It was when Erika my youngest daughter and I went to Disney World for the first time. (around 14 years ago) We were spoiled rotten by Walter. We stayed at the Poly and we did at least 3 character meals, Hoop dee Loop (sp), Lua. We were there for a week. Erika was going in the 9th grade and she really had a good time with all the characters. Then the second favorite was when we stayed at the Contemporary with Kristen my oldest daughter, Erika, Asiah and Elijah. Our balcony looked out to Magic Kingdom. It was Kristen's first trip to the world. We did it up well. It was great staying on the monorail. We went to at least 3 character meals, Luah, Ohana, Hoop dee Loop. Again another great trip. Forget it all our trips to Disney World were fantastic and memorable. We are always spoiled there and do whatever we want and eat whatever we want. Walt and I have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Swan, Dolphin, Wilderness Lodge, Carribean Beach Resort, Pop Century, All Star Sports, Music and Movies. We have done it all. My last trip with Asiah and Elijah was fantastic too. We spent 7 days and did everything we wanted many times. Lots of fun. It was just me and the kids. We were special guests at the Garden Grill. We were first family of the day. The characters and waitresses treated us like royalty. Speaking of royalty we have eaten at the Cinderella Castle a few times. Very nice. Kids and Grandkids enjoyed. I could go on forever. Disney World is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. Sorry for going on and on. I guess I really don't have only one memorable moment at Disney World. Diane
That sounds incredible. You have a lot of experience at the world. What is your favorite resort?

Walt and my favorite resort is the Contemporary. We love the monorail convenience. We also like the balcony where we can look out at Magic Kingdom. I do like the Value Hotels too. The buses run quite well from them. We don't spend too much time in the hotels. We get up early, eat breakfast and leave for the parks. We close the parks. We get back to the hotel for a late nite swim and then take shower and go to bed for another early rise. Diane

I have only stayed at the Values. I would like to try a moderate or deluxe sometime just to see how they compare.

We have stayed at the All Star Sports and Pop Century. Elaine would like to try All Star Movies sometime.

One of my best vacations was in 1996. It was just before I went to Salvation Army Officer Training School. We all went together as a family and stayed a week at the All Star Sports. My sister and I still talk about that vacation as being one of, if not the best vacations for our family.

We got up early, ate breakfast in the food court. Every morning I had two chocolate milks and two donuts. We would pick a park, spend the morning and eat lunch there. We then went back to the hotel to rest and swim, then picked a park for the evening. We didn't drive the car all week and relied solely on Disney Transportation. From the All Stars, we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. It was great!

Since Nancy G ran out of Questions of the Day, I will get my creative juices flowing and take over. If MG doesn't mind...

What is your first memory of Walt Disney World or Disneyland????

Mines slightly different...

I remember getting a map off some food company as a freebie. You had to buy the product to get stickers to stick in the empty squares of the rides. My mom bought loads trying to get that darned map filled up:rotfl:
I dreamed of one day visiting:cloud9:

We didnt actually visit WDW til 1993 when we went and got married out there. Then in 1994 we did DL.

I'm wayyyyy behind again... but I have to jump in and agree with the above!

I've been a Johnny Depp fan since "21 Jump Street"! and his original Jack Sparrow look was awesome!

I can't think of anyone to suggest personally...but my girls would love any of the Disney Channel stars, I'm sure!

I liked 21 Jump Street too. The guy who created 21 Jump Street lives near us and our 7 year olds are good friends. He is a really nice guy and his wife is super nice. Both are very down to earth type people.

I am thanks! I think I just needed a really good night sleep.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. :thumbsup2

I also had one of those cool Donald hats that squeaked when you squeezed the beak.

I had one of those Donald hats too. I was just talking about it with my dad a few days ago. I loved that hat. :goodvibes

Here is a pic of my lunch at Fuddruckers....

I think it is amazing no matter how many time I have been to Magic Kingdom I still get goose bumps. :lovestruc

I was just on expedia doing my regular flight search. The fares on Delta from Hartford have come down a little bit. They are now down to $290 or so, but I noticed the $200 fares from Boston have crept up to $235. I just checked flights from Providence ($235 or so), but only Southwest flies direct to Orlando from there. If I can avoid a connection, I would like that.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY

Nancy is off to sub today. So she has left me a list as usual.

When I do my Spring job in May at the Fish Way I will have to find something for her:lmao: :lmao: .

Everybody have a great day

Dan
