Andy, off-hand, do you know the going rate to rent points from someone? Suz had someone at work who was offered a week at OKW for $1,000 over Halloween. It is only 82 points at that time, so over $12 per point.

I thought it was more in the neighborhood of 10 I told Suz.

The funny thing is it is the guys in-laws offering it to him at such a great price. Sounds like something my in-laws would do. :sad2:

I know when I've been researching to buy a DVC, the price comes up around $7.50 a point when I take the cost of the contract, add the closing cost, divide by the number of years left and the number of points and then add the current year's maintenance. I figure the extra $2.50 that people are getting is to get something out of the deal. But come on, one of the people going is the owners daughter.

I've seen on the rent/trade forum, points are renting between $10-$12 dollars in general.

Well kids, I'm going to sign off and head home. Talk to y'all later.

Almost 10 pages today. Getting somewhat back to normal I see. :thumbsup2

That's because it is April 16th Jeff!!! ;) ;) ;)

Come on Rose. Economic Stimulus Package money is coming next month. Use it to book the BOB. :cool1:

Over $3000 to rent a car, drive down to Florida, rent a hotel room for 8 nights during orientation, drive back home, hotels down, hotel back, visiting friends, food, entertainment, GAS!.....

New, used car just a week ago....

Need I say more? That check we're getting is already being accounted for in the trip and also $1000 laptop graduation gift!:headache:

I want to go....

I want to just charge it:woohoo:

But Bob keeps talking me out of it and making me feel poor and guilty for even thinking about it.....

should I replace Bob:rotfl: ?

Just kidding.;)

What does that have to do with it, were you all on strike?

Or are you saying I talk to much? :confused3 :rotfl:

Just saying you were missed around here a lot until today.........;) :lmao: ;) :lmao: ;)

Still, that is for people you don't know. I would say $10 on the high-end for a friend and maybe a $1 or so less for a relative. If I had no burning desire.......(the doctor told me this will pass)............(Oh wait, wrong topic)............(guess that was TMI)...........I would give it to a relative at cost. If it were my kid, it would be FREE!

O.K., then how about Granny Clampet up in the rocker of Jethro's car. At least they'd still be in the car. :rotfl2:

Love it!!! Side by side rockers, one for DW, one for ST!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So Rose, you get a new car yet?

Yup!
Nissan Altima 2005.
I really like it! It drives so smoothly, well, of course it is automatic.....
my honda civic si was standard, so duh

And you wouldn't believe, that we sold my car to the first person who looked at it! For exactly what we were asking!

Then we got 12 more calls before the people came and picked up the car.
Gosh, we should have sold it to the highest bidder!:rotfl:

Of course, my son is sad. He really wanted my old car. It was COOL! But I told him he'd have to pay me for it if he wanted it, I couldn't afford to give it away.

He thinks the new car is LAME..... because it's automatic and it looks like an old person's car:rotfl:

So if I read that in a certain way, I was missed until I opened my mouth, and now, as of today, I'm not/wasn't missed. ;) :rotfl:

So does this mean everyone else who hasn't posted in a while will come out of the woodwork now?

The Altima's are cool. They are very sporty for a 4-door. The only sportier mid-size 4-door would be the Mazda 6.

Did it come with a trunk of Diet Coke? :rotfl2:

You know, I probably could get passed her shortly and if enough of us are on tonight, we could get this thing closed before she even wakes up. :scratchin

Nope, I told ya I'm still a Pepsi drinker!
I turned down the free case of Coke that came along with the car:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
