While walking around reading water meters today I took a photo with my camera phone of this Hidden Mickey in one of the resident's driveways.

That is too funny:lmao:

Check out our forecast for this afternoon and tonight:

THE LATEST WEATHER DATA CONTINUES TO INDICATE THE POSSIBILITY OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS ALL OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN MISSOURI
AND SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS TONIGHT. THIS SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT INCLUDES THE POTENTIAL FOR LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS...AND A FEW TORNADOES.

THE ONGOING RECORD AND NEAR RECORD WARMTH ALONG WITH AN ABUNDANCE
OF MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO HAS RESULTED IN FAVORABLE
CONDITIONS FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION. A STORM SYSTEM
ACROSS THE PLAINS WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AND INTENSIFY
TONIGHT...TRIGGERING THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE AREA
DURING THE EVENING HOURS. THUNDERSTORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE WELL INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE
FOR SOME OF THESE STORMS TO BECOME SEVERE.

EVEN THOUGH WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER...PEOPLE SHOULDN'T LET
THEIR GUARD DOWN WHEN CONSIDERING THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER.
THE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS THAT CURRENTLY EXIST ARE MORE TYPICAL
OF SPRING...AND THE STRONG AND VIOLENT THUNDERSTORMS WHICH
ACCOMPANY THAT TIME PERIOD. IT SHOULD BE NOTED...THAT SOME OF THE
MOST VIOLENT TORNADOES THAT HAVE OCCURRED IN THE ST LOUIS METRO
AREA HAVE OCCURRED AT NIGHT DURING THE WINTER.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL ALSO BE OCCURRING
AT NIGHT WHEN MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ASLEEP. THESE STORMS WILL ALSO
BE MOVING VERY FAST...SO THE TIME TO REACT TO A WARNING MAY BE
QUITE SHORT.

PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE REGION ARE URGED TO REVIEW SEVERE WEATHER SAFETY
RULES AND CAREFULLY MONITOR WEATHER DEVELOPMENTS TONIGHT.

I'm going to sound like an old-timer, but I remember December 1981 when we had weather like this and a vicious tornado ripped apart areas in Jefferson County, which borders St. Louis County to the South. About one month later we had a "blizzard" that dumped two feet of snow on the metropolitan area over an 18-hour time-span.

Crazy times here in the armpit of the Midwest, my friends, crazy times.

I caught part of this on my lunch, and thought that this is your part of the country. Isn't this crazy weather. We aren't as warm as you, but we were in the 40's yesterday, which is above normal for us.

Hi Janice! Yes, this very strange weather. I was out at lunch running some errands and it definitely feels like spring out there - super windy and very muggy. I could see the storm clouds building out to the west already.

I hope you guys don't get the tornados, which our TV people said was a possibility.

Thanks - that makes two of us. Well actually three, if you count Jason and I'm pretty sure he doesn't want any twisters, either. ;)

I always get nervous with this kind of weather in the "off-season" because it can be so unpredictable and violent when it does occur. :scared:

So I have a question...

Does everyone in your party get a Castaway Club ID number??? I already have mine from 2 cruises ago but in the mail Friday was the DCL packet addressed to KIRA and had a CC card in her name with a different CC number than mine :confused3

So they sent the Survival Kit to a one-year old and not to the two adults :lmao:

Your lucky to get a card. We don't get anything in the UK and you have to email DCL for our numbers.

Just in case I really stick with my New Years Resolution and exercise in the morning rather than DISing, I'd like to wish:

party: :bday: :cake: Happy Birthday to my Charlie Tuna!:cake: :bday: party:

Happy Belated Birthday Guys.

No way,i almost booked this cruise (out of one of the papers)for me and her who must be obeyed but Jess couldn't keep the twins imprisoned, sorry i mean entertained on them dates...:sad2:
Oh Chris...what a coincidence and a shame.

Size 0, Me? Not in this lifetime!!:sad2:

I was just informed last night that neither I nor Stacy's mom will be invited to the Bachelorette party. :confused3 That's it! I'm puttin' a posse together and crashing it.

Actually, I didn't invite my mom to my party either because, first, we went to a male strip club in Illinois and secondly, she's really no fun. (She's really Grimace's sister). :goodvibes

Reading about Bachelourette parties, got me thinking about Steel Magnolias. Are you going to have a Grooms Cake?

Lovely picture, Heather!! :thumbsup2

But now I've forgotten what T.W.I.T. is supposed to stand for... Traveling with Intoxicated Tourists? Is that right? :confused3

I can't remember Brenda...we'll have to Jeff.

