Now that you mention that, I do remember reading that. The train should do just fine in the snow, and it stops right at the TD Banknorth Garden.

I will keep all my fingers crossed for you. Hope the snow is not too bad.

You got that right Chris the problem we will have is when we get back to Portland at 1:30 AM and we confront a foot of snow. Thats why im taking my plastic snow scoop in to put in the Patroit.
Im glad we have 4 wheel drive.

I will keep all my fingers crossed for you. Hope the snow is not too bad.

The way there talking now Joanne we here in Brunswick are on the 10 to 15 inch line for snow. In fact I still have about 8 inches on my roof so after this next one I will have to get off the roof. At my age we don't climb roofs so I will have to pay:sad2::sad2:.
Hey girl you keep warm in that Florida Sun im about to go out to do my 30 min walk and it's +15

Hate to hear that Andy, but somehow it makes vacation even more fun when you find out they're having lousy weather at home.

All I can say is WOW.....

Welcome Lisa and future hubby Dave, I am Andy, a "Friend of the Bash on the Boat" you will be sailing with a great group of DISers on this cruise. Andy may I add an early congrats as this will be your Honeymoon Cruise, what a way to celebrate!!! :goodvibes

Thanks...I always wanted a "disneymoon" but we have also wanted to try something different and we thought this would be a great way to combine my love for Disney and trying something new. We actually may stay in Orlando for a few days on Hilton points before the cruise so I will probably still get my regular Disney fix. We knew we wanted our trip to be fun but we also wanted it to be a little more laid back and relaxing than hustling around the parks all day. So we are got a veranda room on the aft of deck 5 (5622) (yay!), we are planning on trying some spa treatments, and we are debating on doing brunch or dinner at Palo or maybe even both since it is a 7 night cruise.

Actually I have my first DCL newbie question if anyone would like to help-

Since I have never sailed on DCL before I won't be able to book Palo or spa until 75 days out (assuming everything is paid in full) - I have heard that by that time ressies at Palo and spa may be hard to come by? Is this the case on the 7 night cruise? Or is it more so on the shorter cruises? From what I understand there areas set up on board the first day to make these ressies? What is the likely hood that I will be able to get reservations for either Palo or spatreatments in my case? I know about the Romance Escape Package which allows you to book Palo earlier and you get the tropical rain forest pass - but it is too expensive for us since we really do not want the robes or the alcohol it includes (we are not big drinkers) so we are not going to do that. Any insight or advice on how to book these things would be great.

Morning all

Well I was feeling much better again this morning so I hopped onto my elliptical and made it thru my 15 mins without coughing too badly. I will go one more week of 15mins to get myself back into that schedual then I will try to start increasing my time again.. hopefully I will lose some weight.. I gained 6 pounds after my first week of workout.. how fustrating is that?!?!?

Pictures are awsome Cathy!! the sunset was amazing!!

I am Cass and I will be cruising with my hubby Rob and my daughter Kira who will be just shy of 3.

Hate to hear that Andy, but somehow it makes vacation even more fun when you find out they're having lousy weather at home.

If you can't get what you want at the 75 day mark, you can always book your appointments when you get onboard. They need to keep some time open for the people who don't use the online advance booking. As long as you book these as soon as you can when you get on the ship (check the navigator for time and place!) I think you should be fine. :thumbsup2

I've been really bad this past 8 days now and to be honest, I'm not ready to get back on track :rolleyes2 I think I will take a Mulligan for the rest of the month and get back on track on February 1st :)

Here we are at the Hoop Dee Doo Review last night. Check out the location of our table! More pictures and info when I get to the full trip report.

I think we can all agree that you have had your fair share of crap this month so you get a freebie ;)

You want to be alone curling night or can I invade your home?

WELCOME ABOARD LEESY. We are a fun group but a bit crazy sometimes.
As Cass said if you have any questions fire away because most of us are veteran cruisers.
Cass im glad to hear things are getting back to normal. Nancy and I were thinking of you at the time of your loss.
Cass is it as cold up where you are as it is here in Maine. Tomorrow we are due to get 12 inches of snow on top of the 15 we got last week:sad2:.
Time to go have lunch.
Say HI to ROB.

Dan

I am thinking of warmer days though. Since I've lost all this weight I needed to buy myself a smaller size pair of swim trunks. I was on eBay last night and found a nice pair of trunks for under $14.00 with free shipping. I just received and e-mail letting me know the swim trunks were mailed out this morning.....:)

No no...please invade ;) Need to get my mind off things as much as possible and planning Disney is the BEST distraction :thumbsup2 :cool1: We still have that cruise video to watch thanks to someone special :flower3:

Thanks Dan. It's been tough but I got through it with a lot of support from family and friends :grouphug:

As for weather, we just got though a 5-day cold snap and woke up to a balmy 2ºC (36F-ish) and it's looking like a nice week ahead :thumbsup2 If it wasn't for Chinooks, I don't think I could live here in Calgary :rolleyes2

Stay warm :beach:

hehehe consider your home invaded!
might bring the daughter.. she has been hanging around lately..lol

Hey Cass, hope all is well and that things are looking up for you and the family. Stay strong!

Oh, I am also thinking of starting my own website. Remember the old Dave's DCL Tribute site that had information on it? I was thinking of doing something like that. Since you have a great website, I was going to ask if you had any pointers you could offer a Newb like me.
