WOW I'm impressed! Thread #27...what an accomplishment. You all are going to have a blast. I'm shocked to hear njprincess and tikimimi and tikimack aren't going. I thought in the beg. they all were. I was going to try and take my mom for her bday (10/24) but we ended up taking so many for my bday in Aug. that DH said no. Now counting down to next Members Only cruise. You all have a Blast on the B.O.B and think of me. I'll be with you all in spirit..those that know me and those that don't. :goodvibes

Yes, we are only six now from the member cruise last year. Dan & Nancy, Tom & Leisha, and Roger & I. This is a very fun group so we are so looking forward to it.

I am going to call it a night, it was nice chatting Robin!!

Cool! I'm going to Vegas Oct. 14th...maybe if DH hits it big he'll say we can go...:lmao: I guess that would depend on if it's sold out or not. :lmao:

One thing that we keep missing is the big dessert party that they have in Ariel's one night on the cruise. We forgot and arrived just when it was ending. I also plan to get to that "secret" deck area on the aft end of the ship. You know, the one that is really hard to find unless you wander among the aft cabins. I have also seen some YouTube videos of someplace where you can see inside the kitchen area. through a window or porthole. Does anyone know where that is?

I have a great memory of one night that Megan (DD 11) and I went up on Deck 10 forward of the basketball court. It was very dark, and very windy because we were skirting a storm. In that location, it was like standing on the edge of nothingness (yes I know that's not a word). Even with the wind, it was one of the most peaceful feelings that I have known. You could just make out the bow and the waves beyond as we made our way across the Atlantic. It was our last night on the return to Port Canaveral from Castaway Cay. It must have been after midnight and we were still wandering the ship, as you say, savoring ever moment.

Matthew

Matthew - you should be a poet!!! I love your descriptions in the last paragraph!!!

Now I'm even more excited!!!!

Looks like I missed you guys tonight - were chatty for a while!

I'm about to head to bed - I couldn't keep my eyes open most of the day.

Tomorrow is Abby's back to school night (Middle school). Can't wait to go and meet her teachers!

Finished watching Glee and laughed super hard!!!!!!

Talk to you all later!!

Heather- LOVE the Algae's blog - can't wait to read more of it!!!!

I started to get seriously sleep deprived after day 5. How are you supposed to lay around and sleep when there is so much to see and do? BTW, who has ordered cookies and milk at midnight in their cabin? :cloud9: The girls loved that!

Matthew

Walt and I have. Plus we have ordered the Mickey ice cream bars. Woo Hoo. Can't wait. Diane

Well folks - my first attempt at a totally homemade curry was a total success - it was delicious!:yay:

One of the nicest curries I've ever had:yay:... I'm not boasting because my friend did most of it, but oh my goodness - it was georgous. I made chicken curry and bombay potatoes with rice and peas.

I just hope my next batch on my own is just as good:rolleyes1

Yumm. Douglas absolutely adores curry. Shoot me the recipe if you get a chance. Mine isn't very creative.

Yes, ma'am!:thumbsup2 Lori will have to fill her stomach full of dramamine so she can join in as well.

Lori needs to get Bonine. It makes you less sleepy. I do both. bonine and ear patch and I am fine. We will be at Rockin Bar D with everyone else. Be there or be square.

I don't think we have ever ordered room service over all the times we've cruised.

Funny story- the only time I ordered room service, I was 6 weeks pregnant. My morning sickness started on the last day of our cruise and all I could fathom eating was plain potato chips. So I ordered a big plate of them at about 9 'clock in the morning.

Hello my wife and 2 kids 7 and 2/3( she turns 3 on the ship)are cruiseing with all of you. I was wondering without reading all the threads on here are any of you doing a cabin to cabin trick or treat. We did this a few years ago and it was fun. I didn't know since we come back halloween day.

Welcome! Join the crowd. My husband is Douglas and I am Gina and my son, Sean is also 7.

Well - it's a bunch of LEADERS doing the camping this weekend - no kids allowed (YAY!!!!) But I think that pillowfighting is an ESSENTIAL part of girl scouting... right up there with selling cookies!!

Which reminds me of a funny picture someone sent me yesterday...

Funny! I love GS cookies. Now I will be obsessing about them all night.

Sorry, to hear that Chaz. I'll give a word to the Big Guy for you.

Thanks; I really appreciate that. I kinda fell to pieces for a few days, but dug myself out of that hole in a hurry! I know something better is going to turn up!

Ahhh a fellow Scout Leader!! we may have to break out the secret handshake! :lmao:

We read somewhere that ginger does the same thing, and Teresa was queasy on our first cruise. Every one since then, we take two or the boxes of Little Debbie gingerbread cookies. She hasn't had any problems on the other cruises since we started doing that.
