2013 - A Western Fantasy Halloween Cruise

:cool1::banana::yay: Not sure what kind of local sweets to bring from this area, but definitely count me in on a munchie-meet!! popcorn::

We just returned last weekend from a large family cruise on the Fantasy and it was our favorite cruise and ship yet! We didn't recognize too many of the cast members, except for those in Palo, but everyone we spoke with was friendly and fun. The Western itinerary was better than expected... although it might have been the rum and tequila shop stops on our tours that 'influenced' me...

All my pictures aren't sorted out yet, but a few files have finally been uploaded to a folder on mediafire if anyone wants to see Navigators, port maps, food photos... just click on the cruise link in my signature below. 500+ days is too far away for our next one, but glad to be able to share some laughs with this group until then! pirate:

Yeah:banana: your back! I was just thinking it's not like you to be so quiet;) Glad to hear you had a good time... although I have a feeling you're not going to wait 500 + days before you hop on another:rolleyes1 I tried clicking on your sigie to check out your pics but it says mediafire is temporarily down:headache: Can't wait to see them:thumbsup2

The sweet meet sounds just my kind of thing :cloud9:

Great name for it!! :thumbsup2

it's not like you to be so quiet;)

I KNOW!! :rotfl:

although I have a feeling you're not going to wait 500 + days before you hop on another:rolleyes1

I would love to cruise again sooner, but these 7-night itineraries on the new ships cost a pretty penny nowadays. :crazy2:

I was able to log in again late last night. It'll probably take me another week to sort through and upload the rest, but the food pictures are there (the most important ones!!) :goodvibes

Speaking of food, what is everyone's favorite DCL food or meal? Or what are you looking forward to trying? And has anyone tried Remy's? I really REALLY like Palo and I would love to hear what people like about Remy's. :listen:

Hi there!
My husband and I booked this cruise on our Alaska sailing last month, where we also joined the Disney Vacation Club!
We are very excited to try a Halloween cruise as we love Halloween in Disney!

We are definitely in for this fish extender as well. It is myself, Mallory and my husband, Kent. We are in stateroom 8053. I am sending a request for the Facebook group this evening as well. Looking forward to counting down with all of you!

Welcome and you are added to the FE list.

Thanks! We are super excited too. We did the eastern Caribbean and loved it and have heard good things about this one!

Hi everyone!

We have decided to make 2013 "a year of cruising" with three different cruises scheduled! This Halloween cruise will be cruise number three and probably the one we are most excited about!

My name is Shannon and along with my DH Rick, we have three absolutely fantastic kids: Morgan DD20, Mitchell DS16 and Melissa DD9 as well as our newest members to our cruising clan, Joel DSIL20 and Jordan DGS1

We are slowly but surely becoming DCL experts haha We have cruised at both Spring Break and Christmas :santa: We have always wanted to take a Halloween cruise and can't wait to participate in all the holiday festivities. This will be our 6th Western itinerary, so we will probably stay on the ship for the entire cruise.

We will be going to WDW for a week prior to this cruise and can't wait to see the parks all decorated for Halloween! The parks are amazing at Christmas, and I hear they are just as beautiful at Halloween!!

Has anyone been to either WDW and/or DCL at Halloween? I would love to hear about it and see pictures if anyone has any to share!

Has anyone given any thought to a tshirt design yet? I know this cruise is quite a ways away, but it's never to early to start planning haha

Welcome to the group! Since you are a self proclaimed "expert" I am sure some of us will be asking you for your picks for great excursions! Feel free to share what you think are good one's to do. popcorn::

Welcome Aboard Terri,

Got you added to the FE after all.. This post had the missing info from your PM. :)

Can we come, too??? Pretty please with whipped cream and cherries on top? (although reading through the thread, I'm wondering if maybe Pretty please with chocolate sprinkles might be more appropriate!) :rotfl2:

I'm Michelle (41 at the time of the cruise) and I'm travelling with Vicki, my Mom and MsTxMom on the boards, but you have to look fast to catch her - she tends just to read rather than post. We have a stateroom currently, but I'm working with our travel agent to see if we can downgrade to a 5E, I was shocked to learn the extended verandahs on the back of the ship are less expensive!

Shannon - I love WDW at Halloween! My biggest recommendation is to go to the Halloween party, but go during the week - it's less crowded (the locals come out on the weekends). Also, go in costume! Just be prepared, the weather can be all over the place so if you can think in layers for your costume, you'll be happier. Try to get there early, and enjoy the special stuff - oh, and everyone is able to trick-or-treat!

You'll have a great time!

mstxmom here. AKA Vicki or Michelle's mom. I'm looking forward to enjoying the anticipation of this cruise with you. We have just returned from FL where Michelle cruised the Dream. My sister and I went to Jetty Park to wave the ship off and then spent a few days at Disney's Vero Beach. We've not cruised the Fantasy yet, it will be fun to explore. The highlight of the trip for me is Castaway Cay.

Two costumes to choose and pack? Pirate and Halloween? Oh my.:scared1:

This old-er lady (62 at cruise time) will try to figure out how to contact you on facebook or maybe Michelle will help me (hint, hint, dear) so I can follow you on it. Along with other things, I am tecnically challenged. :confused3

We both enjoy participating in the FE and the sweet swap sounds like fun too. You can't go wrong with candy, can you?

Here's hoping the wait for this cruise flies by!

My wonderful TA was able to get us moved to a GTY stateroom for this cruise. I sent a request on FB to update our stateroom, but thought I better mention it over here, too. Sorry about the overkill!

Me and My BF are gonning on our first voyage on the fantasy..... Looking forward to experiencing all the disney crusie line has to offer....:thumbsup2
