10/26/2013 - A Western Fantasy Halloween Cruise

I'm wondering if I should buy a bag of rice with all the weddings and pre weddings :rotfl2:

Tomorrow we move on from Portofino Bay Hotel to Port Orleans River Side :cool1:

See you all soon :goodvibes

We're excited.
Wondering if anyone is still thinking about excursions in Cozumel? We have registered for the Amazing Race. I can't post a link, because I am still a new user, but website can be found with an easy search.
Unfortunately, I got an email earlier tonight saying they may cancel. We are the only people registered right now - me, DH, and 6 yr old DD. They need 8 to not cancel. If anyone is still thinking about Cozumel excursions, take a look. It starts at 10:30 for about 3-4 hrs. If you email them, they send more details/info. Just wanted to toss this out there.

We had a FANTASTIC cruise. Met wonderfull people. :cool1:

Formal night picture. Great night, great friends, great Cruise.

It looks like nobody stops here anymore . . . so I might just be talking to myself . . . but I had a couple of things to share. . . .

Did anybody else time it so they got a pretzel from Luigi's? I had heard of them but this was the first time I got one! Luckily, Linda saw them and brought me back a pretzel 2 days in a row! Apparently, if you wanted a topping you dipped your pretzel in melted butter and then had the choice of salt or cinnamon/sugar.

I only went to Bingo one time, and was thrilled when Linda said she would join me. The best part. . . I won!! I lucked out and got a bingo on the first game and was the only winner so I got the $250 prize all to myself!! I decided to quit while I was ahead and made that my only bingo event!

I had been dreading the last day since before we even flew to Florida! I had booked a flight that was at noon which breaks all of my own rules! I usually want a flight that is after 1:30 pm so that I don’t panic. The flight closest to that time was around 5 and there is no way I could last that long in an airport (and going somewhere else for the day would stress me out). So, we decided to have breakfast in our room. I had ordered my coffee pot at night (which I did every night of the cruise). We had brought back cereal boxes, milk, fruit, utensils and bowls the day before so we were good to go! After breakfast, we went right to the Atrium and stood by the rope with a bunch of other people. Being their early really paid off because that Atrium was packed by the time the rope dropped!! We weren’t the first ones through, but when you split into lines, we were the front of our group. People in the other lines didn’t have everything ready to roll, so we ended up being the first ones off the ship and the first ones to hit customs! That was the first time we didn’t come down to see that crazy long line at customs!

I think we only had one little hiccup during our trip. We had filled out a postcard to drop into the “future cruise box”. When we got there, the woman was at the desk alone so I asked her if I could just hand it to her. I said, “I picked a random cruise because we don’t want to cruise again until Halloween 2015.” She said that they had a set cruise they used for that and it would give us all the benefits but be cheaper. We were on our way somewhere so she told us we didn’t have to stay. Well, we never got any kind of confirmation from her and didn’t think of it until about 2 days later. Linda called the phone number and left a message but we didn’t get any call back. We then called again on Friday, left another message and still heard nothing. When we returned home, we did find out that our travel agent did have the cruise transferred to her, but I wasn’t happy with their service on board!

We got the pretzels, it was a nice surprise other than the usual fare they offer! Yummy! We also had an early flight...our flight was at 11:10. We were one of the first off as well, no problems, no lines. And home by 4:30. we rebooked, also did the cheapest cruise to rebook for October of 2015. It took about four days after we got back to get the travel agents email that they got the rebooking info. Can't wait to get back on that ship!
