I know AirTran is very big in MKE, so I have a question for you cheeseheads. How is the flying experience with AirTran? I have wanted to try them, but it never worked out. I was always a Delta guy, but their flight times stink for the 3 airports I was looking to fly out of.

I did pay the $6 per person for seat assignments. I figured that I didn't want us to get separated having small children, and we are in the row behind my parents.

We really like them and they are our airline of choice now.

I definitely would pay the $6 for the seat assignments. Even if you're all on the same record locator/confirmation, they will separate you. Best to be guaranteed together.

They have really big overhead bins. You can put a 21" suitcase in there the long way. More room for people.

They also have XM Satellite radio at all the seats.

The one big downfall with AT is that they do move their schedule a lot. So don't get too "married" to the times you have right now. Most likely, they will shift it. I've had little shifts (up to 45 minutes) to huge ones once (a few hours). We're actually hoping they move the non-stop from MKE-MCO back to around 5:30/6:00 so we can try to get off our connecting flight.

I think once you've flown them and see how cheap their fares can get, you'll fly them again.

That's it for me for now, turning the laptop off and packing it away. I might sign-on from MCO, will have to see how much time we have once we get to our Southwest gate.

Bye for Now.........:wave2:

At least you won't have to pay for it there. :thumbsup2

(I though they had free wi-fi at MCO)

Thats good to know. We have decent seats in row 14 and 15 on the plane. We sat on the side with two seats. One of us will sit with one kid in row 14, the other with the other kid in row 15.

That works best if you're flying with 4. They only have 2x3 or 3x3 seating. If you were on one of the 737's, you probably would have had to do all of one side and then the isle seat across.

We always go for the front of the plane (well, as far front as we can get - they block those first 3-4 rows of coach always. In fact, the seats they normally block are really weird. On the 737's they'll block the middle seat on the left side of the plane. Don't get that).

Haven't done their Business Class yet, but Suz and DS will have 4 credits each after the cruise and that is good for a one-way upgrade. We may try it on an upcoming flight (I'll want it to be at least 3-4 hours though). I have about 42 credits right now. Trying to get to 48 for 3 round-trip flights. I may go over to get 4 extra credits so we can all upgrade on one flight.

We just have to drive further to our departure airport. My parents home is about 190 miles north of us. Our flights leave early afternoon on Friday the 23rd, so we will leave to go to Maine after school on Thursday. It will be nice to sleep in as long as we can, eat a quick lunch, then head to the airport around noon. The good thing is, the flight times are great, we have free accomodations and free parking!

Coming home our flight gets in at 3:30, so we should be home by 8:00 PM at the latest

I feel the same way. I am on :cloud9: today!

Its getting more exciting:dance3:

Elaine had highlights added to her hair last night. I think it looks really good.

Looks good! - I'm growing my hair back into a bob. I had it in a bob for years then went really short, I've just started growing it again...women! - fickle bunch arent we:rotfl:

Good morning all.

Looks like you are all busily getting things organized for the trip. How exciting.

Morning Carrie:goodvibes

Well, I did my research for car hire:banana:

I think Budget works best for us, but I need to check - Does anyone know what road are all the car rental companies on by the port????

I had the choice of 2 in Cape Canaveral - I dont want to pick the wrong one!:rolleyes1

Not a bad price though:banana: The day we get off we need a car for the day - its only $30:banana:

The week before the cruise will be $180:banana:

Thats got to be cheaper than having it for 2 weeks and paying parking charges on top at the port:banana:

ok, where is everybody:confused3

Are you all out partying?... if so, wheres my invite:sad1:

Talk to me people...I'm lonely:sad1:

Karen,

The code for the Budget location at Port is CC5. I believe it is on North Atlantic.

Are you booking through that UK site? I think the other location is for Avis. I know AFEG sent me that site and it gives you two locations, but doesn't tell you who it is.

What size car are you taking after the cruise? $30 is a really good rate. That's US$, not Pounds, correct?

I hope you're not expecting much:rolleyes1... I've ran out of ideas:rotfl:

Maybe you should leave it at 7999 until tomorrow and take the night to think about it.

However, here's one for you:

I have finally come to my 8000th post,
I'm doing a poem because I request them the most.
But now for the rules, I will amend,
And milestone poems will come to an end.
Works for me. :rotfl:
