10/26/2013 - A Western Fantasy Halloween Cruise

Hey Kelsey, my DS was very excited to hear that you will be bringing a 10-year-old also. I think he was a little concerned that, out of the thousands of people on the ship, he would be the only 10 year old

We will have to do a group meet on the first day/night. It would be nice for the kids to meet others their own age. As much as my kids love each other , having someone else in the picture always helps.

I suggested earlier in the thread (and will probably do so again as we get nearer the time) that we try something which we did on our last cruise - a candy/choc swap. We had a DIS meet on the first afternoon (just before the lifeboat drill) and we all bought candy/chocolate from our home town/county/state. It was a great meet and we all enjoyed trying some of the goodies on offer

Yes I have to say that UK chocolate ROCKS! Canada has pretty good chocolate too I switched my original sailing because Joh lured me with chocolate.... and her company of course

haha chocolate tastings yes.... martini tasting no. I have to say I'm a cheap date I'll have to go to boozer boot camp before we cruise so I can increase my alcohol tolerance!

Not too worry our group never lets any alcohol go to waste during the tastings even if that means we have to drink it all...

There will be 3 cabins in our group; we are second-time cruisers but the other are newbies.

9052: Sherry (shelbecat), Bev, Casey (dd8)
9054: Dave, Shauna, Alison (dd7), Lindsey (dd4)
9055: Diane, Alexandria (dd19), Amie (dd16)

We will bring the Canadian chocolate for everyone! Also likely participate in the FE as we did on our last Dream cruise and it was a lot of fun.

Yes I may need some help.lol Last cruise my sister was the finisher but she won't be going this time I discovered I was not a fan of martinis except the chocolate one of course I'll have to try a different tasting this time around.

FYI to my fellow Canadians....Apparently if you are from a country where the drinking age is lower than 21 you just need a parent sign something at guest services and they will add it to their card that they can have alcohol.

I just reserved our booking for this cruise

We are in stateroom 7033 & this is our 1st cruise on the Fantasy & our 4th Disney cruise.

This is a surprise for the kids -- and I'm so excited to be on a longer cruise (the others were all 4 nighters) AND celebrating Halloween Disney-style

Our cast of characters:
Laurio (Lauri) - An evil pixie with a heart of gold

Sarah (dd age 7 at time of cruise) - She is a princess tomboy and general ring-leader. She has yet to meet a stranger~everyone is a friend that she doesn't know their name (yet).

Gabe (dgs age 6 at time of cruise) - A little bit of a cheese and a lot of epic cuteness!

I'd love to join in on the FE (if we are having one) --- the kids always love them and this time around they --- ack NO -- surprise trip!!! Well, they will be involved in the dispensing of said trinkets lol.

SOOOO excited! Can't wait until tomorrow when I can transfer the ressie from 'hold' to DVC points...

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan and me and my mom ShannonR are planning to book this cruise!

We are planning to go to WDW before the cruise! we have always done Christmas at WDW and Christmas cruises but now we want to try something different.

Traveling with us is My mom (ShannonR) My Dad (Rick), My Brother (Mitchell, 16), My Sister (Melissa, 9), Me (Morgan, 20) My DH (Joel ,20) and our DS (Jordan, 1)

We are Going on a Christmas/New year WDW/DCL vacation this year (December/January). We are also planning on going to a cruise in March for St. Patrick's day (March 16th) And before we go to THAT one instead of going to WDW before my dad is renting a motor home so we can go around the U.S.A to see ALL the national Monuments and National Parks!

And then THIS cruise will be next!
We haven't booked it YET, because my mom gets a discount if she books the Cruise on the ships your on

Not sure what kind of local sweets to bring from this area, but definitely count me in on a munchie-meet!!

We just returned last weekend from a large family cruise on the Fantasy and it was our favorite cruise and ship yet! We didn't recognize too many of the cast members, except for those in Palo, but everyone we spoke with was friendly and fun. The Western itinerary was better than expected... although it might have been the rum and tequila shop stops on our tours that 'influenced' me...

All my pictures aren't sorted out yet, but a few files have finally been uploaded to a folder on mediafire if anyone wants to see Navigators, port maps, food photos... just click on the cruise link in my signature below. 500+ days is too far away for our next one, but glad to be able to share some laughs with this group until then!

I'm trying to focus on one trip at a time but I just keep getting sidetracked from my planning and looking into the Fantasy, I can't wait to get on this ship seriously if I could afford it I'd be bringing this trip forward a year lol it just looks incredible. My dd keeps getting slightly disappointed when she realises so much of the stuff she's seen onboard doesn't apply to the Magic but I'm glad we'll be doing the smaller ship first.

The sweet meet sounds just my kind of thing

Am going to send a request to the Facebook group, I'm not a big user but hate to miss out x
