Jen do you ever shop at Woodmans. We have a new one not to far from us and they were talking about it on the radio this morning and how much lower their prices are than Pick N Save on some things. I think Al and I are going to Oak Creek tonight to check it out. I was looking up the address and I saw there are 2 Woodmans in Janesville.

Which one is CBR? Where is it located?

Ok, I think I have a disease...I'm starting to ask questions about WDW hotels for a possible trip 2 1/2 years away!!!!:scared1:

CBR = Caribbean Beach Resort. It's an EPCOT resort.

It's called Disneyitis and I have been afflicted since early childhood  When I was in my late teens, I printed a sign out that had the word Disneyitis and it's definition and I hung it on my wall. But I used a scripty font and it didn't look like Disney-itis...my brothers and sisters (who oddly enough don't suffer from the same disease :confused3 ) used to make fun of me and say that I had Disney-*its, cus that's what it looked like with that font...(it's a bad slang word for your chest area, if you can't figure out what letter the * is replacing :rolleyes1 )

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Yep, that must be it....Disney-itis! I was SO bummed when I thought we weren't going to be able to make it to DL this year. We're still only going for 2 days, and it will be SUPER busy, but it should be fun.

And now, I'm planning WDW!

So, can we take a poll among the BOBers...what is your favorite WDW resort/hotel? We don't own DVC, so those don't count ;)

I'm sticking with CBR (although I don't have much to compare it against).:confused3

I am not offering my services because no one is going to have what I work with!!!!!!!!! Let's all be optimistic!!!!! Although I am also a certified x-ray technologist so if anyone can fimd me an x-ray machine I'm more than happy to take a quick look (although I haven't done that since school MANY years ago!)

Thanks Lori. I've been an unwilling recipient of your services and don't care to repeat it anytime soon.

Hi everyone I just got back from the eye doctor a little bit ago so if my typing seems worse than usual its because everything is still very fuzzy looking

Everything turn out ok Cheryl?

Honestly? Yes.

The only thing that doesn't make me feel too upset about it is (aside from the price ticket) the fact that there are so many excursions at the ports we wouldn't have been able to take part in because of their ages. And just imagine what our Flounders bill would have been!!! :scared1:

I have a feeling they'll send one of the older ships (Magic or Wonder) over to CA once the new ships arrive. That will be a REPO perhaps we can join in on.

I guess I didn't know there is an extra charge for Flounders. :confused3

serenity now.serenity now.:grouphug:

not sure how i missed this the other day??:confused3
but congrats miss goose. welcome to the 5000 club. recent members karen and underdog salute you.:worship: :worship: (cass soon to follow. and she"ll probably have a major motion picture ready for us to watch in celebration..)
(lets hope so.):woohoo:

I hope so too. :thumbsup2

Mikey, predictability can be a wonderful thing :goodvibes

Well, it's naptime in this household :wave2:

Have a great day everyone! :thumbsup2

Suz' family shops there. I think they only take cash there. I've never been in one.

now it can be hard enough staying awake on midnite shift, but when you have to sit in a wooden chair and listen to some guy lecture about the evils of drugs for 2 hrs., its unbearable.:headache: :headache:

Actually, there's only one store, and then their corporate headquarters is here also.

And yes, that's where I do practically all of my grocery shopping. They have the best prices in town - here at least. They don't always have the most spectacular produce, but they have a very good selection of everything else.

dang this dis is addictive!!!:lmao:
i told myself i've got stuff to do so i'm just going to pop in real quick.
that was a longgggg real quick.
later gang.:cool2:

Do you have a Brennan's down by you Jen?

Maybe it is in Monroe. They have the BEST produce around.

There's one in Brookfield we go to.

I'm out kids. Got shut down here to go get my crown put on.

How long does that take? He did all the prep work last visit. Can this be done in a half hour? :confused3

You know, I said before that the BOB cruise (when he's in 1st grade) would be the last time I took him out of school for a trip, and mostly because we planned it before he started school at all! But, I may have to bend that one more time for WDW...it would be nice to go when it's not busy.

Jeff, Cheryl, have you done WDW during teacher's convention? Think it would be busier then, or still slow?

The KK cruise was over Teachers' Vacation weekend last year and so is the BOB.

Yes, we've done WDW over that weekend. I didn't find it crowded at all, but did notice a lot of British people there in 2006. The problem is trying to get on the flights. You need to book at 330 days or pay a fortune.

But if you're looking at going during the school year, that is probably the best time.

The other time I'd look is the last week of August. If you can handle the heat, they usually have free dining. The parks were dead too and no one is really leaving WI that time of year - it is the one time you can count on the weather here.

We've gone to WDW over teachers convention weekend a few times and the crowds weren't too bad but it has been a number of years since we've gone at that time other then when cruising. We've also been over Labor Day and the crowds were very low. Another good time is after Thanksgiving until about a week before Christmas, low crowds but it can get cool and also January into the beginning of Feb., again low crowds but can be cool but would still be warmer than here. A freind from work went this year the first week of Feb. and she said they walked right on almost everything, the longest wait they had was 10 minutes and that was unusual.

There's one in Brookfield we go to.

There's a couple of Brennan's in Madison - they are very nice.

We have some other stores that have better produce - Logli's is the one I go to when I want really nice produce.

Our Pick N Save and Sentry in Muskego are both very hit or miss with the produce so I don't think it can be any worse than what I am used to. One man that called in on the radio said his wife and a group of friends go to the new Woodmans every Sat. form Brookfield. He said the savings on groceries is well worth the cost of the gas :thumbsup2

We may need 3. I'll let you know tonight after I talk to Tanya.

Ok, I'll wait to add you to the list on here until you find out from Tanya. I did send her a PM last week with some of the info about this, she had seen us starting to talk about it before she went on her trip and wanted someone to PM her with more info
