Thanks to my fellow W's! :lmao:

Cackle, cackle, cackle ... :rotfl2:

And you even showered her with lottery tickets for good behavior. You didn't give her too many did you?

I think for the whole week she was there with us, we gave her $50 in scratch off lottery tickets ... the daily allotment was $5 per day which would have been $35, but there were some good behavior packets that she earned early on (she was a good sport about going to Victoria and Albert's - I have to be fair).

And I think she ended up winning about $35 - so it was worth it. It might have been the only thing that did make her smile all week. :rotfl2:

You guys are starting to make me worried...Pete's parents have booked for B.O.B., and Pete's sister and family will be putting a deposit down soon also. I am a bit worried they'll want to do everything together, or want to do everything we do because "we've done this before". I'm hoping they'll feel like they can do their own thing most of the time, except maybe for an excursion or two.

You'll probably be ok if they are as nice as you and Pete. My problem is that my family is all like me....full of p!ss and vinegar, bless their hearts.:rotfl:

I read this as "you showered with her lottery tickets." I thought, well of course she was in a bad mood!:lmao:

And for the record, Bendy, your mom and my mom were twins separated at birth, I think. Instead of flowers, my dad brings home scratch offs for her.:rotfl:

Hopefully your parents will be flexible, but what I learned with mine when they traveled to WDW with Jay and me in October 2006 is that you have to stand up for yourself and what you want because it's your vacation, too.

My mother was pretty much determined to have a bad time from the moment she arrived and for the first couple of days I bent over backwards trying to do everything I could think of to put a smile on her face. And then I gave up and said, "screw it - Jay and I are going to go have some fun. You can come with us or you can go watch the Price is Right."

Just for reference ... she opted for the Price is Right. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ah, that's my Grimmie. :goodvibes

We actually asked the family if they wanted to go on KK1 in '07, and they nitpicked everything....alcohol wasn't included (they'd taken their last 2 vacations at all-inclusives in Mexico and were comparing it to that), would there be anything to do, FIL wouldn't get to go sailing, etc....by the time they said no, I was actually very relieved. My mom came on KK1 with a friend, and they had a great time. My mom is booked for BOB also, but her I don't worry about - she "gets" it.

When we came back from KK1 and informed them we had rebooked and told them how much fun we had, I think they realized what they missed and jumped on board for B.O.B. I'm crossing my fingers that all goes well, but I plan to stand my ground when it comes to what we do all day. If I want to go hang out with all my DIS friends, so be it! (By the way, how many parties should we plan?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :woohoo: )

I have so much to do today that I cancelled volunteering at Alex's class...and here I sit dissing. My mom and sister are flying in on Friday afternoon for Emily's confirmation on Saturday, so I am trying to get all my laundry done, housework, too, and I have to get out today and buy Emily's gift. I don't know how I'd do it if I had a real life and real job. I do not know how you ladies with jobs outside the home do it. I tip my hat to you all!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Good morning everyone.

Well it rained again last night but only for a few hours. We are supposed to be clear until Sat. The clouds are supposed to move in and then we are supposed to get rain on Sunday. Go figure during the SuperBowl. Never fails when the FBR open is here is rains. And that is here on the same weekend at the SuperBowl.

You will get it all done without any problems. Use DIS as a reward that is what I do. When I finish cleaning one room I check DIS and post to what I have missed. Then I go clean another room and so on.

Hello all. Well I should have been in bed about 2 hrs ago!! (thanks gang. I am going to blame my lack of sleep and poor production at work tomorrow on y'all) but....

We are a Kruizin with B.O.B!!!!!!!

I was given the big :thumbsup2!!! Now which dinner do we book and can we add the port transfer later? (we are going to book our own airfare and are not sure when we are flying in) Woody (DH) wanted to know this before he booked something.

I'm too excited to sleep!!!!:dance3:    :dance3:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Welcome Shelley!

Glad to hear you've convinced your DH. Please keep posting...we're a chatty bunch, but I can say this is a great group of people to get to know.

As for dinner, if you have any doubts, book 1st dining. It's easy as pie to switch to second dining, since more people want 1st dining, but if you book second and decide you want 1st, you may not be able to switch.

As we get closer to the cruise, we may start talking about linking ressies and getting to sit near each other for dinner...I wasn't in on that for our previous cruise but would love to be in the DIS section for this cruise!

Grimace has actually been dropping comments about taking a cruise with us ... :scared1:

I don't understand ... if she couldn't find anything to do at WDW what the hell is she going to do on a Disney ship???

Could you just see it now ...

"Who are all of these people and how do they know you and Jay? Why are they calling you Benda, Bendy, Oybolshoi, One-legged-Bewb-Flashin-For-Freebies-Brenda? And why do so many people keep asking to have their picture taken with the Grimace? Who is Grimace???"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On that note I must leave ... have a great day everyone! :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes

Actually, I'm just not sure what's going to happen....I hope I'm wrong.

I also hope (and I will have to write down this page# and delete these comments if they ever join the thread) that they enjoy themselves, because if they don't, I'm sure it will be all my fault!

Holy crap, it's only 9:45AM and it's already -33 degrees C and with the windchill it's -47!!!! :cold: :cold: :cold:

Rob went to shower this morning and the pipe was frozen

We're supposed to be in this deep freeze all week :sad2:

Anybody else in a deep freeze?? :crazy2:

Off and on the past two weeks we get the freeze warnings. It is not a deep freeze but it is enough that everyone goes and wraps blankets on their outside pipes.

Ok, now I'm off to clean my coffee of of my computer screen and get busy with this day. Have a great day too Bendy girl! If it gets too stressful today, have a little ROD at lunch, you know rum only drinks!:rotfl2:

You go do your work, I'll go do mine :rotfl:

I'm outta here for a while too, gotta go do my job!

Grimmie :headache: Poor John!

Brenda I hope I am not in the same boat as you in October. I have already warned my family they will be left at the side of the road if they start to act up!

Fancy another disney question?

Insired from Jen's earlier comment -

Whats your favourite character? - apart from Mickey

and is there a charcter you dont like and why?

Personally I dont like any without a "head" - i.e. real people ones, I prefer ones with heads on. Is that wierd?:confused3 :rotfl:

My favourite is Donald

My least favourite is Minnie - she annoys me! - all that head bobbing gets to me. And whenever I've tried to get her autograph she alswyas picks little kids instead  - whats all that about - anyone would think WDW is meant for kids and not grown women clutching an autograph book:rotfl2:

Favorite Character is Mickey, but then Tinkerbell and stitch are close seconds.

Least Favorite is Tiger and the Queen of Hearts. I would like to ring her neck for what she did to my little angle on the cruise.

Thanks a bunch Jen!! DH and I usually eat early about 5:30pm at home because we go to the gym around 8:00pm, but on holiday we eat later to avoid the throngs of people. Good to know about the 1st dining! We would love to break bread with everyone!