Good morning everyone!

I'll have to finish catching up from the weekend later....

I just wanted to brag a bit to my Bobaloser buddies. I weighed in this mornibng.....down 3.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Ok, gotta go work now:)

Well done Jen.

Harrison is still napping and I just finished putting our photos from the cruise in an album. I just never seemed to get around to it. But it was great looking through all the photos and seeing everyone!!! i took lots of pics of the first meet and the wine tasting. Seeing mike's Big Red shirt again cracked me up!:lmao:

Well, you should of heard me when I saw the Hidden Mickey, that was even funnier that the pic..............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

On a more serious note, just as I was typing the message above our phone started ringing. My brother Pete's girlfriend was calling from the ER in a Jacksonville area hospital. Pete and Marina's 5th month old baby boy had stopped breathing, turned blue and passed out. Please keep mom, dad and baby Charles in your thoughts and prayers. My mom's "friend" Walt had a cornea transplant today, and my mom can't leave him home alone to go to the hospital. When I get updated news, I will post it here.

Here's a funny little story about my Bachelorette Party 28 years ago. We (my bridal party) went to a Male Strip Show in Illinois. After 2 men did their performances, the third one started. I'm looking and looking at this guy and I'm thinking, "Hey, I know this guy". "Where the heck do I know him from?"
All of a sudden it hits me...it was my cousin!!!

I ran right to the ladies room where I stayed until he was done. I went up to him after the show and he was mortified to see me there. I assured him that I made a quick exit and didn't see a thing but one of my bridesmaids wants to date him. :lmao:

It was the best kept secret between me and him and our parents. I still think none of them know anything about it.

Guess there's a new meaning to "kissing cousins". :scared1: :lmao:

Did I just see the birthday boy multi-quote?

"It's my birthday, I can multi-quote if I want to...." Is that how the song goes. :confused3

Happy Birthday to Chuck and to Jeff!!!

:bday: from me too!

:bday: party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF & CHUCK

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS.:bday:

party:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!

party: :bday:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK!

party: :bday: party:

Happy Birthday Charlie Tuna and Jeff!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Guys.

Thanks.

Ewk! - could have been worse..............

it could have been your hubby to be Chuck getting his "tuna" out for all to see:scared1: :lmao: :lmao:

"it could have been your hubby to be Chuck getting his "tuna" out for all to see "

And you would know what about Mr Chuck's "Tuna" Karen?....:rolleyes1

Man, I missed commenting on this one. Thanks for covering me Chris. :thumbsup2

Hey everyone I got an email back from Dreams about a group rate here is what it said:

Hi Becky,

When Dreams Unlimited Travel looks at pricing we compare the group rate versus the current shipboard credit. Since the group rate cannot be combined with ANY Shipboard Credit we look to see what will be the best pricing for our clients.

Because you are all booking so far out, and you have received a double SBC for 2009 bookings, the group rate would be less of a savings for you for if we switched you to a group.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Sincerely

Kelsie Johnson

Dreams Unlimited Travel

Thanks for checking into that Becky.

I'll say it's crazy. Just heard the alert for a Tornado Warning for the southern counties. Rock County (where Jen in was under one earlier) and now Racine (where Victoria lives) is under one. They are tracking an actual tornado right now.

The lights just dimmed here a little while ago.

As for temps, we are in the Mid-50's today.

O.K., the news report just said they had calls from Brown Deer, about 5 miles from my office, that they seen funnel clouds. Nothing confirmed though. Guess I'll go out and look at the sky.

Great Pic Andy!!! I can imagine you're reaction when you saw it.

I had to think of this one as well. I believe it was "Traveling With Intoxicated Tourists".

Sorry to hear this Andy. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Stay safe up there in WI, my friends. :grouphug:

We've got some Tornado warnings out right now in some Southwestern Counties and a big line of storms pushing across the state. Should be a fun night. ;)

Keep us posted, Andy.

Oh no, how horrible Andy :sad1: We are praying for baby Charles and sending lots of pixiedust:!!!

"It's my birthday, I can multi-quote if I want to...." Is that how the song goes. :confused3
That's your story and your sticking to it, two multi quotes in a day.:lmao: Guess you must think that allowed on your birthday.

Thanks for checking into that Becky.
Ditto for me

Okay they say they have spotted a funnel and you feel the need to go outside to SEE:confused3 , do you not remember tornado drills from school?:rotfl:

No updated news on Charles, but I just wanted to let everyone know that is having weather related problems right now, that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am sending some :wizard: your way. I just turned on The Weather Channel.
