Good Morning All​

I would kill to be at the beach right now! Walked outside and it was 23*. I know that's not cold compared to everyone esle but it was 55 yesterday and 66 on Sat.

It is freezing cold here this morning with wind chills at -4*F it is going to be one very cold day walking around reading meters that's for sure. Three to four layers of clothes I'll be wearing today!!!

For Karen and anyone else planning on hanging a fish extender they really like-
I just read on the main board about someone's door magnets and personalized fish extender getting stolen the last night of the cruise. Now, the magnets can usually be reprinted, but the fish extender is not so easily replaceable. A suggestion posted on the main board was to attach the FE to the fish with a plastic tie/zip tie/cable tie like these:

Just a thought - I'd hate for this to happen to any of my BOB friends...

Yes, good idea Jen...I fix mine with a cable tie. Can't be too careful.

If I remember to do it, I'll take some pics tonight of my house here...we're buried. We got over 19 inches last week, and then this pase weekend we got a bit more, but a lot of bitter cold wind, so the snow was blowing all over!

How long until spring???

I am lucky too, anytime I go to a SB store Rob says "Make sure you get what you want" And no matter how much I spend he always says Is that all you got, why didn't you get more??? But he IS the shopper in the family.

It is simple looking(nothing compared to Karen's) but I did make it 2 sided, one side for every day and the other for pirate night. I'm planning on making a different one for BOB. My lungs are actually burning from being out in this freezing cold all morning. Oh to be in Florida right now.........four weeks is not soon enough for me..........

Jen this is the instructions I used , they were on the fish extender thread.

You need 1/4 yard of fabric, iron interfacing, wide double fold bias tape, and a 3/8" dowel 8" long.

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"


Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.


I didn't put interfacing on the pockets, and I didn't put the pleat in, I just cut the pocket to 8 in. I think the pockets are fine with out it.
