10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #27

I don't think we have ever ordered room service over all the times we've cruised.

I would like to take more evening walks up on deck 10 than we have the last couple cruises.

One thing that we keep missing is the big dessert party that they have in Ariel's one night on the cruise. We forgot and arrived just when it was ending. I also plan to get to that "secret" deck area on the aft end of the ship. You know, the one that is really hard to find unless you wander among the aft cabins. I have also seen some YouTube videos of someplace where you can see inside the kitchen area. through a window or porthole. Does anyone know where that is?

I have a great memory of one night that Megan (DD 11) and I went up on Deck 10 forward of the basketball court. It was very dark, and very windy because we were skirting a storm. In that location, it was like standing on the edge of nothingness (yes I know that's not a word). Even with the wind, it was one of the most peaceful feelings that I have known. You could just make out the bow and the waves beyond as we made our way across the Atlantic. It was our last night on the return to Port Canaveral from Castaway Cay. It must have been after midnight and we were still wandering the ship, as you say, savoring ever moment.

I don't like all the foo foo foods, but could judt eat dessert the whole week!!

When they have those little short buffetts with finger foods outside Rockin Bar D, I don't usually eat them.

I'm allergic to shrimp and the people who work there never seem to know if there's seafood in anything. So I probably miss out on a lot of good stuff.

Walt & Di were right there with us. As a matter of fact, I seem to remember Lori's Scott & Paige and Rob closing Rockin Bar D a couple of nights too.

I know what you mean....I have a pic of our daughter, who was about 15 at the time, goofing around with Mike, holding hands with their fingers interlocked. It's my favorite pic.

Now she's 22 and married. They grow up too fast.

It stinks because I love it!!! I was making shrimp cocktails one time. By the time I was finished my arms were all blotchy from the juice.

That does stink, I order it every meal possible. They used to make coconut shrimp but I havn't seen that on a menu in a long time!!

It sent me to the hospital one time. The Dr said it may or may not happen again. Mike says, the next time I try it, I better be sitting in the hospital parking lot.

WOW I'm impressed! Thread #27...what an accomplishment. You all are going to have a blast. I'm shocked to hear njprincess and tikimimi and tikimack aren't going. I thought in the beg. they all were. I was going to try and take my mom for her bday (10/24) but we ended up taking so many for my bday in Aug. that DH said no. Now counting down to next Members Only cruise. You all have a Blast on the B.O.B and think of me. I'll be with you all in spirit..those that know me and those that don't.
