They jumped a little in the past week. Good thing with rental cars, you can continously rebook those for a cheaper rate. I'm locked now, but check every couple of weeks.
I got a decent deal with Budget pre cruise...$50 for a day in a full size. When I checked Budget post cruise, I almost had a stroke! They wanted $175 for a day for a full size!!!:scared1: I went with Avis and got a full size for $95 for a day.

Well, we have our airfare booked! I decided to travel with my parents out of Portland, Maine. We have direct flights, great times, and the price came to about $220 per person. We won't have to pay to park since my parents live so close to the jetport in Portland. For some reason they call the airport there, jetport. It must have been a sixties thing.

We are flying JetBlue down and AirTran back. I am excited since I have always wanted to fly JetBlue and it just never worked out for us.

Now to look at rental cars!

Hey, that's great! What day & time are you going? We're going on the 22nd in the afternoon, around 2:00 I think. Wouldn't it be great to all be on the same flight. We haven't booked our return flight. What Air tran one did you get?

We got a really good rate with Budget after the cruise. I'd have to look it up, but we even went with a mid-sized SUV (Ford Escape or similar).

As for before the cruise, our problem is coming in Wednesday night. It is not the "weekend" yet (have to wait until Thursday for that). We may take the Magical Express to WDW and then get a car from Avis or Budget at a hotel near Downtown Disney, but those rates have sky rocketed for some reason.

I have faith that they will come back down again though. Those things move more than airfares or hotel rooms. :sad2:

Could you fly out of Boston? Not sure how close you are to that airport but you could get a direct to MCO from there and it maybe less expensive.

We didn't go out of Boston because it's a 2 hour drive & an overnight if we did the early morning flights. Cheaper is not always cheaper in the long run. But it certainly is an option. We got Jet Blue from Portland direct flight.

We are flying down on the 1:50 direct flight on JetBlue on the 23rd. Coming back we are on the 12:37 AirTran Direct to Portland. The price was very good on that one, and after being at MNSSHP till midnight or so, sleeping in a little bit will be nice! :thumbsup2

Scott and I are looking at employment adds for him to pick up a part time job. This is a line that we found in one of them.

I have only stayed at the Values. I would like to try a moderate or deluxe sometime just to see how they compare.

We have stayed at the All Star Sports and Pop Century. Elaine would like to try All Star Movies sometime.

One of my best vacations was in 1996. It was just before I went to Salvation Army Officer Training School. We all went together as a family and stayed a week at the All Star Sports. My sister and I still talk about that vacation as being one of, if not the best vacations for our family.

We got up early, ate breakfast in the food court. Every morning I had two chocolate milks and two donuts. We would pick a park, spend the morning and eat lunch there. We then went back to the hotel to rest and swim, then picked a park for the evening. We didn't drive the car all week and relied solely on Disney Transportation. From the All Stars, we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. It was great!

When we stay at the All Stars or Pop Century we really enjoy the food court. Sometimes I would buy a box of donuts at the gift shop and get coffee and chocolate milk and we eat back at the room. We sometimes at night ordered a pizza (whole). It was good. Diane

It's sad but true, the day has come that we have to gather our belongings and head back north. We have a very nice time here in Florida,
but all good things must come to an end I guess. :rolleyes1

We had a nice visit with my mom and Walt yesterday. My mom selected the Backyard Boys BBQ Grill & Restaurant for her and Walt's
birthday dinner. It was a nice place with good food. After dinner we went back to their house, chatted a bit, had some ice cream for dessert,
then it was time to get checked in online with Southwest for our flight home this evening. Did a little better checking in this time as we
received Boarding Passes A21-A22-A23. :goodvibes

Have a happy Thursday everyone, will try to catch up a little if I can on the thread. ;)

Here is a pic of my lunch at Fuddruckers....

It was good!

Looked good too Chris.

I had my camera with me last nigt when we went out for dinner, but completely forgot to take a food porn pic of my Broiled Shrimp dinner, My Bad..........

:lmao: Too funny. He pops in a lot, usually with a bunch of guys looking for a tool in the garage or for a snack. We just moved closer to his office and it takes him less than a minute to get there.

This gets better and better! - you get a "bunch of guys" arrive at home:eek: ... ok, one needs to do laundry, one the vaccumuming and one the ironing. Others can be deployed into the garden to learn the art of weeding and mowing:thumbsup2 .... you (of course) must stand there looking beautiful and supervise said activities whilst sipping a fruity cocktail..(lifes hard as a woman, but someone has to supervise the men;) ):lmao:

Well done! - great price:thumbsup2 - I'm jealous:rolleyes:

Throw Suz into that club too. She's 3 1/2 years older than me. Based on how the b-days fell, she graduated 4 years ahead of me. So when she was a senior, I was only in 8th grade (we didn't meet until 7 years later though). I don't let her forget that.

You toyboys need controlling.... see above post to Dee:rotfl2:

Can someone give me the link to tips for the cruise? (or even better - know the total for everyones tips for the week?)

I'm trying to budget everything and get things sorted.

We're all up now... I'm off to hunt through the garden centres again for plug plants again this morning.

Have a great day peeps:goodvibes

Thanks Andy:thumbsup2 .... I cant remember how much OBC we have, but I'm hoping to clear most of the tips with my OBC:thumbsup2

I'm just researching car parking at Manchester airport at the moment - I have found an onsite T2 carparking for £92:yay: .... thats a saving of £347!!!!!!:yay: ... just checking now if I can walk or whether we still have to get a shuttle. Its the same terminal we fly from so I'm hoping we can just walk it! If so I'll book it quickly!
