Congrats Robin! It'll be nice to see you online more now!

MG, if you're still here....

Do you happen to know if sunscreen goes "bad" or is less effective over time? I'm just wondering if my sunscreen from last summer is ok or if I need to buy new bottles?

I read that it does get less effective over time. I always consider eg the factor 50 from last year now as a factor 25. Fine for over here in summer, but no good for the caribbean etc Halve the factor on the bottle and use it up that way:thumbsup2

Thank you for the help. I think I figured it out. I am not as dumb as I thought I was. Lol. Well, maybe I am.

Your googley looks a little lonely Chris - you need to win another:rotfl:

That's what I thought, and I usually do.

Is no-ad brand usually pretty good? Do you have any recommended brands? I haven't done research in a while....

We use no-ad - very good:thumbsup2 One of the few we CAN put on Ellis withour causing his allergy to flare up. Jen - I'd buy your suncream later in the year.... stores might have last years stocks... wait til July Aug etc when they are bound to have replenished stock with more current prioduct:thumbsup2

There is a way of checking dates by the bar code, but I'm not sure how. Google it :confused3 You never know, everything else is on there:rotfl:

I have a prescription sun-block Jen, but for my face I use ONLY Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock...spf 45. Then I use Bare Minerals spf 30 Natural Sunscreen on top of that.

Really though, according to my Oncologist anything after spf 45 is a marketing gimmick. The key is to lather it on and re-apply often.:thumbsup2

It also helps to wear a hat. :cutie:

I always wear a hat. That is good to know about the spf45.

Not sure if you can get them over there, but we have plaster type stickers over here, that you put on a hat etc. Cover with suncream when you apply to your own body. Gradually the design on the sticker fades and it tells you its time to reapply.:thumbsup2 We used them on Ellis as a toddler, stuck them to the top of his hat, then reapplied as necessary:thumbsup2

Good morning Steve.

good morning, I'm just getting ready to head out the door for another crazy day at work.

The other day we had a patient run out the ambulance bay wearing nothing but an open backed patient gown.... Jump into an ambulance and started to drive away. Luckily about 4 of us saw her go and jumped into the open rear doors and pulled her out after hitting the emergency brake.

Ya just can't make this stuff up!
