Nite Mike. Nite Chris. Bedtime for me. See you both tomorrow.

Karen are y'all doing Paradise Point Thingy on your own or with DCL?

In may it was cheaper $18.00 from DCL and $21.00 at the window. We bought them through DCL, just one less thing to worry about. It is an easy walk.

Ok Mike - you STINK!!! You have me looking at the MNSSHP now! :-) :lmao:

I think I have talked myself into wanting to go, now just got to see if Dave will come with!!

Chris - did you book your room by yourself through Disney's website or call them directly?

Yeah!!!! It really is a lot of fun.

Yeah I have always been curious about the mods as well. We have always stayed in a value, but I really like the theming at Port Orleans Riverside. The price difference over the value for the one night was only $22 so I decided to go with the mod. I figure since we are there for a good part of the day, we will have a nice pool, water sports (I might rent a boat), and we will probably take the boat to DTD for lunch. I am thinking T-Rex or Rain Forest Cafe. The CM I talked to said I could make ADR's tomorrow, so I might make that choice even this evening.

If we stayed a week, which is what we are planning for our next trip, I would really like to stay somewhere other than a value, so this will wet our appetite a little bit. I have a feeling Elaine will like it and think it is worth the extra $$. If not, then back to the All Stars we will go. I could be kicking and screaming though!!! :lmao:

We stayed at the french quarter last year, the rooms are no better than the allstar and it's older. The pools are pretttier and there is not as many people.

The price difference was very negligible ($22), and we chose to stay there for the reasons you mention. Since we are there all day, having a better pool is ideal and the location and boat ride to DTD will be convenient too.

Now I will be calling for ADR for T-Rex tomorrow morning!

Hi everyone. Back from lunch and it was really good! Kathy, Fr. Frank, and their folks are delightful people and it was so nice to meet them. The Master Guns (MstGySgt-her dad's rank before retirement) had a few stories for us and so did Mrs. Fran, his wife. She was in the USMC at one time, too. Wow, to say you knew Chesty Puller (famous Marine) is awesome! We took a couple of pictures, (well, they did because I didn't have my camera with me) and I think they are putting them right on Facebook. Hopefully Kathy will post them here when she returns home from her trip, since I am not doing Facebook.

Have a great evening all!:goodvibes

Glad you all had a nice visit:goodvibes:grouphug:

Cyprus - Paphos - lots of history and lots of cocktails (not neccessarily in that order:rotfl2:)

Is that somewhere around Greece?:confused3

I'm bad with geography.

It's an island correct?

How long you going for and what do you have planned to do there?
(besides drink!)

Yay!:woohoo::yay:

I was thinking about it Rose. Need to remember to bring some comfy clothes. Won't do the cycle class though.

No, I'm not into that either.
That would be cool to have an exercise buddy!
(to help keep off the pounds we'll gain from the cruise)

I must remember....next February.....don't get Sean angry. We won't like him when he's angry!:thumbsup2;):rotfl2:

Yet know that you will be very very safe in the big city. He knows the roads and he carries a sig saur legally.

This blasted rain!!!!

I had to run to the office and get the shop vac out and clean up some water in our basement multi-purpose room.
