dang this dis is addictive!!!:lmao:
i told myself i've got stuff to do so i'm just going to pop in real quick.
that was a longgggg real quick.
later gang.:cool2:

That happens to me all the time too :rotfl: There is no such thing as popping in here real quick.

I think we told DS about KK a couple of weeks beforehand, so he could get excited about it too, but usually we wait until a week or so ahead of a trip to tell him. He gets excited about everything - he even gets excited about getting his hair cut!

Yes, I remember the photo Jen.:cutie: :cutie:

Hi Heather
Is that the site on yahoo.
I have looked at it briefly but dont know what to do?:confused3
Is it raining with you, its still sunny up here but a lot cooler these last few days. Why cant it just last all summer now!

Sean...get Cass to PM you.

Heather its been lovely all day long here and still is. We're just about to go cycling now in the park.

It's been quite windy today and we had rain at lunchtime...but we have sun now.

Everything turn out ok Cheryl?

Yep just a routine eye exam :thumbsup2 My eyesight is still good enough to legally drive without glasses but there are times that I feel like I could use glasses to help with night driving so she gave me a prescription. I'll wait to get it filled until we go visit my sister up north in July. There is an eye glass place in Hayward that you can get glasses cheap compared to here. My whole family waits to get glasses until they are going to visit my sister :rotfl2: Last year we got Rachels glasses up there for under $50.00 and Al got 2 pair for less than $150.00 and that's with bifocals and protective coatings. If Jesse ever needs glasses tell him he should get them when he is up there for the Birkie.

We went back to the garden centre today - Neil and I have been working hard - we've cut back the tree and reshaped it, put in the log roll border and cut the grass. Its looking quite nice now!

When I've mulched it I'll post the before and after shots - hopefully you'll be able to tell which is which:lmao:

Ok, byeeeeeeeeeee...wish me luck with my new saddle:rotfl: - I might not be online much tomorrow - I might not be able to sit down:rotfl2:

We're all off to the duck pond with a loaf of bread. The geese get a bit nasty though and we all run away scared (well, Ellis and I do...Neils just about tough enough to stand still :rotfl2: ) ......til he gets surounded, then he runs away like a big girl:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Any photos of the garden Karen?

The KK cruise was over Teachers' Vacation weekend last year and so is the BOB.

Yes, we've done WDW over that weekend. I didn't find it crowded at all, but did notice a lot of British people there in 2006. The problem is trying to get on the flights. You need to book at 330 days or pay a fortune.

October in UK has a week's break for the schools and that's why WDW has a lot more brits visiting. It's what is called half term. The flights also increase in $$$

Becky, can we see some more DL pics??? :goodvibes That view you had was amazing!!! One day I would like to stay there. My brother went to DL last year and called me to ask where he should stay. It was a business trip so he had some cash to spend so of course I told him the GC! He said it was gorgeous!!!

You could do with Becky and Sean's photo for the BOb site.:thumbsup2 :lovestruc :rotfl:

Is it the same week every year?

me too. I could just live there. I always joke about getting a job there with Walt. Diane

Yeah, Alex told us she was going to work there after college. She wants to be a dream person!!!! And she waid we had to move there too. I am fine with that.:thumbsup2

I always say that some day I am going to work at WDW! I'm just not sure when that some day will be, not soon enough

Is it the same week every year?

Roughly last week in October, but Brits tend to take an extra week either side to get a longer vacation. This means that they have to take their children out of school for an extra week.

I am not offering my services because no one is going to have what I work with!!!!!!!!! Let's all be optimistic!!!!! Although I am also a certified x-ray technologist so if anyone can fimd me an x-ray machine I'm more than happy to take a quick look (although I haven't done that since school MANY years ago!)

Lori do you need to keep your X-ray certification for your job? I haven't taken an X-ray in over 20 years :scared1: and I let my X-ray certification drop a few years ago when they started requiring CMEs, they require more CMEs than I need to keep my ultrasound registry so after all these years I let it drop and just keep the ultrasound certification.

Becky....our disappoontment is over...Donny cancelled. They have Joey Fatone now. I've never heard of him...is he any good?:)

had to sit through a 2 hr seminar on drug awareness at work last nite.
now it can be hard enough staying awake on midnite shift, but when you have to sit in a wooden chair and listen to some guy lecture about the evils of drugs for 2 hrs., its unbearable.:headache: :headache:
i just closed my eyes and went to my happy place.....:wizard:
thought about robin and i on the cruise....dis friends...:grouphug: ..
robin and i at wdw...:wizard: robin and i on the beach at castaway cay....
robin and i at clearwater beach...cinnamon and i at...(wait!!how'd that get in there) :lmao:

Typical Mikey. :lmao:

 3 months and we're going no where!!

...almost wet my pants when I read this!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Which brings up a question actually....what age is a good age for kids to get the most out of WDW?

40 years old is perfect:thumbsup2

I just spoke with the woman from the Radison again. She can block however many rooms we think we might need at this time at the $109.00 + tax rate and then we have until 6 weeks before hand to make our individual reservations (she said the date for that would be Sept. 11, 2009). When I get back to her on how many rooms to block she will send me a "contract" including the code that I would then forward on to the people on the list for you to each make your own individual reservations at the group rate. The cancellation policy is the same as their normal cancelation policy, you must cancel by 6pm the day of arrival but in order to maintain the group rate we need to have at least 10 rooms that get reserved. Right now according to the list I have we are at 14 rooms but there were a few more that were "possibles". I don't know if any of the "possibles" want me to include them in the block and then they'd have time to figure out what they want to do. I told her I'd check on this with you guys again and call her back again in a few days. If we block 20 rooms and then only 15 of us reserve the other rooms that are not reserved go back into their system on Sept. 11, 2009 and that rate would be gone for any BOBers that didn't reserve.
I'll post the list I have again. If I am forgetting anyone or anyone else wants to be added as a "definite" let me know or Cass also has the info on her site and I'll keep monitoring the list on there too. If any of you are thinking there is a good chance you would want to stay at the Radisson the night before let me know in the next few days so that we include enough rooms in the group block that you'd then be able to get in on this rate.

I hope all this makes sense :goodvibes

Here's the list of BOBers that have said they want to stay at the Radisson the night before the cruise:

Mike & Robin (2 people, 1 room)
Jeff (3 people, 1 room)
Cass (6 people, 2 rooms)
Nancy (2 people, 1 room)
Tony & Stacy, Jesse & Kristin (4 people, 1 room)
Andy (3 people, 1 room)
Andy's mom (2 people, 1 room)
Joanne (2 people, 1 room)
Cheryl (4 people, 1 room)
Shelley (2 people, 1 room)
Chris & Lynn (2 people, 1 room)
Walt & Di (2 people, 1 room)
Sean & Cath (3 people, 1 room)

Cheryl, go ahead and add us (Rob & Paige, 1 room) and our friends (Dave & Giap, 1 room) but we are a "maybe" because we may stay at WDW Friday.:thumbsup2

Are you really ever to old to enjoy the Magic?

DS still believes (he's 8). Not sure how much longer that will go.

I would say do one nice long trip the first time you take him and take it all in. Then you could do multiple shorter trips later, hitting just the highlights. That's what we did/do. I do want to get back though for another long trip there.

I'm not too old to enjoy the Magic and I never will be! We took Rach to WDW the first time when she was 18 months and we have been back to WDW or Disneyland or DCL every year since. It has been fun to see it through her eyes at all the different stages and she still enjoys the Magic even now when she is 14! Just the other day we were talking about our upcoming trip in Dec. and we were both saying how much we can't wait to be at WDW again!
